Improvements:
- Fullscreen mode completely redone: Less black borders!
- Added all the polish and little fixes from the iOS version to the PC version (for the iOS version see here)
- Fixed single click sometimes reported as a double click (and killing a streak sometimes :-( )
- Changed DRM wrapper. Should fix cases where game wouldn't start in Steam client but worked as DRM free version.
- Sprites grouped in texture atlases and use of hardware texture compression for better support of low spec machines
- Added user config file with additional options (for example to fix a missing mouse cursor). These options are published on the Community Forum

- Three new monster customers: Mummy Girl, Skelley the skeleton lady and the Crazy Weerwolf.
- New "affection" game mechanic: Some monsters admire some other monsters so much that they do not engage in a brawl.
- Level selection screen: You can replay any level you have played before to get all three stars (with all upgrades you bought so far). And Shady, the shop keeper, only accepts stars as currency to buy upgrades!
- Levels are reworked with the new features

Dead Hungry Diner is a very nice restaurant management game. It has cute graphics, a catchy tune (only one though), and most importantly fun and addictive gameplay!
The premise is simple, to save the city of Ravenwood from hungry dead you have to serve them a properly juicy dinner! They come every night in increased force and simple human powers might not be enough to manage the hungry horde, so you have a few magic tricks up your sleeve. To make it worse Vanda van Helsing, the hero and protector of the town, is trying to sabotage your hard work and even threatens you with Mr. Death himself!
Our main heroes are siblings, Gabriel and Gabriella. At the beginning you can choose your protagonist for serving the food and cleaning, the other one will be preparing buckets with food. The difficulty is constantly rising as new hungry monsters are presented - some dislike sitting next to each other (like vampires and werewolves etc.) so you must sit them carefully or risk them getting into a brawl and losing money because of it; as your restaurant gains popularity more monsters come and that means another queue for you to manage (yes, two)! Vanda will also visit and attack your customers, you have to stay vigilant and quickly protect them if you don't want to lose precious money. ;)
You can level up your skills with enough coins (different from regular money) and it's highly advisable to do so. Some levels are really challenging to master and those skills can make your life pretty easy. Also, a good thing is that you can pause the game and think about what to do as you can still see the gaming screen, that way you can prepare your tactic without the time pressure - convenient on higher difficulty (there are three in total).
My biggest complaint goes to the achievements - It's full of stars! for earning 1000 stars and Waiter III for serving 8000 customers. Their numbers are just ridiculous and unjustified. The 8000 customers could be doable in an All-You-Can-Eat mode where you just serve food until you are overwhelmed, so that wouldn't be such a problem. But the stars are only gained upon clearing the level for the first time! So that means you have to play the whole game again and again and again. Also, if you make the level with one or two stars and then replay it to get three, it doesn't count! You only get what you got for clearing the level the first time. Anyway, if you do superbly you end up with 150 stars for one playthrough and that means you have to play the game 7 times. Have fun. ^_^
If you look aside from those two stupid achievements it's a great, funny game, I can only recommend it. Would love to see a sequel as the story suggests some kind of continuation, but none exists as far as I know.
You know , like your old-school zombie games !! There's an inexplicable fun in such titles. Its just whole new level of Plants vs Zombies variety , though not a defense game, but vibe and look alike is somewhat similar. All the time spent and my game records being seen here, is what I consumed in One sitting and just one sitting. It gets quite hard to pull yourself together once you jump into it and understand the mechanics.
You really have to have a sonic speed hand-eye coordination once you move to upper levels. Or at one point of time, I end up spamming left-clicks here and there because it got heavily twirling and confusing for me to concentrate. Okay, enough puzzle talking. Simply put, you are a waiter or waitress and you need to serve brain - berries to hungry zombies, who can easily become infuriating , if left untreated. Easier said than done, you will have a hard time catching your breath when a lot of them appears at a time. Just select a zombie or a vampire, assign them to their table, get their buckets, give that bucket to your brother/sister, wait for him to prepare the meal, serve the feast to zombies, let them finish, collect the bill from them, and clean the table to be ready for the next zombie in queue.
One things for sure, having played this game, waiter-ing is not a job I am ever gonna opt for , except for what I partook in this game.
Anyone who's a fan of the Diner Dash series will appreciate this game. I also happen to be a fan of classic monsters so the theme is a plus in my book.
A nice, casual little game in the Diner Dash genre. Cute and clever.
If you like Dinner Dash this is the game for you. I am huge fan of these kind of games even if they are short to play.
I love this game. I bought it years ago and just rediscovered it in my library. I'm playing through it again and it's still super fun.

Fun little “Diner Dash”-like game. It's challenging (at least on the "hard" mode), has cute graphics, a great variety of "customers" and phases, and a lot of humor.
It only has two minor problems in my opinion:
1- The achievements are very time consuming
It is necessary to complete the game several times to get all the achievements, which is pretty frustrating. For example, by completing it once, the maximum number of stars that can be obtained is 150 and the star achievement requires 1,000.
2 - The story ends with a "To be continued..." vibe, but no sequel has been launched.
This leaves a bitter taste of an incomplete story and is totally unnecessary. I would love to play a "Dead Hungry Diner 2", but I think every game should be a complete experience on its own, especially when there is no guarantee a sequel will be made.
Despite that,it’s still a very enjoyable game, and I believe it's worth its price.

É necessário zerar o jogo várias vezes para conseguir todas as conquistas, o que é bem frustrante. Por exemplo, ao zerar uma vez, o máximo de estrelas que se pode conseguir é 150 e a conquista de estrelas exige 1.000.
2- A história termina com clima de "Continua...", mas não existe uma continuação.
Isso deixa uma sensação desconfortável de história incompleta e é totalmente desnecessário. Eu adoraria jogar um "Dead Hungry Diner 2", mas acho que cada jogo deve ser uma experiência completa, principalmente quando não se tem garantia do lançamento de uma sequência.
Apesar disso, o jogo é bem divertido, e acho que vale a pena pelo preço.
Very cute game that goes along the same lines as Diner Dash. If you like time management games, then you will like this one. Colorful graphics, interesting characters, and a good soundtrack make this game stand out.
I really enjoyed this game and go back and play it randomly. Approrpriate for any age. For me it is a great break from it all. I hope to see another Dead Hungry Diner in the near future.
If you realy realy like "diner" games its worth of trying. Not much new tho.
It gets soon borring with same chind of missions all over again.
Simply put = Fun for all the family. Muse away a few hours during some fast paced clicky action, with a cute scary theme.
(Diner Dash) in gameplay, but with monsters and ghouls. Reasonably priced too.
Dead Hungry Diner is a cute game that I'd recomend for people to get used to point and click games.
There is a good plot and the levels are good but there really is only so much you can do when rushing to feed a horde of monsters. Still it was fun to see if I could be fast enough and get to the next level.
Though once you do finish the game you can't seem to go back to the start and then play through again, which I wanted to do to see if I could achieve a better score etc.
Fun and enjoyable so far. Level difficulty increases gradually, so you don't have that horrible "I was doing great last round, but this round I keep dying..." problem. :)
Despite the simplicity of the storyline, and the basic repetitive nature of games like this, I actually do seem to understand the two main characters' viewpoints/life stories, which is always a plus!
I played the demo on a lark and was instantly hooked. This game will honestly challenge you to think about each move you make. You have to establish a rhythm of getting your patrons seated, making sure they are located in the right positions, collecting their money, and keeping the tables clean after they leave.
While that may not seem interesting, it is. Add in the wide variety of spells and different approaches you can take to any of the situations you face and you have one heck of a wild and fun game.
While this game may appear simplistic and aimed at kids, I can guarantee that it is quite a bit more.
Cool take on the diner dash genre. I haven't beat it because there are a ton of levels, but its not bad. Definitely worth $5.
Halloween themed sunday afternoon fun diner dash...sprinkled with creepy customers sounds. It gets a bit repetetive after a while but if you are a "gotta get 3stars on every level" nut like me, you gonna like it. Since full score is not that hard to get ^^
Preety boring game,i didn't like it much and the only reason that i bought it is that it has trading cards...After 2-3 hours you get bored to it's gameplay that it's basicly the same (with some changes).
"Indie, Casual" basically says it all. what also would say it all is "really stupid, not worth actual real money"
Dead Hungry Diner is a casual Restaurant City style game featuring zombies and brain berries rather than the typical restaurant patron. The game includes both quick game and story modes, supports the Steam Overlay and widescreen resolutions and is a very small 73 MB install. The music and graphics are both well done, and while the gameplay is fairly standard fare, the overall presentation is quite good. For a casual game of this nature this is a very good title. This is the perfect budget title for Facebook gamers who enjoy timed puzzle challenges, and for the low price it is offered at, a solid purchase.
