Great game, brings a lot of memories.
Fantastic game. I spent hours playing the free demo on the xbox 360 years ago.
The game is great, but if there was multiplayer I would play it every day!
The game so good that I bought it again even though I have the CD version. I'd suck for remaster or Mad Tracks 2.

Teaboy's Basic(ish) Reviews....I read a lot of reviews when looking at games on Steam, and it quickly gets tiring – those who write involved, down to the micron scale reviews, although helpful, end up like looking at War & Peace when you’ve only got time for a quick 5 minute dump! This is middle of the road and to the point – not easy for me as I tend towards sesquipedalian loquaciousness! Vociferously Verbose? Alright, verbal diarrhoea. (Although I hate panning a developer’s work and all the time, effort and love they put into designing these – it is their life after all – this is my honest, personal opinion of my level of enjoyment. Sorry devs!).
A note on time played: My Steam clock does not seem to work properly, indeed, it even minuses time on occasion! Plus, I have a tendency to wander off and leave games running at times, so time played may not be entirely accurate!
Teaboy’s Tonsil Titillators or Toenail Titbits! (Rating)
Tonsil Tickler (Totally Tops): The frenchy of which you always dreamt! To quote a master, “She’s got a tongue like an electric eel and she likes the taste of a Man’s tonsils!”. An absolute masterpiece and joy to play.
The Tits (Terrific): Everyone loves playing with these! Not THE best bit, but such fun on their own you can be lost for hours....mmmm. What most games you really like score – perfection is so rare after all.
Torso Teaser (Taker of your Time): It’s a flat stomach....sure it’s nice to look at, run your fingers over, slobber on a bit, sometimes that bellybutton gets your motor running....but it's just basically the corridor between the two ‘gaming rooms’. The definitive ‘Meh’ - the middle ‘sideways thumb’ option for which everyone on Steam cries.
Todger/Tadger & (scroTum) Taters (Tedious): Is it an ‘a’ or is it an ‘o’? Who cares! The meat can be fun to play with for about 5 minutes of your entire day, the rest it just hangs there and generally gets in the way of doing something else. The main problem of course, is the two veg sticking to your inside thigh. This is what this game feels like – the occasional/rare bouts of fun, the rest bobbing like a 19th century British Policeman (now you know why!).
Toenail Tornado (Total Toss): A playthrough so appalling it’s like being trapped in a Turkish sauna with the ugliest, hairiest, fattest, sweatiest beast of a neolithic hominid who’s trimming his toenails using pliers and the splinters are reminiscent of a scene from the Normandy Landings. My god how did this get released!?

The Review: Todger Teaser
A mixed review due to a mixed enjoyment. It is a '5 minute play' style game, at least for me. I tried completing the map (all racecourses) in one playthrough but 3 were locked with nothing telling me what I needed to access them (that I could see - the icons were minuscule).
Small game, VERY basic, as in start/stop/fire weapon. That's your lot. Camera (view) options are a bit naff but not terrible. Control of vehicle is fair, but you get one car per flag you drive under and only four flags. I'm a Brit, so I just did them all under that flag. So pretty much zero vehicle choice.
It's a small game for a small price - I don't even remember getting it anymore and I don't go for racing games so most likely a bundle. If you like micromachines type stuff, then this will tickle your fancy....for about 5 minutes.
I fancied a change of pace for a bit so flicked through my (getting stupidly large) library and thought I'd give this a go. It is fine for what it is - can't mark it down for doing what it is supposed to do.
It's a cute little game with so many childhood memories from the good old Xbox 360 Arcade time.
And although I can recommend it, I would really wish for more content though since the game can be played through pretty easily and quickly.
Also the settings menu is a little funky and buggy. You might want to fix that
To start out brutally honest, there's not a lot of game here and everything can be completed in a day or so. I'm glad I got this cheap as part of a bundle. Yet when viewed as a short and inexpensive game, I can easily recommend this. After playing both, I feel like I understand now what Party Crashers (released 10 years later but with some suspicious similarities in feel and weapons) was trying to do and be, except this game did everything better.
The standout gimmick here is how the cars run on a power source which recharges when not in use. When you let go of the accelerator for a sharp turn or when you're midair after a ramp or whatever else, the engine's meter fills back up. They call that power source spring-energy from pull-back friction, but the engines may as well be running on magic; you don't actually have to drive backwards to power up the engine, though doing so will supposedly recharge faster.
Weapons and powerups are where these combat racing games succeed or fail, and this one has great and useful stuff scattered around the tracks in yellow mystery boxes. Each item you pick up is added into your inventory, with your currently selected item visible on the car's top, and you can cycle through your inventory and use them with a button press each. There's a slightly long cooldown after using an item, so you can't spam anything.
Various kinds of auto-homing missiles will send opponent cars flipping or turn them to a block of ice, the poison crates reverse steering for anyone who hits one, the oil slick is good but not too powerful, and the headlights blind others for a moment. The excellent shield both deflects attacks and pushes away other cars and objects, which is very useful in certain events. An electro field drains motor power from other cars while the spring fully restores your own engine power. The offense-focused time warp greatly slows down everyone else for a couple seconds, which can be countered by using the excellent boosters. I liked how some powers were extra good at canceling the effects of others. Only the barrels felt kind of pointless, but I could see them being a lot worse if they were heavy.
The game starts with a single-player Adventure Mode against CPU opponents at difficulty settings of Easy, Medium or Hard. There are 46 “events” where you can medal from first to third place, and beating some of them unlocks powerups across the whole game. As an aside, you actually might want to avoid certain powerup unlocks while trying to medal certain races or get certain achievements because a limited selection can be easier, though this doesn't seem to be an intended strategy.
Many of the events are traditional races where driving skill and reaction speed can get an easy win, while the rest are a wild mix of styles including collectathons, checkpoint hunting, and casual activities like darts, marbles and golf. There's a bunch of bobsled-style races where your power doesn't recharge and instead you can only slide down while taking care to avoid a spin-out. My favorite events (not counting all the races) involved pushing the most items of a table, navigating a tower maze to get as high as possible before time ran out, and climbing a steep hill while objects roll down as hazards.
Next is Arcade Mode, where you can play any unlocked event and have some freedom to adjust options including adding more players for a multiplayer race and choosing the car type. The weight of the cars makes a big change for some races such as heavy cars being easier for icy bobsled races. Sadly this level of customization also makes obvious the things you can't customize, such as choosing what weapons will appear.
Finally, Battle Mode has some interesting potential for when you have a group of players. Each battle strings together several events in a row and one player wins the whole battle based on their scores in each event. For some strange reason you have to unlock the battles by finding special items in specific events, so just look up how to do so online.
These odd flaws in the game get more obvious the deeper I go, so let's dive into them. For example, the way the Adventure Mode events board works is a little awkward, where you unlock races if you medal in a connected race; there's not much reason to have them connected in this chaotic web and the lack of structure makes finding events difficult. I also wish there were more of the fun ones, like at minimum three with increasingly difficult tracks.
For a long time, one event in particular called Cannon Man did not seem to be working for me. The goal is to boost off a jump and land on targets for points, but I was landing at the 100 point bar and getting only a few points – and then one day the event suddenly worked. The other worst events are anything spent bowling for vases because you only get more vases if you break all the ones out there, as well as the Foosball table because getting a gold medal perfect game is very dependent on luck.
Also, I tried customizing the controls early on and that didn't work at all (possibly because they were the default buttons for Player 2 which couldn't play Adventure Mode) and then every time I started the game after that, it would be on those non-working controls which meant I needed to go set the controls back to default. For this reason alone, I would say don't mess with control customization at all.
Despite its occasional janky flaws, I really enjoyed this short game. The cars feel good to race and the large human environments make for a fun background. Whether from being frustratingly tough or high-adrenaline thrilling, every race does seem to be unique. This could also be a pretty great party game for a group of racing fans – once someone has unlocked all the items and battles, of course.
Very underappreciated kart racer. Shame that LAN play got cut in this rerelease
