amazing game, great plot, cool characters, long story

This is my childhood game. I've %100 the game twice now on my PS3 and on steam and so has my Dad because we used to always play it together.

It's the best LEGO game ever created!

Got this to 100% Not as good as the first one in my opinion. The golden bricks was ass too get lol and super girl was not worth it. But it is a classic. buy it

Holy wow, story mode is short but good, post-story free play sure is kind of bare bones tho

Best of the 3 Batman games.

I genuinely think that this is one of the best Lego games ever made. At least in my personal top 3, only second to Lego Marvel and probably Lego Avengers. This game improves upon everything that made the original Lego Batman great, tells a pretty solid story for a Lego game with the Lex Luthor/Joker team up plot, introduces the Justice League, brings in Gotham as a fantastic open world, and was the first Lego game to have voice acting. While it isn't my all time favorite, this one is probably my childhood favorite, and it has made me really, really happy to get to 100% this one when I was never able to do so as a kid. This all goes without saying that flying around Gotham as Superman in it of itself is fun as Hell. Highly recommend this one if you're into Batman, Lego games, or both, especially if you get the trilogy bundle for like 5 bucks, it's a steal.

lego games usually have bad vehicle missions, but this game however got me excited for every vehicle mission

this version of the game is so broken compared to the xbox version, which had updates after its release to fix the map UI and some minor issues. Im still gonna 100% all 4 save files, its a great game!

Free roam is by far this game's highlight. The open world is a great place to just beat up criminals or run over people with cars or something.

Although this game is not as good as the first one (in my opinion) i still thoroughly enjoyed the playthrough and would recommend the game. Only issue I had was that the flying in the freeroam SUCKED. Other than that pretty solid.

Good sequel, with new stuffs in it. I bought this game on 2 platforms. Xbox 360 and PC. I played this back in the old days, i had a lot of fun with this game. My favorite Lego Batman game. And i know we all love the first classic Lego Batman game and it's very good but for me Lego Batman 2 is the favorite.

In terms of a DC Super Hero game, it's passable and has plenty of Lego, Batman, and other DC humor.
Sadly there are a few too many problems for me to recommend it to new players, unless they are DC super-fans, who would play the entire saga of Lego Batman and DC games.
First of all, most of the DC heroes are absent until the last couple of Story levels, and it does not include very many of them. Lego Batman 3 and Lego DC Supervillains seem to have fixed this problem, but it is one thing that makes me feel like I purchased the wrong game.
Second, the character customizer leaves much to be desired, you can barely customize each custom character's powers or tools, even capes are restricted to specific custom character slots.
Third, most of the villains don't play a very huge role in the story, aside from Lex Luthor and The Joker. Most of them are Batman villains anyway, with just a few from others.

I have yet to play Lego Batman 3 or DC Supervillains on Steam, but having played Lego DC Supervillains on Switch, that game feels much more satisfying in my opinion. Having seen someone else play Lego Batman 3, it seems like I would have a better time with that, since it goes beyond Gotham City, or Metropolis, and has a large roster of heroes and villains from many DC comics and properties.

So I would only recommend Lego Batman 2 to DC fans who will play all the Lego DC games, because otherwise, just play Lego Batman 3, or Lego DC Supervillains, or both.

My favorite moment in the game was when Clark came out of nowhere and started telling Bruce with an echoey voice that it's been 5 years and Bruce still owes him 16 dollars, then Bruce replied with an earrape voice: "FUCK OFF-" and the scene cut perfectly.

I got it in a bundle because of nostalgia, but this game is extremely buggy. When playing single player, the player 2 CPU pathing is awful. I have also gotten soft lock stuck multiple times having to reset the entire game. The flying controls are awful, and un-responsive, my head is spinning trying to fly. I just got to a level where the studs are now unloading when I approach them... Its the Lex Luthor airship level and its unloading assets. I will also say I feel spoiled on modern controller sensitivity options, like moving the camera in this game is so sluggish when in the over-world.

I got the trilogy Bundle and I have to say is Lego Batman 1 holds up 1000 times better than Lego batman 2. Some how the player 2 pathing has never failed in Lego batman 1, its perfect, but in Lego batman 2 it gets stuck every 10 seconds in a level. I'm currently breezing through Lego batman 1 with no hiccups, but in 2 there feels to be constant road bumps in quality game play and enjoyment.

My advice, do not buy this game at full price, I got all 3 games for $4.99, and honestly Lego Batman 1 is so worth it, but not Lego Batman 2. IDK, I'll try to debug it see if it fixes anything, I'll leave an update in the coments if it does.

Replaying this game again was honestly disappointing I don't think this game is bad but just didn't live up to what the previous game was a Batman game.
I'll start with what I liked about this game, for starters the voice acting I think every actor fit greatly into the character they played the grunting had its charm but im fine with voice acting since it allows for better story telling and entertaining dialogue. Gotham looks is amazing, cloudy rainy and dark the way the buildings look, look like they're taken straight from the animated show the aesthetics of this game are spot on for a Batman game. The Cut-scenes are good I think its the best part of this game character interactions between Batman, Robin, and superman are my personal favorite moments. The gameplay is pretty much the same aside from adding some new abilities due adding more characters which is where my problems with the game begin.
For starters the story is just straight up bad boring and rushed, The story puts joker and Lex Luthor as the spotlight villains shoving every other batman villain out of the story, the whole way through you're chasing the joker and lex luthor because batman refuses superman's help until eventually batman turns around and then the entire Justice league appears at the last mission to beat joker and lex luthor. The pacing is just so terrible the JL felt like they were just shoved in at the last minute just to add more characters to the roster barely adding any unique powers to the game and majority of those unique powers aren't even used enough in the story and open world to justify their appearance in the game because they show up in the end.
This makes it even worse for the open world, as nice as it is to look at most of your time will be solving puzzles with batman superman and and robin, practically never making use of the villain character's abilities or the JL character abilities.
As for the rest of the new and old villains in this game they all get shoved out of the story for some reason and instead get turned into boring open world collectibles even the new heroes added become collectibles all requiring you to unlock gold bricks, supergirl being the absolute worst as she cost 250 gold bricks but provides nothing unique I just dont see a point in adding so many characters in this game and doing nothing with them
The main missions get halved so you only get 15 missions but they're double the length so you kinda do get 30 levels however I feel like this is just such a downgrade not because the missions suck but more couldve been done if missions stayed short allowing more space for other characters develop into the story or even adding the villains side of the story like they did in the first game.
Overrall I just think this game could've been better if it wasn't DC super heroes and instead a batman story with a superman team up Batman already has plenty of villains to work off of, mix that with a supes villain like luthor and its a set up for a great story and game. The more that I think about it this game might as well just been Lego DC justice league from the start and should've fully leaned into the Justice league story considering the 3rd game is pretty much that but for some reason they title it as Lego batman 3 anyways id recommend it despite all its flaws its an okay experience not the worst but certainly not the best lego game out there id rather recommend Lego marvel superheroes which did an absolutely better job of including many comic book heroes and validating their existence within the story.

This is a PEAK LEGO game. Every mission was interesting and I didn't get bored at all which is a real step up compared to modern day LEGO Games. Sure, the character roster is underwhelming, but the story makes up for it. The open world is probably the best part of this game next to the story as other LEGO Batman games don't have an open world Gotham anymore (excluding DC Supervillains). 8/10 Game. Definitely worth it.

so, out of the batman trilogy, this one is by far the best. I am going to get super villians on sale, and i've played it on my switch and its top 3 lego games. i think lego avengers and super heroes is better than batman 2 though.

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is a standout entry in the Lego game series!

Not only was it the first Lego game by TT Games to feature an open world, but it also marked the debut of voice acting for characters. Playing this years ago, I had an absolute blast soaring through Gotham City and uncovering all its secrets. The story was simple yet engaging, making it exciting to see what would happen next.

That said, I did find it a bit disappointing that free roam and character selection were locked until after completing the main story. However, that also made finishing the campaign feel more rewarding. The flying mechanics took some getting used to, but once mastered, they didn’t detract from the overall experience.

7.5/10 A fantastic introduction to new possibilities in Lego games, though not without a few rough edges.

played this game on wii as a kid with my friends and such fun game and was a really big departure from the go from one mission to the next with being able to do open world stuff sure the city isnt the biggest, but it feels big enough and perfect for the game. lots of characters to play and use along side, boats, planes and cars.

have fun exploring maybe you will find a civilian in peril or maybe two

Love playing the Lego games. Love the dialog between Batman and Superman. I am replaying the game I forgot how much I enjoy them.

Best lego batman game, i loved the first one but this is an upgrade, you now have an open world, more characters, more suits and more fun

Theres like 5 sidequests recycled 50 times each to justify "open world content", may be cool for ppl with nostalgia tho

Honestly while not a bad game, the open world feels a little under utilized. The voice work was enjoyable though. I just believe there was more creativity in the 1st lego batman game.

This is a great Lego game. The art direction is great. The levels and open world are very fun to explore. If you like Batman and the Lego game formula then this is a hoot and a holler.
