It's not a horrible game, In fact i find it to be a very solid foundation, It's just that at the moment i feel as if it could do more, I asked for a refund but may buy it again in the future provided they add more activities

Great game! Few bugs but it's fun to play! Would love to see another town added one day!

Fun game to begin with, then turns into repetitive scannings and pawn shop placement of said scanned items. Honestly with the amount of items in our world to artifacts/day to day/rare/uniques/legendaries there is not alot here item deversity and just becomes boring. 30 hours played not bad, just end game is consistent ranking and bidding/scanning/placement. Could turn into auto auctions within storage units or deal with stolen items either black market or turn into station for a small reward for return. There are no other game based goals past the houses/vehicles/pawn shops, no reason to keep wanting to play except ocassionally. Heck even deal with robberies at your pawn shop or create losses if you just throwing stuff around like when you stack dryer units on top of pictures or glass, they break or become damaged and value is severly affected.

I've been sucked into this game for hours on my off time. The Discord is very supportive with any questions. There's a decent amount of content as well. excited to play more.

Pros:
For the price, this is a surprisingly solid game with a lot of content and hours of engaging gameplay. After around 13 hours in, I’m still regularly finding new items when I win auctions, which keeps things fresh and prevents the game from feeling too repetitive.

Cons:
As of 23.04.25, there are still quite a few immersion-breaking and sometimes frustrating bugs. Notably, there are times when bidding won't start after the storage door opens, and item placement—especially when loading vehicles—can get buggy or just behave strangely. Also, the driving mechanics, which play a big role in the game, feel clunky and not very satisfying.

Overall:
A fun and addictive game with great potential. Hoping to see future updates that fix the bugs, improve optimization, and refine the driving. Definitely worth picking up, especially on sale.

Having watching storage wars on TV, this was right up my street. Whilst the game play and variety is a little lacking, the game gave me 65 hours of enjoyment!

YOU STILL HAVENT FIXED MY ISSUE! My computer crashes anytime I try to play this game. Then it gets stuck in an endless cycle of preparing automatic repair. The only time my computer crashes is when launching you game.. I want my money back and my pc repaired. It wont even turn back on.

I love and hate how addicting this game is for me. I get to scratch my gambling itch and cuss out the other bidders without hurting anyone's feelings. 10/10 recommend

Actually really love this game. Usually listen to podcasts at the same time or music on the side. It's super chill and gives you dopamine hits left and right!

Job / life sims are ten a penny these days, aren't they? They use similar gameplay loops, are often grindy, often have rabid Steam User suggestions but little dev feedback, and you can overfeast on the same type of thing thing in a different guise pretty easily.

I will tell you why this is one of the very best in the genre, in my opinion. But, beware - if you are not into Storage Wars / auctioning type of thing then your mileage may vary...

As a job sim, it has a very nice and satisfying series of loops: go to auction. win auction, pack your stuff up, clean it and verify its value, sell it at a store (or buy your own store to sell it at.) You drive around and find different auctions, different sales spots and earn kudos in each area. This allows you to buy and decorate new bases (homes) which you can decorate with the stuff you win when you are rich enough not to have to sell everything you find, which is super-nice.

Of course, there are progression barriers in your way at first; you need to take this special item to a shop to verify its value, you need to visit a locksmith to unlock this secret box....and so on. And then over time you can earn the tools to do this yourself, more quickly, and even polish up those items to a better quality to earn more from the resale. You need to refuel your vehicle and maybe upgrade it at times to manage bigger payloads and visit more auctions per day. And all these are utterly absorbing and become extremely more-ish!

Other games do this too, but the stand-out differences are that - although jank is often not an unwelcome thing in this type of game if the right type - it's virtually non-existent in this one, and that the dev / CM support is absolutely top drawer. As this game closes out to it's 1.0 this year (planned) it is roadmapped for specific new features, one of which just dropped as I write, and did not disappoint. Although Early Access right now, this game is 100% ready for you to play and enjoy.

As well as everything I mentioned, there are additional details that just help keep the main loops fresh: collectors want certain items that you would otherwise sell and will reward you for prioritising them, there are (literal) easter egg hunts, and as mentioned you can buy and decorate the several homes you can buy, and this last feature works in an extremely satisfying manner - almost like it's from a completely different game.

I think some players could see this game in a completely different light to me, maybe just see it as another one of those widely-spammed janky job games, but in my experience this is exactly how you do a job sim and make it an enjoyable game to play, and play a lot.

Much respect, well made, well supported and well done.

Fun game. Not many open world "simulator" games. Really the only reason I can not recommend at the moment is its atrocious performance. Game is running all over the place. 50-55 fps then a while after play it will jump around the 80s-90s then 120s maybe then 144 then back down to 100. Something is going on with the game. Running in 4k TSR. This is not demanding game and should be running better. 4080 Super, 9800x3d, 64 gig (Edit: Dropped resolution down to 1440, fps went up as it should, then switched back to 4k and fps was back in the 100's).

Other issues that need a look at:

The driving is OK. Says I am going 60 but feels more like 25-30. Vehicles need to go a little faster to match the displayed MPH. Steering is fine though.

Need the ability to change the price from the laptop instead of having to take item off shelf and re-list it.

Haggling needs some tweaks. The arrow is to fast and seems a little delayed between when I click "haggle" and when the arrow stops. So either needs to be slowed down or input needs to be fixed.

The "park here" spot doesn't even work. Just puts items on the outside of the truck.

I bought for $15 and definitely worth a buy. I can say that the $25 is worth it if you are into these types of games. Definitely need more "open world" sim games. I think this is the 2nd (edit: 3rd. Forgot about the Farm sim series) one I have found and need more of them.

I can't even quantify exactly why, but I enjoyed this game so much and I never expected I would like it at all.

Something about the core gameplay loop is oddly satisfying right from the start, winning auctions, identifying and fixing up everything you find, stacking it all in your truck with a giant F U to the laws of physics, and (fairly early in the game) taking it back to your very own pawn shop to sell for a huge markup is somehow very entertaining.

Then you start unlocking higher tier auctions with better quality items, bigger pawn shops grow your empire, houses to buy which you can decorate with all your unique and interesting items (or simply rip out all the furniture and sell for profit), blind auctions where you bid on whatever might be in a cardboard box, and bigger better trucks to continue defying physics in. You can even turn on "hard" mode, which basically adds the risk of the AI bidders trying to bait you into paying exorbitant amounts for a locker, but you can easily spot it and walk away, because there is always another auction just around the corner.

Adding to this, the roster of items in the game is truly staggering, even after my full ~50hr playthrough, winning hundreds of auctions, buying every pawn shop, house and truck currently in game with a fully decorated and decked out mansion, there were still auctions at the end where I was finding items I hadn't seen before. And new items are constantly being added, as the game is still in early access and there are regular updates both small and large.

So if you think there's anything at all in this game that might appeal to you, I strongly recommend you give it a go. It's more fun than it might otherwise seem.

- 26 hrs until I hit a desired end point for myself.
- The game technically has no end or I guess you can complete all the achievements but that’s not how I play games.
- Overall, this game was very fun! It's not a perfect game by any means but for what it is, I found it to be very satisfying and a great way to relax and pass some time.
- The gist of the game is winning auctions, identifying your findings, stacking them in your vehicle which was oddly satisfying and hilarious, and selling your items for profit.
- The game doesn't take itself too seriously and some of the storage units you win you will find yourself asking what the hell happened here.
- If you ever watched the show Storage Wars, which I enjoyed watching a bit back in the day, then this is basically the video game version.
- Don’t come here hoping for a complex strategy game, it's more of a light hearted activity to pass the time and find funny items to sell.
- The game wants to motivate its players by stating that you're building an empire, however without any dialogue or rival auction hunters (you are bidding against other people but they do not interact with you outside of auctions) you're really just competing against yourself. I found my favorite way to play this game was to set my own goals and try to hit them.
- Although I am fairly new to simulation games, I felt this one has enough progressions and goals that it kept me busy for over 20 hours and was totally worth the money. If you are at all curious about an auction simulation game I would definitely try this one.
- One of the negatives is that most of the women in the game appear as though they were dressed by a male game designer, nothing scandalous but it stood out to me.

Works great on Steamdeck! Was initially worried looking at reviews but took the chance and im glad i did. Has not crashed once, shows Steamdeck icons for almost everything and overall is very enjoyable to play!

Really good game, just read the tutorials especially when opening your own pawn shop, it can be really difficult to find out how to manage it)

I completed all the quests in 36 hours.
Now is the best time for my review.

After 4 hours of you game play, you feel like.
1. Why am I doing this?
2. What the hell is wrong with the tools?
3. Seriously, you want me to pay rent for my own house?"
Kind of bored; want to do the same thing again and again.
Wait for a Steam Offer. for now it's not worth the money.

Good game, has some bugs with the stacking of items but otherwise it's a good, relaxing game.

Obviously this game is still in development at the time of writing, and it is definitely fun to work your way up to being involved in auctions for more valuable stuff to sell, so I can't fault it for that at all, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Somethings that really need to be worked on are the following however...

- Random "Fatal Error Crashes" that completely ruin the day of work that you've done.
- The physics when loading your truck. I get that things fall off when they aren't balanced, that makes perfect sense. What I don't understand is the sudden pinging and launching of stuff around and off your truck when it things there is too much loaded, even if there is clearly space. It's just so damn annoying especially when you're on the clock to do as many auctions as possible in a day when you're having to find where everything has flown off to because your truck randomly decides "fuck it".
- Difficulties. There should really be three difficulty settings because the basic difficulty says it's "low risk, low reward". There is absolutely no risk at all because no matter what auction you win, it'll make a profit for you, especially once you've unlocked all the tools to scan and repair stuff. Yet the more challenging difficulty you can easily end up without enough for even the most basic of auctions and have to rely on loans, rinse and repeat, until nothing left, and wasted your time. Adding a middle ground would really be an improvement.

Again, the game is still in development and the devs have continued to work on it so I'm confident they'll work on this stuff in the mean time whilst they continue to add more items into the game. Hopefully they will add new areas to go to and attend auctions as well, as just three main ones and the one blind auction get quite dull after a while.

It’s fun, very cheesy, kinda sluggish! Needs more though, feels super empty at times. Not enough variety, clothes ,cars are only a few options, the stuff you can pick is the same stuff just different ratiety. Great discount game

Does what it says on the tin! It's an easy and casual game with a hefty grind attached. In short, you can get 40 hours of this game easily and finish out the base game "quest" before running out of content. That will extend a bit more if you want to chase down the items needed for collector trophies. It's a great game, even if won't be banging on the door for any awards. You get what you pay for and what they market. If you don't want that, don't buy it expecting it to change.

I often play sim games like this for the ability to 100% them. Their often casual nature makes for a more fun grind as I put on videos or something in the background and just relax. SHS unfortunately has a lack of additional content and with such a short day/night cycle it will not be terribly entertaining on the way to 100%. Which is what the rest of this review will be about.

The game loop is VERY short and VERY random. This leads to repetitive but unpredictable gameplay. While this helps keep sheer boredom at bay, it makes optimizing for the long-run almost impossible. However, the player power graph always points upwards. Even on hard difficulty, you'd have to play fairly irresponsibly to actually lose the game--though it is certainly possible.

At 38 hours, I've won around 200 auctions so far and lost probably 50-75 along the way. The NPCs are currently unlimited in both their bank accounts and their bid limits so sometimes you are simply going to have to cut your losses and give up a locker or get "penalized" for overpaying.

Even with the best truck (which is an argument all its own as none of them are great at everything--speed vs. cargo), chasing down the 100% achievement ribbon for this one will be a long haul and an extraordinarily tedious grind fest.

While it shouldn't take 40 hours for each additional 200 auction wins, it won't be much faster than that. So you're looking at a minimum of 150 hours of sheer grinding to get to 1,000 needed wins. And that's before the hundreds of necessary additional blind auctions--and the upcoming collection of highly specific and random items needed to give to in-game "collectors."

If you get 100% on this one, you will have earned it.

For better or worse, SHS will take a hefty chunk of real-life time to complete. At the time of this review, they are about to add at least one more pack for the 2025 Easter holiday. With that they will introduce an entire additional set of achievements on top of the base game. These will also be the first achievements to include collector quests, a far more involved process than just winning and selling.

As they move to extend gameplay (and presumably release paid DLC in the future) I'd expect that kind of model to continue into the future with multiple bites at the 100% apple being necessary before development ends on SHS.

Anyway, if you want 100% be ready for the grind. I was planning on trying for it, but I don't think I will devote that kind of time which will easily rival 1-2 playthroughs of a fully fleshed out RPG for example. But that's just me.

I love playing bad budget unity flip games, but honestly this really isn't that at all. It's very good and regularly releases content. Had a lot of fun and had to stay pretty locked in most of the days. Having a lot of replay value is also a nice bonus.

This game is super boring and I like it. I sold a body for $2.

The best bones of a small simulator game that I have seen in a long time. Early game is fun, mid-game is fun. Needs more items to diversify each storage locker. Hopefully there will be thousands of items at some point. Pricing for houses and businesses is way off right now making it easy to get a huge truck and mansion for dirt cheap. Balance those things out and maybe add some more vehicles to use to haul. ez buy

This game is not what I Expected. I thought you would just be selling items obtained by these storage but the game goes deeper than i thought. The higher in tier you go the more expensive the auction but the more chances of you making profit. Also different tiers unlock certain stores for you to buy and homes/vehicles.I really like this game and I have been playing it non stop for my spring break in college. I highly recommend if you like simulator games. I hope for more updates to come out with content, i will be waiting.

Feedback: Although the game runs smooth, i am encountering bugs such like getting stuck in the auction screen before pressing "Space" to continue. As well another bug I am seeing is the area of chest trying to be unlocked by the locksmith. For instance, I drive up to the store and usually if you are near the store it will allow you to select a chest that needs to be open but sometimes it doesnt show the chest when given the choice until I have to move the truck a little bit.

good game but the bundle said 14 pound something but took 24 pound so be carefull as seems to be taking alot more than what it says also thegame gets super tedious just doing the same thing over and over again. it needs more stuff not to mention thier isnt any point upgrading the quaility tool as the more you do it the longer things take to be able to see which is stupid. perfect legendary item will take around 70 hours but even an uncommon item will take 15 because its perfect its stupid and its going to make people stop playing the game. the storage is also getting backed up because of the retarded wait time to sell things which is a shame as very good game spoiled by stupid stuff so im going to say no now due to the tedious and stupid wait times of the items

More storage locations, more vehicles, more items and ability to tell your employees to list 10-25-50% over market price. Great game thats the only things i can see that would improve the game

This is just a fun, relaxing sim game. If you're into Storage Wars or American Pickers, you'll enjoy this one.

I like it, wish I could keep some items for my house. Would love to decorate my houses with the items I get from storage instead of simply sell them back.

I really like this game, it's fun and keeps me entertained. I always liked watching the storage hunter shows so it was likely for me to be interested in this game. Something that annoys me is when the game glitches and my item disappears in the truck where I can't see it, etc.

However I do wish there was something where you could see the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) above the little circle map when you are directing to an auction, a shop, etc. I think it would be a nice update because then you could see how long it would take you to get there and if you'd make it in time; ex. trying to get to a shop before 9 pm or to an auction you signed up before it ended.

I recommend playing this game and I hope whoever is reading this enjoys it too. :)

Absolutely the best 15 dollars I have spent in a long time. An absolutely wonderful game! I am excited every time I win a new unit. A new item pops up almost every unit and I have played almost 100 hours! Being able to decorate my home is fun and creative. There are a couple small bugs and time definitely is the main factor in the game. But the game team is constantly doing upgrades and fixes as needed. Would be nice to have more statistics on sales. There is a "dark room" in the house in West Black Elk that is unusable. Would like to be able to interact with home furnishings, play a radio, sit on a couch and maybe some outdoor abilities to interact at the house. Keep adding the items! Maybe a clock management option. Overall the game is awesome! Not sure about replayability but I have enjoyed it so far.

I know it is early access, but the FPS drops significantly all of a sudden. also I cannot select to put things back into the storage once in shop sometime. Loading the game after the save makes the auctions finish even if the clock is still 10 AM.

Ever watched storage wars and thought i could do that? hate physics in games and just want to pile 3 tables, a wardrobe and a home gym on the back of what is basically a tuktuk? if yes then this is the game for you

altogether this is a great game. can be difficult and addictive. i did encounter a bug ingame which i thought was game over for me but thanks to a comment on the review, it was a super easy fix and now i can get back to playing this fab game. thank you so much ^^

Despite all the reviews I decided to give this game and holy shit they weren't fucking lying! One of the worst games when it comes to how it performs! First time I boot it up the game crashes for no reason then as I'm driving around town going to different actions the game lags for no reason. Do not recommend the game in the state it is now but wouldn't mind giving the game a try at a later date as the gameplay isn't bad itself.

this game is fun when you get it on a discount but don't play hard mode, the ai are likely to just overbid every time which makes it "hard" but it is not actually a challenge

the game's enjoyable at first but after completing most the main quests I'm finding the end-game content to be lacking. If the game has a deep discount maybe give it a shot but at full price I'd say its a tough sell for me.

Considering a big chunk of the game is interacting with objects and stacking them into your van, the physics are really poor. Every item is weightless and collisions are a complete mess, often everything flying off into the distance. Whilst funny at first, it gets tedious when your perfectly constructed tower blows up because two random items touched in a way the physics engine didn't like.

There's only a limited item pool and after your first few legendaries it feels like there's nothing cool or unique to find. Also, after you upgrade the repair tool a couple of times it becomes practically impossible to lose money on the regular containers.

The game also wants you to level up in different areas but the rewards system is counter-intuitive as the more you level up in a certain area you have more incentive to stay there as higher tier auctions unlock. The workaround to this is to take part in lower tier auctions which feels like a step back in your progress . Alternatively you could drive the stuff you get and sell it at that area's pawn shop but with the driving in this game been really poor I wanted to spend as short amount of time in my vehicle as possible.

This game is fun but i felt like I was driving more than actual storage hunting. I would drive to one auction and then have to wait/kill time to the next auction.

I presently have 54 hours in and 80% completion via achievements. While the game has direction and points of progress i will say it is slow going and some of the achievements are kind of out of reach. by the time i got through the level 50 in all 3 cities progress point i am at 177 auctions won of the 1000 auctions won for the achievement. this is the case for quite a few of them. At this point i personally wont sit and grind the same thing over and over again.

If your not a stickler for achievements however this game is a good time passer and is a nice change of pace if this isn't the style of game you are used to paying. Until the game gets to be nearing the end of completion I believe this game will keep you hooked at least for a little while.

I really wanted to enjoy this game, but after quite a bit of frustration, I had no choice but to refund it. The biggest issue? The performance is downright terrible. Sluggish responsiveness make even basic movement feel clunky. And if you’re thinking about driving—don’t. The vehicle handling is easily one of the worst I’ve ever experienced in a game. It’s too pointy, kart-like, and feels more like you’re piloting a soap bar on ice than an actual vehicle.

On top of that, the camera controls are frustrating, making simple navigation more of a struggle than it should be. The days in the game also pass way too quickly, leaving you with a constant feeling of being rushed rather than immersed. And if you’re playing on a controller, prepare for even more disappointment—inputs feel sluggish and imprecise, making an already rough experience even worse.

If you can somehow overlook all these issues, maybe—just maybe—there’s a good game buried underneath. But for me, the frustration far outweighed any enjoyment, and I ultimately had to pawn off the game.

By far one of the better simulator games out there period. The devs are constantly dropping new items in between bigger updates. They are super transparent with their roadmap in EA, and take a lot of community feedback to heart. All and all it's worth the price and you'll be storage hunting for hours! With multiplayer coming, this game has potential to be even more fun than it already is!
