В этом продолжении оригинальных приключений Осьмипапы наш головоногий герой оказывается в очередной передряге — при растущем недоверии своей супруги он вынужден предпринять исключительно неудачный поход в местный аквариум. Достаточно ли у тебя отцовских качеств, чтобы контролировать титулованного отца-осьминога, пока он пытается скрыть своё морское происхождение от семьи и оставить свои щупальца целыми и невредимыми?
В октябре 2010 года команда студентов выпустила в мир оригинальную версию Octodad. Несмотря на всеобщее убеждение в том, что это всего лишь симулятор обычного человеческого отца, игра стала культовым хитом, получила освещение в прессе и стала финалистом в студенческой категории «Фестиваля Независимых Игр» 2011 (Independent Games Festival). Octodad привлек достаточно внимания, чтобы сподвигнуть команду на кампанию по сбору средств на Kickstarter и формирование студии Young Horses — всё для того, чтобы сделать новую игру про Осьмипапу больше, лучше и наделить должной полировкой. Спустя два с половиной года после начала разработки, Octodad: Dadliest Catch (в перевеоде «Осьмипапа: Отцовский Улов») готов неуклюже плюхнуться в ваши объятья.

- Доведите до совершенства нарядный стиль Осьмипапы, собирая и примеряя множество спрятанных по уровням галстуков.
- Соберитесь с семьей или друзьями для совместного прохождения игры. От двух до четырех игроков могут совместно управлять отдельными конечностями Осьмипапы!
- Получите доступ к редактору уровней, с помощью которого разработчики создавали игру (доступен только под Windows). Стройте собственные уровни любой степени нелепости и размещайте их на Steam Workshop для прохождения другими игроками.
- Попробуйте новые и модифицированные уровни, созданные игроками и создателями Octodad в разделе Steam Workshop. (PC/Mac/Linux)
- Испытайте разнообразие всевозможных моделей управления, используя контроллеры X360, DualShock4, мышь с клавиатурой, мульти-тачпад на MacBook, тачскрин Windows 8. Возможно использование любых других контроллеров и джойстиков, поддерживающих DirectInput или XInput с возможностью настройки под любую желаемую игроком конфигурацию.

The closest I'll be to being in a relationship.
This is a short little game about playing as (and struggling to control) an octopus posing as a person. And it's absolutely delightful! The game puts you in a variety of environments with plenty of different goals and challenges. It doesn't overstay its welcome, it explores its premise and ideas well then ends, which I greatly appreciate. This is really worth playing if you want a silly game to play for a little while!
This game was truly inspiring, it has made me realise I shouldn't hide in the shadow that is society, I shall be confident, and reveal my true self, as a beastiality specialist. Me and my octopus wife are going to be going public in the near future, wish me luck.

game is 100 minutes long
ultra boring
Play it with a controller. Nostalgic, funny and weirdly charming. It's kind of short but has a nice gameplay (it's all fun and games until you decide to get all the achievements, that is). Advice for getting all achievements: don't- unless you don't value your sanity like me LOL

I remembering that moment, when I saw it on YouTube like 7-8 years ago, and wanted to buy it. And finally got it. And it's amazing! Cool mechanic and strange story, nice movement and interactions! And because of it I love it

While a little short and having played it solo, I can absolutely see the appeal of this game as a party game. If you're gonna buy it though I'd suggest waiting for a sale.

I forgor to write a review for this game a LONG time ago, tbh this game was fun n' stuff. I have no clue why so many people raged at this game when it came out and struggled, it was pretty easy to control and not extremely challenging ._.
Interesting story and game mechanics.
One downside is that it is pretty short.

Truly a masterpiece, something everybody in our generation should know. I was gravely dissapointed to learn that some of my friends didnt know of this game and bought it for them. one of the best games ever and brought me lots of joy. i probably have around 50 hours on it on my ps4, safe to say this game is PEAK. buy it for funny octopus and ignore the logistics on how it works.. especially with those children.

Thank you, Young Horses, for this absolute masterpiece of a game. thrilling story and immense stakes I really felt like an Octodad while playing this. 10/10 Would recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it yet. I will be thinking about this game for years to come.
Beat the game in under 2 hours. Suck on that Mark!
It's short but fun, probably around 3 hours to complete the game +2 shorts (free DLC) and to get all the ties hidden in the game it would take much longer
