Описание
The Last Stand: Aftermath — это новейшая игра от опытных разработчиков Con Artist Games, создателей серии The Last Stand.

Very nice return to old Flash games I used to play. Definitely nostalgic feeling.
One thing this game pushes you to do is let go of unnecessary stuff. You do not need 20 bandages even on harder difficulties. If you find a weapon that is better for a specific caliber then let go of older one. It is very difficult to dodge attacks from elite enemies when your weight is in red.
Throwables take up a lot of weight but the components that are needed to make them do not. so do not craft everything at once.
I would recommend for the setting.
Me personally, i don't like the dying aspect and playing different survivors, i like to have my own character but i can enjoy the ideia behind it.
Gameplay can sometimes be way to unforgiving....im talking about a 2hr+ run, just for you to get inside a warehouse and get two tapped by a charger, not fun, quite annoying but, maybe thats the point? Still annoying nonetheless
Very fun, not your regular survival zombie games, its a very unique game and never played anything like it. Takes a moment to get used to the game itself but once you understand it, it is very fun.
Just one more run, just one more volunteer to sacrifice for my amusement. Just not checking the amount of hours I've played, I can confidently say I enjoy it. Bits and pieces taken from The Last of Us blend surprisingly well into the whole dying, and starting again element. Each new run feels like a chance to try a new load out. I appreciate the variety of weapons, both crafted and found throughout the variety of randomly generated levels always ready to keep you on your toes. And dare I say, the stealth mechanics in this game blend just as effortlessly as it does mowing down zombies with an LMG. Looking forward to playing this more in the future, on a better PC. Here's to another couple of dozen volunteers sacrificed for the sake of survival.
great !
Good game. A few bugs here and there, but nothing that made the game unplayable.
The penultimate in 'The Last Stand' zombie series.
Gun-play and melee combat are fun and balanced, weapon variety is extensive and successfully adds to player immersion. The upgrade mechanics are interesting and greatly impact the length of each 'volunteers' lifespan; it really does feel rewarding to go from dying after 2 or 3 locations each 'volunteer' to blasting through the HERC Blockade into the Dead Zone and beyond in one life, taking hundreds of zombies with you before your inevitable death.
The supply depot/armory features, as well as the knowledge skill-tree mechanics, add to the sense of progression and aid in making you feel like you're accomplishing something amidst dozens of dead playable characters that you endlessly shuffle through.
This game is novel, exciting, and filled with challenging scenarios that make you consistently strategize your next moves. I will be binging this for the foreseeable future to scratch my zombie 'itch'.
8/10
From the studio that brought you your childhood Flash enjoyment of the zombie game-genre, this is their first venture into what many might consider the big boy game league. An enjoyable entry into the the Last Stand series, which makes me hopeful for more.
Overall enjoyable, the only mechanics that really stand out are the mutation based health system and crafting system. The game loop is amazing and really gets you playing after the first 2 or 3 lives when you get a hang for the aiming and melee.
I bought this game on release but I was never able to play it because my laptop was crap until now
Anyway, the game is good, I like the way it also deviated from the first two flash games by becoming a rogue-like. (RIP Deadzone you will be missed qwq)
It's a wonderful sequel but there there's a some things that it lacks which really makes me wish I could give neutral reviews instead
Some of the things I found lacking are:
Gun variety (I like the addition of makeshift weapons but not adding the bow or crossbow was a missed opportunity. The devs probably thought they would become an op infinite ammo weapon but you can also add durability to the arrows you shoot)
Zombie variety (The zombies unique to the previous zone no longer shows up in the next :/) (And I wonder if zombie dogs were removed because lots of people found them annoying which is understandable but is genuinely a missed opportunity)
Simplistic plot (Yes, I know that a simple plot doesn't necessarily mean something is bad but the villain could have been more interesting or cunning. Perhaps he would "accidentally" lead you to an ambush like one of the final scripted events but much earlier on. It's also a bit disappointing that the big man doesn't do much in the story aside from telling you congratulations)
Hardships and its rewards (Once you get all the upgrades, the hard mode modifiers are genuinely no big deal except for zombie agility and damage modifiers. It's still too easy despite these modifiers. I won't even bother suggesting how they could make hard mode genuinely harder because this game wont receive any updates anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And the rewards... they're lackluster. The first three rewards are lackluster but at least the battle axe exists for nostalgia points. The final reward is good but after that, what will you use your items on once you've 100% the game? You can't even start off with them to have a power trip for fun so what's the point?)
All in all, the game has its ups and downs but I still liked it. If there was a DLC, I'd definitely buy it (if they improve upon the criticisms given through the years, of course)
This is a great game highkey i just wanna lick the face of people who made this.
At first I wasnt sure about the game, I loved the originals especially Union City. After playing more into the game I get what they were trying to do and I love it. I do feel the combat can be a bit clunky at times but other than that this games been a blast.
really enjoyed this game. played on steam deck.
.
A fun rogue-like game with post-apocalypse zombie as its main theme. The grind is fairly difficult at first but the game snowballs. Once you bought the correct perks (slow down infection, increased XP and resource find), the runs get much easier.
forsen
I really liked this game when I started playing. I liked the rogue-like aspect, I liked the balance of speed and looting, I liked the gunplay and melee combat. However, the more I play the more I see the flaws. There's soooo many bugs.
- Throwing stuff is really broken.
- Medkits aren't sped up by Rapid Aid.
- Painkillers arent affected by boosted healing mutation
- Some fences are unclimbable
- and many more!
But it's not just the bugs. Theres a lot of really weird design choices
- Even without knowledge perks, weapons feel like they do good damage. However, once you hit the 4th region, suddenly the enemies are ridiculously tanky. Its not them being tanky necessarily, its the sudden jump.
- The doors in the lab keep switching on and off. It's really infuriating.
- I started finding a ridiculous amount of loot to the point where I was throwing away several hundred pounds of loot each run
- The narrative...exists
- You can hide in some dumpsters but they're basically useless
- There's a mutator option for enemies to have more health, but not one for more zombies (which would be WAAAY cooler)
Honestly, I get the feeling the devs didn't do much user research; a lot of this stuff seems like an easy catch.
There's a lot of cool ideas here, and I think this game has potential. However, that potential still feels very raw. If the developers were to polish the game more I think it could definitely be worth it's price point. As it is though? 15 bucks max.
Not much to say here other than good game. if you liked Union city or like rougelikes, you might like this... but if you liked union city AND like rougelikes, you WILL love this game!
Willing to support any old school flash game dev's work, but I have too many problems with this game to recommend it. Main issues:
• Stealth mechanics feel very weak and maybe broken. Even if you are crouching, most zombies will still be able to spot you if you get in their line of sight regardless of the amount of noise you are making. There are shrubs which give you a hidden status if you enter them, but zombies will still attack you if you have been aggroed so they are mostly useless. Non-lethal throwables are also finicky (see below) and offer little utility. Zombies move too slow when not aggro'd for sound throwables to be useful in moving hordes and, when they get to where you want them to go, in all likelihood they will turn around and just detect you anyway.
• Game recommends a controller, but the controls for it are somewhat strange. Using a throwable requires moving the right thumbstick to aim a target reticle and then pulling right trigger (your shoot button). You have a very short window of time to do this after you stop moving the right thumbstick, so you often have to activate the game's temporary 'focus' (which slows things down) mode just to throw things. Meanwhile, using an antiviral injection, of which you can only hold one at a time, is mapped to its own dedicated button. Why isnt it just an option for quick items? You cant perform melee executions if you have a consumable equipped because they both require using the right trigger. This makes no sense and could be if you could rebind the controller but YOU CAN ONLY REBIND KEYS FOR KEYBOARD. The controller is also CONSTANTLY rumbling for literally everything you do. I think the game rumbles when you are near a large amount of zombies, but its actually hard to tell because its happening constantly.
• The game has a single static camera angle from an isometric perspective with multiple levels of verticality. This makes it really hard to tell what you are doing sometimes if you are behind a wall and a zombie is up on some stairs or vice versa. Multiple times Ive noticed its possible to dodge roll or even just melee attack your way into no clipping out of buildings because of the way the game does height. It doesnt help that all weapons in the game have durability or ammunition so every missed shot counts.
• Maybe Im not used to playing games on a controller, but a lot of the movement and aiming (with guns) feels stiff to me. If I shoot twice at the exact same trajectory with a target running straight at me, Ill have a 50% accuracy rate.
If you can get past these issues, the game can be pretty fun. The entire mutation mechanic is neat and you can tell some thought went into the game. The underwhelming stealth mechanics and items the game gives you are probably the main thing that kills it for me.
Maybe get it if its on sale.
This game was fun at first. The biggest problem is it's broken, at least for me. There's a bridge stage you have to play where you have to go down a staircase then go back up one, and for some reason the game won't let me go up the stairs. I watched playthroughs of others doing so and am doing exactly what they did, but it's not working. It's pretty frustrating and annoying since the rest of the game was pretty fun and I've sunk over 20 hours into this game. So others beware if you're thinking of getting this game, you might end up getting stuck.
The game is broken. stuck on loading screen. Verified the integrity of files, ran as admin, tried launch codes, browsed the internet and tried almost every tip i could find. No luck.
Very unfortunate because this game looks really good... Unfortunately, might sadly have to opt for the refund. If anyone knows of a solution and could share, would be much appreciated.
its a nice, mid paced rogue lite.
its a slower pace that emphasizes thinking and strategy over brute force.
it definitely has its moments where it picks up though and a couple of seconds can make or break a run.
ultimately it has that same feel that the old last stand games used to have, where you feel like you have to prioritize progress or loot, since doing both will cause you to run out of time.
black screen no fix >:(((
The Last Stand: Aftermath is an absolute gem for survival fans! The gameplay is addictive, with a perfect balance of tension, exploration, and strategy. The post-apocalyptic world feels alive, filled with challenges that keep you on edge. Crafting, looting, and managing resources create a rewarding loop, while the rogue-lite elements add replayability.
Visually, the gritty art style suits the bleak atmosphere perfectly. The story is gripping, with emotional weight that makes every decision impactful. It’s challenging but fair, ensuring every success feels earned.
At its price, this game is a steal. Highly recommended for anyone who loves survival and action games!
The game does have some glitches here and there, such as zombies hurdling themselves over an obstacle and as a result there textures seem to contort. Nothing game breaking though!
CON ARTIST GAMES! BRING BACK THE LAST STAND: DEADZONE ON STEAM AND MY LIFE IS YOURSSSSSS!
9/10 a good rogue-like game and a solid addition to the Last Stand series. I look forward for more entries on the series!
I'm reviewing negative for the single fact that someone on the dev team thought it was a great idea to have an automated turret with a range further than what you can possibly see on the map so you just die before you even know it's there. Actually an insanely horrible design
Solid core gameplay with fun ideas and a good eye for balance and progression.
I'm Sean Prime and I approve of this game!
Amazing game. Not only as a sequel to last stand flash games we all played in 2000ths, but as a solid standalone roguelike shooter. I wish there would be more games like this
Great zombie game
gud gam
I was addicted to The Last Stand series of games back when they were on Flash. This is such a great call-back to those. Expect to die a lot at first.
Great game!!! Super addictive!
it is a fun little game. good for passing time.
I like Roguelite games but I hate it when the games like this rushes you to hurry up by using a infection meter as you're timer. if you waist too much time then you die.
9.5/10
Quite a fun roguelike once you can understand its mechanics.
Pretty fun, has not had content or any other kinds of update since 2022 and the news tab on the steam page says nothing about any other plans. The game does have a pretty lengthy "story" and a decent amount of progression.
It is a good game, but i would recommend getting it on sale.
A stain to the series.
Pro (?):
- The name
Okay:
- Okay gameplay
- Okay ambient
- Okay gun sound
Bad:
- Gameplay loop is too punishing, lots of my death are due to stupid accident rather than "not strong enough"
- After each death, you have to start from the start, artificially increasing the difficulty for no reason
- Lack of story. The series isn't strong in story, but this one give you a huge premise that lead no where, it would be much better if they stick to the basic story instead of this underwhelm conspiracy
Highly Recommend.
Adds Unique Mechanics to a zombie roguelite, where the infection progresses and as it does it enhances your abilities each time but if it hits the max you die. Which is original aspect to the infection mechanic where you get perks and theres cons.
The weapons are vast and the environments are both eerie grotesque, but beautiful with the graphics shown.
theres times i have fun mowing down zombies like john wick, but then also sneaking around to scavenge for loot.
This is one of my ALL time favorite zombie games.
Recommending this one...with an Asterisk. It's buggy. 'Oh, there's a shop in the next map!' 1/10 times, there isn't. And the plateaus are annoying. Zombie on high, but you have LoS? You have to bring them to the same plain as you to hit them, on occasion. Oh, and lobby explosives needs work. I'm at the end of the game (no spoilers) and I toss an explosive. It goes into orbit, and isn't seen again...until it's magically in front of me and bomb end of run. Get it on sale. A fun weekend run.
A decent, atmospheric survival game for what it costs. And unlike other zombie survival games, makes guns just as viable as melee weapons. A unique perspective also that you're playing as an infected person, who is destined to die no matter what you do.
Combat is a bit janky outside of flat terrain, and I still don't like that there's no mode to start with no infection at all, but overall, its very Last Stand like the old Flash games.
actual great rougelike, it does the old flash games justice. it can be all or nothing in a single run so be prepared to rage.
Its fun but the end of the campaign has a really BS boss fight that has frankly made me not want to play again. I still think it's worth it but that segment is really Fking annoying not gonna lie so if you're the kind of person that can't handle unfair feeling boss fights then take that into consideration.
A good game if you're willing to put up with some jank. Still fun tho.
Very enjoyable.
Some areas you can get stuck(a lot more in the water areas) & walking up stairs is wonky, please fix!
It's so smple, yet so complicated that it's entertaining. I'll play this game fir a while lmao, plainning on 100% it
It's nothing like Dead Zone. They're trying to sell you on the nostalgia for Dead Zone but this is soooooooooooooooo much worse.
Would give a mixed recommendation if I could. Decent enough for $10, wouldn't pay a cent more than that. Plays like a more serious-toned Death Road to Canada. Unity Store asset flip aesthetic. Poor UI text, bad grammar and incomplete sentences everywhere. Weird design decisions, like re-introducing quest objectives later as run-killing traps with no indication that they are now bad. Weight system makes absolutely no sense. Janky BamHam melee combat that can get you killed by focusing on dead bodies instead of enemies actually hitting you. Terrain generation is awful. Some impassable-looking terrain can be crossed over no problem, certain waist-high fences can be mantled, some can't. Plenty of random ditches to fall into that you can't get out of with no unstuck feature. Shooting is only directly ahead of your character, so anyone on a gentle incline is immune to bullets. Will give you compass directions to find quest objectives with no indication of north. Really, was having a bit of fun despite all this until the gas can I needed to progress was completely unable to be interacted with because it spawned halfway inside of a gentle slope. Then proceeded to get stuck, and the only option is to quit to menu and start the map over. Quit to menu and uninstalled instead.
