Finishable in one evening, played it few times over years, still amazing each time. One of the best puzzle games out there, one really has to think not only outside of the box, but outside of common logic and even laws of universe. the ambience really gives a nice touch to wandering throughout the endless corridors. And the quotes push you on through the game, for some, it can even push them through life. 10/10
Just a fantastic experience.
Very neat and amusing game. Not sure why it costs 20 whole dollars tho

got this game a few days ago when i remembered playing it as a kid, unironically helped shape my world view and was always part of my memory
very fun and unique, good experience
Antichamber is amazing. I started playing this game after Alexander Bruce's GDC talk. Really great talk, really great game. But frustrating too. Don't be hard on yourself, look up a wiki if you have to. Some of the puzzle solutions are really ad hoc.
There were also what seemed like bugs to me. I'm playing this game in 2024 on a setup that has far exceeded what DX9 has ever expected. As an example, there's this one puzzle called lighting the fuse, and while I knew the solution for my life I could not get it to work at all.
Still, you should play antichamber. Bruce mentioned in his talk that his entire 7 year (!) development process for this game was to do something as distinct as possible, and you can tell because Antichamber was really one of the first games of its genre.
It's crazy that Antichamber is Bruce's only published game. The development of the game drove him nuts, and he hasn't returned to the industry since (though I hope he comes back!)
Highly recommended, especially with that GDC talk too.
Amazing puzzle game, probably one of the best puzzle games available on Steam!
A totally unique, awesome, maddening journey. Highly recommend.
Trippy. Cool. Best puzzle game I've ever played.
An ingenious and genuiely mind-bending puzzle game, Antichamber seems to always know exactly what's going on in the player's head. Many of the solutions to puzzles are so clever it'll feel like you're breaking the game, but you're almost certainly not. The game knows.
Trippy and challenging. Very interesting and could be very fun to speedrun
We love the music and sound effects, bueatiful boxes with inspiring thought provocing quotes of inspiration. Puzzle the distraction it will and can provide, if you don't give up when you become feeling lost. Happy smilez :)
This game is amazing and a ton of fun. My only issue with it was that I reached basically the end without the final gun upgrade and didnt really know what to do from there. But the game was very well done and deserves the positive reviews 100%
Vsync is forced on by default which causes nauseating stutters on a VRR display.
Hacking an INI file to turn Vsync off and unlock the framerate breaks the game’s physics.
Perplexingly limited in-game selection of display resolutions (hacking an INI file is not an acceptable solution).
No in-game method for changing refresh rate, Vsync or FOV (hacking an INI file is not an acceptable solution).
No borderless fullscreen support.
No anti-aliasing support.
No support for multiple save files.
Barebones use of Steam features (no Steam Cloud save games, no achievements, missing store graphical assets, etc.).
No controller support (hacking an INI file is not an acceptable solution).
No remapping keyboard and mouse functions (hacking an INI file is not an acceptable solution).
No in-game volume controls.
Steam Deck trackpads vibrate incessantly with any character or camera movement.
This goes beyond poor or outdated design choices. This game is profoundly technically deficient and should not be for sale in this state.
I have no clue if there was a story or not but the ending looked kinda cool- not as good as Manifold Garden tho. Liked the puzzles in this one, only had to search up one of them. worth on sale
The greatest puzzle game ever made. Beaten several times, just not on Steam. It's $20, you ain't risking a lot.
A nice, medium-short abstract puzzle game (with fun colors!)
You'll be having intrusive thoughts about this game long after you've finished it. Though the playtime is around 4 hours, it somehow felt like I was trapped in its mind-bending world for days.
absolute mind fuck- ABSOLUTELY FUN. will make you angry.
videos game.
This game is absolutely extraordinary. Brilliant. Delicious. Creative. Challenging. Frustrating. Maddening. Delightful. Can't. Must. ???
hands down one of the best puzzle games ive ever played
must play puzzle game
I love this game so much! Great puzzles, so much creativity!
This game was fantastic, from the mind fuckery to very hard puzzles and environments I'm pretty surprised i managed to complete it without looking anything up.
I thoroughly love these "drop you in an environment and leave you to figure stuff out" types of puzzle games. (think stuff like Myst, The Witness, etc.) and wish we got these sorts of games more often.
It should be a requirement for every future president of the United States to solve the Entrepeneur at least once.
After a frustrating start, everything clicked. Really fun to figure out.
Just completed the game (apart from one secret pink aspect I don't intend to fiddle with for a while, anywho) in 8.6 hours. Big thanks to Metasniper for showing this to my brother, and to my brother, who in turn told me about this game and how crazy it is back like ten years ago now -- this is something I cite as a fundamental reason I got into playing video games so much and why I love them so much.
It's been like ten years, and I've had this game in the back of my mind for this whole time, and been really hyped up to play this for the entire time, just waiting for the right time. Today was the right time, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. It's worth the full price, but this game also goes on sale regularly.
This is a very brainy puzzle game, and if that's not your style, fair enough, feel free to move along -- this one is a big brain game. However, if you have a big brain and are interested, get this game -- it will not disappoint, and it deserves more attention.
Classic.
Edit: Just ran credits; new review: This game is really beautiful and clever. You're almost definitely going to need a guide unless you're an absolute puzzle game wiz. At times, certain things are a bit janky and frustrating, but overall, learning new solutions to puzzles and applying them to different applications is pretty rewarding. Overall the game is beautiful and engaging. I definitely give it a thumbs up, albeit it's not perfect, and again be prepared to need a guide.
I love this game, it's clever and ephemeral , however once you can generate bricks, the game crashes with a certain brick limit which happens kind of frequently... the game either needs to fix that or stop generating bricks at a limit.
Amazing puzzle game. Keep playing it every now and then.
My brain is fried but happy
One of the must play FPP
So oniric and challenging. Definitely a unic experience. A must for those who love puzzles.
another motion sickness inducing puzzle game, this genre sucks
After only watching pink cubes I finally managed to get past first puzzle.
One the best mindfuck games around still as good as it was on release
Would've benefited from higher res settings but those could still be achieved through console
Give at a go if you really like puzzles, trippy environments, or just unusual games in general
Every journey comes to an end
Amazing puzzle game
top tier game 10/10
I'm dumb.
really fun once you start to understand the rules it plays around, takes about 6 hrs to beat
Pretty wild.
i dropped this game like 10 times in years ive owned this because I didnt have the patience to keep playing.
im now on track to finish it for the first time.
i like the sound design.
graphics are okay.
the little quotes and cartoons are neat.
it can be frustrating but also easy to cheat sometimes.
a bit of mindfuckery which can sometimes be avoided a bit by using the map to quick travel.
alright puzzle game.
This is, legitimately, one of those games I wish I could experience for the first time again. It's got good puzzles, it's got a good message, and there are few things like it out there. Even if it's over a decade old, it holds up.
possibly the greatest puzzle game of all time?
good
Cool weird puzzles, definitely doesn't hold your hand
very, very good. only took me 9 years to complete
lots of well made non-euclidian and out-of-the-box puzzles
do note: it does not run on windows 11 i think. at least i cant install the .net framework 2/3 things that windows says this game needs, and it otherwise refuses to launch. it does however run brilliantly on the steam deck! somehow.
