In this game two commands. Alpha Team and Bravo Team. But it does not matter what team you choose, your enemies will always be Russian, and you'll always American.
It is a fun game and it is actually free no in game purchases and no pay to win. Give it a try if you are into playing as a team.
unfortunately i couldn't even play this game. when going to join a server (any server) i get a loading logo and nothing happens for a few minutes then a message of failed connection. i tried everything. i reindstalled twice, tried everything i could find as suggestions on the internet, made fure firewall and antivirus werent blocking the game or supporting files.... nothing helped. so sad, i was hoping to try this game out.
This game is AWESOME!!, I would recommend it's basically a free squad, but slightly more tactical. And is made by americas army which is great
Benefits:
Tactical
Weapon Handling, i.e recoil
Realistic / true to life
Negatives:
Graphics,
Some Playstyles
Ways you die
how many bullets do you take?
Back in the day AA was a great game.
The Gameplay is fun to play and the maps are great. The down side of this game is that the Anti cheat is really weak because the game is old.
So because of all the cheaters i do NOT recommend this game.
All of the things you can get away with in other FPS will absolutely not fly in this game. It has a very smart and loyal playerbase. No futuristic guns or jetpacks here. Also, the squeakers know what the hell they're doing. This game will teach you that communication is key in order to win. You'll be lost but if you ask, someone will teach you the basics.
Great community.
Really love the game, kinda sad that i lost my level when the big update arrived. You could do something about the graphics, make it a bit smoother.
I've played this game off and on since the early 2000's, (is that the way I say it?), and Its a good game. Its free, kind of an aging engine, great gameplay, and realism through the roof. You will get some cocky hardcore military guys in there that love to go all out with the lingo. May not be fun for the casual gamer. Anyways just get it... Its good and free!!!
Good community, apart from some french guy screaming on the mic.
Fun.
Servers are either full russian/german/english
Sort've like Rainbow Six Seige. If you want a fun, free, good time that games like R6S can give. This one is great! Not Pay2Win in fact i dont think there are ANY microtransactions but i could be wrong. Dont download expecting a whitewash call of duty, this is a tactical shooter. Overall, GREAT game.
Welcome to the Army guys! This game is used as a recruitment tool for the U.S Army, I was a little skeptical to try this game since it is a “recruitment tool” and being a Navy veteran myself I know how “Gung Ho” those tools are. Between every match there is a short video explaining different parts of the Army and what they do, that’s where the recruitment ends! Once you start playing there isn’t any advertisements or annoying facts. The game itself is incredibly entertaining, you are split up into different teams (Alpha, and Bravo), There are certain mission types like defuse the C4, ambush VIP, extract classified documents, and several more.
This game is focused in TEAMWORK, if you land in a great team where everyone talks and plans their routes it can be incredibly fun, but if you are in a team where people just rush out without coordinating you will have a frustrating time, this is not a game you can “SOLO”.
Now where this game truly stands out for me is the community, for the most part the people you will meet are polite, helpful, and just fun to play with. Most servers have rules against racism, vulger language, and exploits, those rules are ENFORCED! It all adds up to a great community to play with and once you get into the rhythm the hours will fly on by. I found myself spending hours completing challenges just so I could get a cool looking skin for my M24.
Only drawback for me was that I was hoping for a more diverse selection of weapons but IT IS A FREE GAME, so I cannot complain too much.
9/10
A very well made realistic first person shooter filled with real life weaponry, real life tactics, and exciting battles this game will surely teach you a thing or two about how the army works.
TLDR: The game is infested with hackers. Uninstalling.
I used to play version 2 of this game and even after they added PunkBuster to it, it still was full of hackers. After 10 years I gave this new version a try and they still use PunkBuster. Hackers just block PBScreenShots while running their hacks and don't get kicked or banned for it on official servers. The only chance of you having a remotely hack free experience is by playing the servers that use the ACI on top of PB as these servers actually ban for not producing screen shots and actively administrate their servers.
The game doesn't allow the players to vote kick any player anymore since it's been "abused" in the past. And when you do come across someone blatantly hacking there is nothing you can do, other then trying to teamkill and even then you'll get sent to Leavenworth and be banned from the server for 5 or so minutes. The game literally doesn't give you any means of fighting against it.
For those who'd like to tell me to "git gud" thinking I was probably owned by some very experienced players who know these maps in and out, save your breath. I have just gotten out of a match with a hacker getting kills from across the map with a pistol and running around finding people within the first minute even if I hid in the least expected locations. When he was being flashed and teamkilled once people realized he cheated he'd leave, change his name and come back.
To the people saying this game gives a realistic military experience I'd like to ask when have you seen a sniper be successfully used by the military in close quarter combat to snipe enemies off from behind a corner while standing/crouching? The sniper class is even more OP in this version then it was in version 2. There is not enough aimpoint sway when standing/crouching and you have a hold breath button on top of that making the aimpoint freeze in place while you stand. Doesn't seem realistic to me.
At first when i saw this game i tought ''Meh, nothing interesting, nothing new.'' Boy was i... wrong? You see, this game is nothing revolutionary, but i just can't not like it, i don't know why.
The 3 main reasons i play this game are not what you would expect:
1 - The community. This community is amazing, no exageration. Everybody is nice, people actually talk quite often, i've met and seen about 5-6 cool guys in my 4 hours i played this game the first day i got it.
2 - The viewmodel and crosshair. If you played CS:GO before, you will love them. They just feel and look so good, you don't have your weapon shoved in your face, and the crosshair is nice and clean, excellent.
3 - The gameplay. It's actually pretty good, and fun too, you would expect a low killtime in this game, but that's not the case. You can revive teammates 2 times! And you can heal your 'bleeding' damage with bandages.
The only complaints i have:
-Not many people playing, i sometimes can't find a server close to me with players on it.
-And the fact that i got my first kill after i died like 8 times. In other games i get my first kill first, then my first death, here it was VERY hard to get my first kill, as there is no tutorial shoved in your face when you start the game for the first time, you have to look for it to find it, so yeah, i didn't look for it.
In conclusion, it's a game really worth trying out!
This is the best free FPS game you can experience really nice realistic motions. I've tried so many FPS games and this one is the best one! I'm playing America's Army since 2.0 version and it was like 15 years ago. You will not regret if u try to play. Peace.
i had a shit laptop and i coud run at 20 frames it was nice now i go t new pc and i cant wait to play the game it is really fun and realistic .....its pretty much a war simulator
It's fun in the respect that it's Rainbow 6 Siege only free-to-play, but the fanbase is fucking toxic. Literally all older dudes that think they're hardcore because they play a game based around the Army. They probably think that, if they play well enough, they'll probably get drafted as a SEAL or something. Looking at the 312th with this one.
Great game, uses tactics other that call of Duty or battle field where you just seem to run around a jump all over. You must be precise and understand the weapon recoil. Communication is key as well, if you don't talk to teamates you will lose. I recommend to anyone looking for a challenge. If you don't like this game you have a problem.
Not very realistic if you're expecting anything similar to Insurgency. Basically a F2P COD.
EDIT: So I've found out the community gets extremely toxic the moment you dare insult the game. Not that it was so wonderful with the racist and homophobic voice chat in-game anyway.
Please stay away from this game and it's community. Insurgency (and Red Orchestra 2) is much better and has a far friendlier community. If you're really looking for a F2P non-realistic shooter give Dirty Bomb a chance. It has far more fun mechanics than this nonsense game.
this is a nie game, but pls make a team deathmatch mode too. Its not fun that you have to wait always ot respawn in all the modes. And which unreal engine is used to make this? 1,2,3,4?
