most explosive game ever, if you are fun you will like it.
Great turn your brain off fun! incredibly fun and fluid movement.
This is a really good game. Regardless of what others say, its very smooth and has no issues that I have seen. The graphics are good, however this is an older game so i'm not expecting them to be 100% flawless.
I enjoyed the game, the gameplay and storyline in my opinion is better than JC4
Amazing story, glide mechanics, and overall experience.
It all started on a quiet Saturday afternoon. I’d been hearing about *Just Cause 3* for a while, but I hadn’t gotten around to playing it until that moment. The excitement in my head was palpable—this was a game known for its open-world chaos, explosions, and over-the-top action. What more could a gamer ask for? I clicked “New Game,” and the screen faded to black. The adventure was about to begin.
The first thing that hit me was the sheer scale of the world. Medici, the fictional Mediterranean island, looked absolutely stunning. The sunlit beaches, craggy mountains, lush forests, and crumbling fortresses gave the game an incredible sense of place. But what really grabbed my attention was the freedom I immediately had. I wasn’t being told to do things in a linear fashion. No, *Just Cause 3* practically threw me into the world and told me to do whatever I wanted, and from that moment on, there was no turning back.
The first few hours were spent exploring, getting a feel for the terrain, and experimenting with the mechanics. The parachute was like a second skin, something I could deploy at any time to float effortlessly across the vast landscape. But when I got my hands on the grappling hook, that was when the fun truly began.
The grappling hook in *Just Cause 3* is the ultimate tool for mayhem. At first, I used it just for simple travel—pulling myself up to ledges or launching myself off cliffs. But it didn’t take long before I realized the true potential of this gadget. I began attaching enemies to trees, cars, and even helicopters. Watching them fly through the air, helplessly, as if they were ragdolls caught in an unseen storm, was hilarious. Sometimes I’d grapple two cars together and watch them crash into each other, sending both into a spiraling dance of destruction. Each moment felt like it was straight out of a Hollywood action flick. But I wasn’t making action sequences—I was creating chaos.
And let me tell you, *Just Cause 3* loves chaos. The more you cause, the more the game rewards you. Soon I was liberating towns, blowing up military bases, and taking down oppressive regimes one explosion at a time. The enemy forces, typically made up of soldiers in armored vehicles, tanks, and helicopters, seemed to always be a step behind my wild creativity. I’d steal a jeep, hook it to a nearby fuel tank, drive it into an enemy compound, and then launch it into the air, sending a fiery explosion across the landscape. There was no shortage of ways to make things go boom. Whether it was blowing up power lines to take out an entire military camp, or tying a dozen propane tanks together and watching them launch into the air in a fiery spectacle, the game gave me the freedom to approach destruction however I wanted.
The world of Medici quickly became my sandbox. The game encourages you to be bold and daring. Each region you unlock gives you more opportunities to wreak havoc. The environments—ranging from coastal towns to dense forests and imposing mountains—are rich with points of interest. Each area has its own unique flavor of chaos to offer. One of the first major objectives I tackled was taking down a heavily fortified military base. It was no easy feat. I spent hours picking apart its defenses, taking out sniper towers, destroying radar stations, and causing as much noise and destruction as I could. But the real thrill came when I liberated the base. The fireworks of explosions, the sound of collapsing structures, and the sight of enemy forces retreating in disarray made the entire experience feel cinematic, like something straight out of an action blockbuster.
But it wasn’t all about destruction. In *Just Cause 3*, the driving, flying, and even swimming are surprisingly fun. At first, I thought it would be just a means to an end—to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. But no, each vehicle, whether it’s a fast sports car or a buzzing helicopter, had its own unique feel. The vehicles are ridiculously responsive, and the game never takes itself too seriously. You could race down winding mountain roads at breakneck speeds, throwing yourself into high-speed chases with enemy convoys, or take a little detour and leap out of a plane to skydive into a distant base. It was thrilling to see how much the game encouraged me to experiment with different ways of traversing the world.
I remember one particular mission where I had to destroy a convoy transporting an important target. Simple enough, right? But instead of just blowing it up from a distance, I wanted to have some fun. I hijacked a nearby helicopter, soared above the convoy, and deployed my trusty grappling hook. With a flick of the wrist, I tethered myself to the lead vehicle and, before the enemy could even react, pulled myself straight into the driver's seat. Then, with a simple yank of the wheel, I sent the convoy into a mad spiral of collisions and fiery explosions. The chaos that unfolded felt like a personal victory, a testament to how the game’s mechanics give you the freedom to be as creative or as reckless as you wanted.
The more I played, the more I unlocked. The game doesn’t hold back when it comes to giving you tools of destruction. By the time I unlocked the booster for my parachute, I was gliding across the sky at ridiculous speeds, launching myself into explosions or sniping enemies from insane heights. It was all about figuring out how to make the most insane scenarios happen, whether that was by launching a tank into a sea of soldiers or creating a chain reaction that obliterated entire military installations.
Even the side activities, like challenges, races, and collectibles, were just as exciting. They often led me to places I hadn’t explored yet, rewarding curiosity with more opportunities for chaos. Some of these activities were built around stunts—gliding through rings, performing insane jumps, or completing missions as quickly as possible. These challenges gave me the perfect excuse to test out the game’s mechanics, and they never felt like filler. Each one felt like another opportunity to have fun.
But perhaps what made *Just Cause 3* stand out the most was the sense of total freedom. Unlike other open-world games where you’re constantly being funneled into missions or guided along a set path, *Just Cause 3* made me feel like I was always in control. I could do whatever I wanted. Whether I chose to follow the story or completely ignore it in favor of causing utter mayhem, the game never judged. It was a world that encouraged you to go big, go wild, and most importantly, have fun.
There were no limits. Every mission was an invitation to create my own style of destruction. I could go in guns blazing, sneak around with stealth, or build the most outrageous contraptions using the grappling hook and explosives. *Just Cause 3* was more than a game—it was a playground, a world where the only rule was that there were no rules.
By the time I was done, I’d freed Medici from the oppressive forces that ruled it, but I’d also had one of the most fun and chaotic experiences in my gaming life. I didn’t just play *Just Cause 3*—I lived it, and every moment felt like an unforgettable thrill. The explosions, the stunts, the chaos—it all combined to create an experience that, no matter how many times I played, would always be just as fun.
Phenomenal game with great destruction physics. only bad thing i would say is that the gun play is mediocre as you cant aim so its just hip-fire spraying. also if you get the game, get the sky island DLC and max out the bavarium wing-suit. I'm telling you the avarium wing-suit is the best investment I've ever made. i doubt i would've completed the game without it.
sick ass game with cool mechanics, graphics is kinda great though its a 9 years old game never expected this!
too many bugs interfere with the game, when there is a bug we are forced to exit the game and then enter it again, we can't just repeat the mission but we have to exit the game.
very funny but I have already bought it and it's been a long time, even though this game is very funny because it is not logical
The bugs are also very funny, such as the number of enemies is 2 short, the mission doesn't run, the plane can't lock the target
the story is good, but blowing bridges up is even better

One of the best games I've ever played. So much variety and sh*t you can do. Blow everything up, attach people to cars with the grappling hook or fly around. Just cause 3 has it all. 10/10.
the game forces internet connection on you, wastes approx. 2 mins every time you return to the homescreen, spams you with useless leaderboard which happens to be the online thing that internet connection was used for and some times just gives you a message "cannot reach servers" and then you have to generate an OTP in a browser window, but that button isn't even visible on 2160p. Stupid decisions one after the other are the reason that this series has no traction what so ever today.
this game is good i love it
im no professinal critic so dont take my word for it
but i think it balances story and destruction sandbox well and i enjoy basically all of it
the game crashes after playing for 1 hour... steam is denying to provide any support for this game.
fun game. I just want to have a personal talk with the designer of crash bomb laguna blast <3 otherwise fun game
An Overall Gameplay masterpiece. destruction surrounds you and is literally the main purpose of the game! the story is quite meh but its worth the price!
very fun game, hours of gameplay. Good for people who like action and gore but not those with a faint heart or sensitive ears
A decent game to kill time. You are not here for the story or the characters but to blow sh!t up and the game is pretty good at that. However, you've seen most of the destruction in the first two hours and the rest of the game continues to be the same. The map is huge and divided into regions and every region has a similar if not the same checklist of things to blow. The driving controls are worse than the second game and it's surprising how they even made it into the final game. Sure, you are not going to drive any vehicle since the equipment you have is more than enough to get you from one place to another but some missions and challenges require you to drive which can lead to death by boredom. Speaking of challenges, you need to do them in order to unlock upgrades. The only good type of challenge in the game is the wingsuit challenge which requires a decent amount of skill and unlocks some pretty cool upgrades. I wouldn't bother with others.
Would only suggest this game if you are REALLY into blowing stuff up and looking cool while doing that but even then, I think the second game did it much better.
a lot of Creative potential to be had playing this game. I mostly went guns Blazing but there are tools that allow you to be More methodical to your approach.
i love the gameplay loop, has alot to offer and simmilar graphics to gta5
it is a fun game not by story but by gameplay . love to destroy things , story doesn't have any significant impact. if thinking to by then wait for sale
I cannot believe that I have not written a review for this game after 100 hours of playtime. I truly love this game. It is, in my opinion, the BEST open world game in existence, and a fantastic sandbox that gives you so many toys to play with. JC4 is the MOST disappointed I have ever been in a game.
Greatest gameplay of all time. Would play this if it was my last day on Earth.
Love this game, 100% recommend buying it whenever it's on sale.
10/10 would love to experience again.
I love ya jc3.
A childhood favorite game. The Babhariam wingsuit is one of my favorite additions to the game.
Just Cause 3 is an open world mayhem in which you can do everything to cause chaos. I like it.
This game has a problem with SMAA_T2X anti-aliasing in which everything becomes blurry when moving (Having Motion Blur turned off). I recommend others to play this game at SMAA anti-aliasing in which that problem doesn't occur.
Otherwise this is a good game which one will surely enjoy playing.

Super fun, imagine the perfect video game you had in mind as a kid; like that makes you feel like you are in an action movie. This is it.
Its a great game but the constant crashing due to poor optimization is a concern.
The story is both good and bad at different moments, frankly this was a great game that coulda been massive but it feels like they didnt add the extra they could have into it.
Solid 7/10
Good like GTA but less adult stuff like blood and great graphics
The game crashes at random, making it hard to enjoy longer play sessions.
Entertaining mindless fun. The script is doesn't take itself too seriously. The game has it's moments especially once you start to master the aerial death machines.
Masterpiece of a game!! Beautiful graphics, awesome story and most importantly constant fun gameplay.
Pro Tip: Don't get JC4, just get this one instead because it is better!
I bought this game last year, I underestimated it but my fyp tiktok kept showing up with this video game and yeah I tried playing it again and boom I was hooked
SAM sites constantly respawn, hacked SAM sites target you if you steal a helicopter, you'll faceplant into a helicopter and ragdoll onto the ground, killing you. You'd think with how old this game is, the devs would've fixed those things by now.
For what it is, It's fun. I bought it for 90% off, which helps. I can't imagine paying much more than 4-5€ for it given the age and the glitchiness, but for that price it's totally worth it.
this game is very good and runs ok even though my pc is bad
it is like gta just with less violence and 18+ content
This is an open world completely free sandbox game. If you like shooting bad guys and blowing things up, buy this game when it goes on sale. Super fun and worth it.
Dear Avalanche Studios/Possible Game Buyers,
This game has bought me hours of entertainment. The overall structure and feel of the game is nothing short of beautiful. When I am swooping through the air with my wing-suit and parachute I feel a rush of adrenaline like nothing I have ever felt before.
The overall optimisation and graphical performance of this game is impeccable, and should not be frowned upon. I have 30,000 hours total across all my accounts on this game, and it still feels fresh and exciting every time I play.
Unfortunately, my wife almost left me due to my severe addiction to this game; however, it would have been worth it if it meant I got some peace and quiet to enjoy this game more.
Those originating from the Middle East region would love this game as it consists highly of heavy artillery and explosive devices. Having the ability to fly into a building is nothing short of magical, and brings me great pleasure.
I would like to personally thank the developers for allowing such features to be included.
Being able to grapple innocent civilians in the face and throw them off of great heights gives me my daily dose of happiness; in fact, it is often the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning.
In short, this game is truly magical. Thank you to everyone who worked on this game.
Yours Truly,
The Beast Himself.

7/10 , graphics are good missions repetitive but yeah game is good 👍
I captured all the points before I knew there was fast travels, destruction wise very nice, but after completing everything and doing the story its took me less than an hour, im guessing its because the once manned base's are now manned and controlled by my men but besides that the story felt short, the game however shows so much innovation for its time, I remember wanting this game when it first came out, good things i got to play it
Really good game, i had it when i was 8 and i chose to check it again when i saw it at a disscount, the open world sandbox of this game is a 10/10 although the story is kinda meh. I recommend it.
Hilarious adventure filled with explosions, quirky characters, and endless opportunities for chaos. I have the DLC with the Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass, and you get the Bavarium Wingsuit which basically gives Rico a jetpack wingsuit and you can fly all over the map. If you want a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously and lets you unleash your inner pyro, grab the XXL edition for 3$ more before Nov1. Seriously what else can you even buy for 6 dollars in 2024?
The driving in this game is so garbage. Completing the side mission is getting annoying for this reason. Little fun but not too much fun as compared to what other open games has provided. This game feels left out once you start playing other games. So, It'll be in your library wasting your disk space.
GTA with a grappling hook and wing suit. Super fun game
Pros:
-Expansive Open World: The game features a massive Mediterranean-inspired island to explore, with diverse terrains and beautiful scenery.
-Destruction and Physics: One of its biggest draws is the over-the-top destruction, with highly satisfying explosions and physics mechanics. Blowing up enemy bases feels epic.
-Traversal Options: The grappling hook, parachute, and wingsuit combo make for exhilarating movement. It’s easy to feel like a one-person army with the ability to zip around and take down enemies.
-Creative Combat: From tethering enemies to explosive barrels to chaining together high-octane stunts, there’s room for creativity in taking down enemies.
-Fun, if Simple Story: The game leans heavily into the "action movie" vibe with Rico’s storyline, which is simple but fun, keeping the focus on explosive gameplay.
---
Cons:
-Repetitive Gameplay: Missions can start to feel repetitive, as they often involve taking out bases and blowing up similar structures, which might get stale after a while.
-Performance Issues: On some platforms, there are long load times, frame drops, and other performance hiccups, which can take away from the fun.
-Lack of Depth: While it’s fun to destroy everything, the story and characters are pretty thin, so it’s not the most narratively driven game.
-Limited Replayability: Once you’ve unlocked the whole map and blown up enough stuff, it can feel like there’s not a lot left to keep you coming back.
---
Rating:
For an action-heavy, open-world experience with a focus on physics-based destruction and freedom, Just Cause 3 shines as a 8/10. It’s thrilling and fun for fans of chaotic open-world gameplay but can feel limited in depth and narrative engagement.
JC3 is one of my top 5 games, unless its the PC port. To start, the controls are not made for PC as it doesnt use the full keyboard meaning the same keys are used for duel inputs making the game horrid to control without the use of a controller. Secondly, the game doesnt stay in fullscreen nor does it keep the resolution, as it sporadically alters my setting in the event of a steam popup (Like achievement conformation)(though this may just be me). Lastly, the UI is buggy as the menu and Map both stop responding to inputs from the mouse or in the Map UI, the inability to select cities/bases for a map marker.
Overall I would NOT recommend the PC version of the game, but i would recommend the console version
its amazing, i had tons of funny experiences, sure its a bit laggy on my dying 970 but when i get a fan it runs beautifully, the other best part is that your italian and you have someone with you named mario.
This game teaches the youth that the easiest way to remove a dictator is usually the most exciting. Lot's of bombs.
good game, love the grappling hook, they could have done better on some things but overall the game isnt bad its pretty good
