my memory of TRIALS EVOLUTION was me spending time in my room, on a small-ish tv screen, making my weird little guy jump off his bike and break all his bones and bounce with ragdoll physics. i love ragdoll physics.
coming back to it, and playing basically the whole thing, wow! what a fun little game, very enjoyable. love the bike physics puzzles
only real complaint is that in the trials hd levels the physics are a bit weird since i think theyre just straight ports of the hd levels and dont really account for updated bike physics
also they never ported the dlc to pc because haha surely the xbox 360 store will last forever right. right? haha.

Great game, the amount of content has depreciated over the years since servers are shutdown and the community made awesome tracks back in the day.
Here's hoping Redlynx would make another good Trials at some point with either Steam Workshop or some other external service that doesn't rely on Ubisoft. They've shown that they will shutdown servers or games regardless and not relying on their servers would future proof these sorts of games indefinitely.

I paid 5.38 for this game. This is more of a fair price for the game, There isn't much here for anyone.

-Same classic game you remembered, fun game good amount of campaign to go through I got 3hrs and now only the difficult tracks.

[The Positives]
- Fun, addicting gameplay.
- Challenging but usually fair.
- Fun physics engine.
- Good amount of character/bike customization.
- Good amount of overall content and levels.
- Contains all of the levels from Trials HD.
- Some of the levels have cool designs and flow very well.
- Cool environmental easter eggs.
- Decent music.
- Decent graphics.
[Mixed]
- $20 is a bit steep for it's age, but the game usually goes on sale for reasonable prices.
[The Negatives]
- Ubisoft Connect launcher and account are required.
- Online services have been shut down. This includes multiplayer and user generated levels.
- Missing DLC content from the Xbox 360 version.
- No Steam achievements (Ubisoft Connect achievements are available.)
- Limited graphics options. No built-in anisotropic filtering.
- 60 fps cap.
[Conclusion]
While the PC port of Trials Evolution is inferior to the Xbox 360 version, this game is still really fun and addictive. It's availability on PC makes it much more accessible than the original.

WARNING: This game WILL NOT LAUNCH and will keep you stuck at the Ubisoft Launcher due to the server shutdowns. There is no way around this and is therefore IMPOSSIBLE to play this game. It's a nothing but a waste of money and storage space now.
It's a great game, but the hoops you have to jump through to play it just isn't worth it. I try to start the game using my ROG Ally, since it's a perfect type of pick up and play game. There's an update through Steam. That's fine. The Ubisoft launcher needs an update. Okay, but make it quick. After it downloads, the Windows dialog box asks me if the launcher can make changes to Windows. Sure. Time passes. The same dialog comes up a second time. Okay. The dialog comes up for a third time. I freaking said yes now get on with it. It finally gets to the login part, and the stupid launcher hasn't saved my username and password, and I don't have it on me, and it would such a pain to enter this on the ROG Ally anyways. Sorry, but I'm not going through that every time I feel like playing this game.
Greatest motorbike game created of all time
Fun game. Gold medal hunting is very addicting. Wanted to pick it up after not playing for a while. But alas: Ubisoft launcher is now needed, updates, problems with logging in... Half an hour later and still haven't played.
This game is a diamond in the rough in Ubisoft's library. This game is genuinely amazing and has genius level design. You could spend so much time on just one track improving your time, and as somebody who has played all 4 games, I personally think Evolution is the best one, with Rising and Fusion in 2nd and 3rd for me.

Cons:
You cannot get DLCs on this version of the game, meaning it is literally impossible to get the Gecko and the other bike

Otherwise, this game is factually great, and despite this game being 12 years old, this is a game that I think everyone should at least play. Once.
The Ubisoft launcher pretty much makes this unplayable. A decent game both hampered by and completely ruined by additional needed software which is purely there to mine personal data for money making.
What a garbage company Ubisoft are.
Stop letting shareholders run gaming companies. This is why the industry is full of boring, repetitive, copycat, remake after remake drivel.

This game is great! If you ever played Trials HD on the XBOX 360 back in the Halo 3 and COD: WAW days, this is the same game just the PC Version!
This would be great if the game loaded up within a minute and you could dive into the action. But no, Ubisoft want you to log into their system as well so they can collect your data and sell it. Oh and they decide all of a sudden that your legit password doesn't work you can't play the game that you paid for. And they've stopped supporting online features.
I've got my money's worth but it's just dodgy business conduct by Ubisoft. I'll be looking elsewhere when I see their titles.
Played this back on the 360 back in the day. It's simple yet brilliant.

Trash Ubisoft doing what they do by selling products that don't work. This game used to launch but good luck getting it to work nowadays. I'd refund this if I could.
What you should do is just wait for 360 emulation to get a bit more refined in a few years and emulate this game because right now it is unplayable on any modern PC because Ubisoft Connect doesn't work for this specifit title. DO NOT BUY THIS AND DO NOT SUPPORT UBISOFT, GARBAGE COMPANY!!!!
A stellar game ruined by GooberSoft's garbage. I purchased this game through the mobile app before I drove home, with the intention to install and play once I arrived. I install the game, hit play, and was greeted with the Ubisoft Connect crap. This was already a red flag. Why does a game from 2012 require that dumpster fire of a f****** launcher? But whatever, If I want to relive the glory days of this game then I have to deal with it so fine.
The game gives me a CD Key. Another red flag. I purchased the game, so I own the game, so just let me play the GOD D*** GAME! But ok, fine. I copy and paste the CD Key. Ubisoft then requires me to log into my account. But whats this? It registered the CD Key to an account I haven't used in 4 F****** YEARS!! I know this was a miss-step on their end, because I have other GooberSoft titles in my library that I have played just fine using my current account. (The one I have been using for 4 years since ditching the old account). And It wont let me login to the current one because... BECAUSE?? So I basically spent $20 to get F***** IN THE A**. I now own a game that I CANNOT PLAY because I cannot access a dead Ubi account from YEARS AGO!! They pulled a DEAD ACCOUNT from its F****** GRAVE just because they could, despite me having used my current for years! They could have at least let me log in BEFORE I linked the CD Key so that I didn't waste the damn key and end up with a lemon in my library!
It should be as simple as purchase and play. But no, that's too simple for GooberSh*t to manage. I am uninstalling and have requested a full refund from Steam. GET F***** UBISOFT!! Useless company!
