Terrible optimization. Struggles on an RTX 3070 and an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D at medium settings.
This game is awesome and I miss it being more relevant.
I love this game
The Secret world was great, this Re-release was awful it, it took away what made The Secret World Unique and enjoyable while seeking to bilk those that had lifetime etc more money for everything that was already purchased. Why Funcom is Failcom 90% of the games they seem to trash and then abandon

A very good game - some very hard parts but well worth it - can get a bit challenging in group play but if you take your time and stick together then mostly fine.
I had fun with this game when it was a monthly payment.
Now it's absolute dogshit.
An utter train wreck of a re-release. Cut out the whole combat system in favour of a simplistic Action RPG, didn't even port over legacy characters and released with such a laughably bad story expansion I was left insulted by how little of a value proposition I even got out of it
RPG with quest story lines
I've been playing this game for years and years, back before it even changed to Secret World Legends. It's the most involved story of any MMO I've ever played, the most creative and engaging narrative and storylines for quests. The gameplay is nothing exciting, early 10's MMO fare, with quite a bit of customization options in terms of breadth but not depth. The microtransactions can be killer, but it's far from pay-to-win, more of pay-to-rush.
I thoroughly recommend playing it, and supporting the game by becoming a patron for a month or two - play through the main story, enjoy the plot and the writing, and dream about what might have been.
