A stress free game and a classic. 10/10
Its like Lego Batman The Videogame, but the sequel
Finally 100% completed the game, and uh... yeah, I recommend it. It can be tedious at times, but it's a great experience.

Lego Batman literally breaks the goons apart & Lego Superman lasers them to oblivion, what more can you get?
yes game is good and story too just most puzzles are same so get ready for boring puzzles everywhere

Lego Batman 2 is an excellent next step from Lego Batman 1. Everything that made the first game a blast makes a return here along with plenty of great new additions.
To start with what has returned, the game once again has a great cast of characters and vehicles, Batman and Robin showcase tons of wacky abilities that feel straight out of the 60s TV show, and there's tons to appreciate in each character's animations and weapons.
This game adds Gotham as a vast hub world to explore with hundreds of collectibles scattered about, and exploring the city in all of your unlocked vehicles is a great experience (a major step up from the older Lego games where you could only use vehicles in their god awful vehicle levels). Also, this game has an original story! Complete with great cutscenes, animations, and voice acting! The missions all feel more grandiose because of it, and it feels like I'm actually doing something to save Gotham compared to the first game where I'm just aimlessly catching villains in their hideouts.
The game still has its downsides, though. For one, while I do like an open world with collectibles, getting every collectible available is a grind. This doesn't matter much if you're not going for 100%, but most people are when playing Lego games; it's kinda their schtick. Some of Batman and Robin's abilities are tedious to use, especially Robin's water hose, but you won't be needing them most of the time fortunately.
Lastly (and also the biggest downside), every villain besides the Joker and Lex Luthor get sidelined in this game: after the first mission, you never see any of them again in the story. So all of Two Face, the Riddler, Harley Quinn, the Penguin, and all other big names pretty much don't exist outside of being an optional character to play as during free play.
Not being able to play with a mouse and keyboard as I really do not like playing with a controller . So if you do the same i'll say save up for a better game or get Arkham trilogy
Best freeplay comparable with Lego Marvel Superheroes, the flying is a little weird but a good game.
i love this it's a bit older but it is awsome and a fun time

This game is still awesome! I haven’t played it in a decade (I used to love playing this on my Wii) but it still holds up as one of the best LEGO games. It was TT’s first attempt at an open world, and they nailed it. The voice acting is also on point here (this was the first LEGO game to prominently feature voice acting), and the story is fun and fits right into the Batman universe. The levels are also cleverly designed, and flying around Gotham as Superman listening to the legendary John Williams score will never get old.

A lot of people hold this game in high regards but I gotta say that nostalgia totally changed it for me. See, when it came out this was the closest we got to a LEGO Justice League game especially with LEGO MARVEL Superheros blatantly going off The Avengers 2012 and Iron Man 3. This is nowhere near as good as Superheros. However, it can stand on its own two feet, and it did hence the praise and nostalgia. But I gotta say that it pulled a trick (uniting the roster of the DC Universe) that Lego Batman 3 and DC Supervilians pulled off so much better. Sure there was now an open world unlike the hub in LEGO Batman 1 but I gotta say I prefer the hub of Batman 1 to this. Gotham is so uninteresting, especially compared to LEGO Batman 3 and Supervilians. And it doesn't even stand a chance with New York in LEGO Superheros and Avengers.
For Casuals:
Well its better than the hobbit lol. But it is still a LEGO game so it's fun. Worth $20? Nah, I would get a key for $3. The levels are cool but nothing that really is memorable unfortunately. The world is....well you know. Characters are great but I prefer Lego Batman 1, 3 and SV. Overall I am going to give this a 7/10.
For 100%ers:
This was surprisingly tolerable and I clocked in my run at 18hrs. The levels were super easy but only after completing the main world. Key characters like Aquaman (to wash things), penguin(bomb), Lex(his gun), Riddler(riddle boxes), Manbat (echolocation scream thing) and Joker (joker boxes and electric shock), were essential to completing levels. Everyone else, I didn't even touch. I ran superman 90% of the time until I unlocked invincibility. The main world looked like a nightmare but I just broke it down into sections and finished the whole world in about 6hrs. Having Gold, Peril and Red brick finder made it so easy. Overall for 100%ing I'd give it a 6/10 as I just got bored very easily and ended up using N0Cut5 so many times.
Casual = 7/10
100% = 6/10
Final Score= 6.5/10
If you like Lego and batman you'll have fun. If you don't I wouldn't pick it up unless your getting it in the bundle. But if your clouded by nostalgia thinking this is better than any of the other LEGO Batman games. Pick it up and play it again to see what you think.

The best Lego Blackman because of open-world. The story is short & sweet, then it's a grind for the collectables. 10/10 would recommend for NOSTALGIA.

Premature review 25% completed, going to push for 100%
Playing this right after Batman 1, annoyed with the story and now having to mindlessly run around Gotham and collecting over 200 golden bricks and other uninspired side quests I'm burnt out.
The animation is a big jump from the 1st game and some missions was enjoyable, but at the end the levels are short and the boss fights are nonexistent seeing the only big badies are Joker and Lex Luther. The ending, don't gete started, my nostalgia from this game comes with playing The Flash for the first time and having fun just running around... the only characters you get to play for all the levels are Batman, Robin and Superman, but the rest of the justice league? The last level.... only the last level.
A definite classic game, I played this game a long time ago on Xbox 360, but never completed it, playing it again now on PC is really fun
The writing is kinda ehh, as far I understand this is the first Lego Game to ever be voiced, the voice acting is good, but story wise was/is kinda over the place (as of 3 hours in of gameplay).
The game design, OMG Asylum Assignment was so annoying and it's clear they hadn't refined the Ice freezing mechanic yet, it took me an unusually long time to get through this just to find out that I need to be in a specific spot to freeze water.
Graphic wise, it's fine, I feel in some places there isn't enough contrast making some areas hard to see, but nothing unplayable.
I play on Linux and because of the animated video cut-scenes, I needed to use Proton-GE to have the videos played correctly, but other than that, this games plays amazingly well.
If you're a Lego game or Batman/DC fan, this is definitely a must play, if you are a Lego game fan, but don't necessarily care about Batman, then honestly Lego Marvel Superheroes 1 is the better/best game (nothing against DC, just feel they refined things more in LMSH1), but ye 7.5/10 (as of 3 hours of gameplay)
Kids love it. They like this one better than 1 or 3. The open world and additional collectables make it fun even after they beat the campaign.

required a downloaded component to run, but once downloaded the DX it ran perfectly. got 100% in just below 24 hours so its a relatively quick finish.

lego batman 2 dc super heroes changed my life
I prefer the first game but this one was good as well. Besides being stun-locked for a minute and a half after getting a golden brick, and trying to land on precise platforms when flying, I had a blast playing this game. My only other critiques would be how unneeded most other characters in the game are, in terms of unique features and abilities.
This game is nice, but I'm not big fan of it, still I recommend it because it's LEGO game :)
