В этом продолжении оригинальных приключений Осьмипапы наш головоногий герой оказывается в очередной передряге — при растущем недоверии своей супруги он вынужден предпринять исключительно неудачный поход в местный аквариум. Достаточно ли у тебя отцовских качеств, чтобы контролировать титулованного отца-осьминога, пока он пытается скрыть своё морское происхождение от семьи и оставить свои щупальца целыми и невредимыми?
В октябре 2010 года команда студентов выпустила в мир оригинальную версию Octodad. Несмотря на всеобщее убеждение в том, что это всего лишь симулятор обычного человеческого отца, игра стала культовым хитом, получила освещение в прессе и стала финалистом в студенческой категории «Фестиваля Независимых Игр» 2011 (Independent Games Festival). Octodad привлек достаточно внимания, чтобы сподвигнуть команду на кампанию по сбору средств на Kickstarter и формирование студии Young Horses — всё для того, чтобы сделать новую игру про Осьмипапу больше, лучше и наделить должной полировкой. - Получите доступ к редактору уровней, с помощью которого разработчики создавали игру (доступен только под Windows). Стройте собственные уровни любой степени нелепости и размещайте их на Steam Workshop для прохождения другими игроками.
- Попробуйте новые и модифицированные уровни, созданные игроками и создателями Octodad в разделе Steam Workshop. (PC/Mac/Linux)
- Испытайте разнообразие всевозможных моделей управления, используя контроллеры X360, DualShock4, мышь с клавиатурой, мульти-тачпад на MacBook, тачскрин Windows 8. While a little short and having played it solo, I can absolutely see the appeal of this game as a party game. If you're gonna buy it though I'd suggest waiting for a sale.

I forgor to write a review for this game a LONG time ago, tbh this game was fun n' stuff. I have no clue why so many people raged at this game when it came out and struggled, it was pretty easy to control and not extremely challenging ._.

Truly a masterpiece, something everybody in our generation should know. I was gravely dissapointed to learn that some of my friends didnt know of this game and bought it for them. one of the best games ever and brought me lots of joy. i probably have around 50 hours on it on my ps4, safe to say this game is PEAK. buy it for funny octopus and ignore the logistics on how it works.. especially with those children.

It's short but fun, probably around 3 hours to complete the game +2 shorts (free DLC) and to get all the ties hidden in the game it would take much longer
this game is the best, love the story and characters, for me i beat it in 2.7 hours, the part that i love is when octodad helps stacy through the dark ocean, the chef and octodad hug, the part where octodad meets the wife on the boat. 10/10, i would play the sequel if there was one

It's just goofy and fun. You flop around being a chaotic mess for a few hours, soaking in the absurd humor the game offers. It's a good time, and worth the few hours it takes to play through even this many years down the line.

A genuine hood classic, this game oozes with originality and love from the devs. This should be THE standard for indie games. The look and feel of the game holds up even after a decade, which is incredible for a 3d game. Some references are heavily dated and sometimes the feet can be annoying but when mastered feels incredible. The third level is a reference-fest to other indie games and IP's which brought me right back to when I first got on the internet. Octodad is an amazing game and genuinely funny, I absolutely recommend this game to anyone.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a great game. I love being an octopus! The controls can get a bit finicky at times but I really enjoyed my overall experience with the game. It's a funny, charming game with a lot of love put into it. 100% was not hard to achieve and the story was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend playing it if you get the chance to, however, it is a short game, so maybe wait for it to be on sale

Despite how young my account is and my ownership of this game, this is one of THE first games i have ever played on steam. I remember playing this on a very old laptop, (back near 10 or so years ago)and it was quite difficult to play without a mouse. But for little ol kid me, this was incredible, for present me... it's still one of the best out there. A diamond in the rough. Incredibly fun to speedrun, Even more fun to Struggle Play with friends! And a classic theme song: OCTODAAAAaaaaaaaD NOBODY SUSPECTS A THING!
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game where you play as a octopus pretending to be a human father. Dealing with family life while hiding his true identity, he must navigate everyday tasks with intentionally awful controls, all while evading an octopus chef who is determined to expose him. The game combines humor and heart and has given me a great time.
Gameplay: 8/10
The bizarre physics of your character is easy to learn and very hard to master. It's new, and that's what makes it entertaining. The game is always giving you something fun and/or life threatening to face always keeping you engaged. However, this control system can occasionally feel frustrating. Just remember Octodad is about embracing the absurdity of its physics rather than overcoming them.

Beneath all the physical comedy, there’s a touching narrative about family and identity. The deeper you get into the story, the more you realize that this isn’t just about an octopus trying to fit in—it's about an individual trying to be the best father he can, even if his very awkward nature makes that an uphill battle.
Humor: 10/10
Every single interaction, whether it’s trying to make a sandwich or sneak through a crowded mall, is family friendly and mixed with goofy movement and funny comments from very confused people. The voice acting, particularly from Octodad and his family, is superb and never gets old.
Replayability: 5/10
Once you completed the story. It's unlikely that you'll play it again. But for those who want to get 100% of the achievements. They'll have a fun and frustrating time spending hours trying to get ties all the way up out of reach.
Final Verdict: 8.5/10
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is an absolute blast to play. It’s chaotic to play with a surprising amount of heart. Whether you’re in it for the laughs or the surprisingly sweet family dynamic, this indie title is one that will stick with you long after the credits roll.
