great fun game formega cheap
It is trash, but I like it! Sound FX are way to loud, physics are way to jelly guns have too much recoil, bad voice acting! It is fun!

this game might have its bad sides, but really the graphics are pretty decent and the enviroment destruction it haves(ue 3 features) is pretty good from its time.
now onto the bad sides:
they dont show you the controls, or even let you customize them at all. theres a guide about the controls luckily.
the sensitivity is so high on raw input mouses, you literally cant customize it on the options menu, beacuse theres none! just to invert the mouse! 400dpi for me is the best.
the whole dialogue in this game makes you think it was meant to be a wholeass parody, which for me imo, its fun, but some wont find it funny.
the ai is dumber than a 5year old playing cod for the first time, even on hardest difficulty they dont get smarter, their guns only get increased damage.
the aiming is not accurate, theres alot of bullet spray, but if your lucky you'll hit your shots to the enemy eventually.
the story i would say, meh. if you like it, you like it. you hate it, you hate it.
conclusion: if you got a coupon for this, and like dumb stuff, buy this 101 percent guaranteed.
An old classic. For 99 cents, buy it.
This is the mentally handicapped cousin of Gears of War. The best part of the game was the hilariously bad dialogue, so make sure not to skip over that. The gameplay is your typical GoW clone with chest high walls and edgy dialogue like the player character saying "throwing some shit" when he throws a hand grenade. Had to reset a map after it glitched out right after a checkpoint, but other bugs were more amusing.

It's an old game, the enemy soldiers have dumb AI and the VO is atrocious.
But it's still perfectly playable and kinda fun.

good tpp game
This game doesn't oversell itself... it is a pile of dookie. But you probably know that already going in. I had a steam coupon for 75% off and snagged this game for .34 cents USD. It plays janky, it can be infuriating and hilarious in the same moments. Overall, I say it is worth it for less than a dollar. At the end of the day, I have payed more to play equally trashy arcade shooter games with quarters.
I bought this because it was super cheap, looked nostalgic, and seemed easy to 100% complete for achievements. It turned out to be all those things. Took me about 4.8 hours to finish everything in one run.
I think it is worth a play for achievement hunters and people who want to play some sort of poor graphic version of a stripped down Battlefield that slept with Gears of War and Spec Ops the Line. It is visually boring, and incredibly repetitive for the midsection of the game. I think there's a mission where you get in a car and then it crashes three separate times in a single mission.
Here are a few tips before you dive in:
- Friendly fire is OFF, so don't worry about spraying the hell out of West.
- If you are close enough to an enemy that you are "blind firing," just melee them. They WILL beat you up.
- Stay back from shotgun enemies, they are unforgiving.
- Try to follow the teammate as closely as possible. It's one of those games where they designed it to be played in a very specific way, and if you falter off path, you can easily get lost and never find the objective door.
- There is a fun Silenced variant of the UMP .45 on the mission with the guards in suits. Second floor.
- Save the UMP kill achievement for last, because you will end up using it for the last 4-5 missions of the game. It is the best overall, with high fire rate and great ammo capacity.
- You cannot do much while sprinting. Don't try to melee or swap weapons mid sprint, it won't register.
- If you drop some guns, they will disappear. Like swapping weapons. Especially the rocket launcher.

This is an honest review of my 10 minute experience.
"Global Ops: Commando Libya" is a prime example of how a game can fall short of even the most basic expectations in terms of gameplay, design, and overall experience. Released in 2012 by Spectral Games and published by Immanitas Entertainment, it was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews. The game, ostensibly inspired by classic third-person shooters, failed to deliver on nearly every front, making it a prime example of poorly executed game development.
To start, the gameplay is astonishingly lackluster. The controls are clunky and unresponsive, which significantly hampers the player's ability to perform even simple tasks like aiming and shooting. There's a noticeable delay between actions and their outcomes, which makes the whole experience feel frustrating rather than engaging. The game’s AI is laughable, often standing still or failing to respond to obvious threats, removing any sense of challenge. Instead of tactical combat or engaging gunplay, players are treated to an almost broken system that turns what could have been a thrilling experience into a tedious grind.
The graphics are another weak point, which is almost inexcusable given the standards of 2012. "Global Ops: Commando Libya" looks like a relic from a decade prior, with flat textures, poor lighting, and awkward animations that make characters move in stiff, unrealistic ways. The environments, supposedly set in Libya, are bland and repetitive, giving no sense of immersion or geographical authenticity. Instead of transporting players to a dynamic warzone, the game seems to exist in a world devoid of life and atmosphere.
On top of this, the story and voice acting are painfully generic. Players are thrust into a generic military scenario with a vague plot about nuclear weapons, terrorists, and Libya. The dialogue is riddled with clichés, and the voice acting sounds as if the actors were reading directly off a script with zero emotional investment. The lack of character development or narrative depth makes it hard to care about the missions or their outcomes.
Lastly, the game offers no real innovation or unique features. It appears to be a cookie-cutter military shooter trying to ride the coattails of more successful titles like "Call of Duty" or "Battlefield," but without any of the polish, excitement, or fun that those games provide. In the end, "Global Ops: Commando Libya" is a shallow, frustrating, and forgettable experience—one that is better avoided altogether.
The gameplay is trash, the plot is trash (US bombs Libya and then they are the "good guys"). You can't even customize controls. It's not worth the time and the 99 cents.
