The puzzle game also includes art. There are 3 different museums. I liked The New York City gallery more, the puzzles there were easier than the others. Cool game
Fantastic combination of clever puzzler and art history lesson...great soundtrack as well
For someone like me who loves
1. art galleries
2. silly stories and
3. puzzles,
this was a really nice experience.
Especially for that -70% winter sale price.
I liked this game (or experience). I didn't love some of the lines/colours puzzles, but generaly it was a little bit zen and a little bit demanding. Good time and I'll see the next game from the creator.
Got it on discount, worth it.
Chilll music and easy to medium puzzles
2-4 hours to complete 100%

Lovely game. I was actually surprised at how challenging the puzzles were for me.
I enjoy abstract art and I'm happy to see a game engage in it and its aesthetics in earnest.
Good stuff.
After playing the sequel to this game — which was absolutely brilliant! — I was excited to play the first game in the series. I knew it wasn't the same type of game as Please Touch The Artwork 2 but I didn't really know exactly how they were different. So I was kinda going into the playthrough with not really knowing what to expect.
After talking to the museum employee, I was sent to the New York exhibition. In this section you navigate mazes, collecting dots that spawn letters which form little poems. It took me a solid hour to get to the end of that and while the gameplay was kinda fun in the beginning, it overstayed it's welcome very quickly. It was far too long to be fun the entire time.
I played the Boogie Woogie section next and compared to the hour-long maze, the gameplay here was actually good fun — until the trial and error phase began. I'm not entirely sure if I was missing something but in the section with the teleport squares I didn't see any possible strategies. On some levels, when you make too many mistakes, you need to reset and the level changes (randomly?) to a different layout. Again, maybe I'm not clever enough to figure out the pattern here, but feeling like winning or losing was up to pure luck was very frustrating.
The gameplay of the last exhibit was cool but sadly the later puzzles got way too hard for me. I was still frustrated from the first two sections of the game, so I lost all of my patience and just beat the last few levels with a guide to get all of the achievements.
I clearly see the potential this game has, but personally, I did not enjoy the game overall. I had fun moments with it and I can see how other people might enjoy it a lot more than I did, but this is a review of my experience and I'm sad to say it wasn't a great one.
You should definitely play Please Touch The Artwork 2, it's an amazing game and it's free!
Overall = 5/10
A compilation of 3 simple puzzle games inspired by the artwork of Mondrian. The puzzles aren’t very challenging and they rely too heavily on trial and error but do get more interesting as they build upon their simple concepts, although not to much of a great extent. The stories also aren’t that engaging due to the way in which they are told, but the light-hearted and relaxing atmosphere keeps it pleasant and does make you think at times. The simple and crisp interface is easy to use and made me appreciate the art style a little more, but overall, it’s generally lacking and ended up being annoying rather than rewarding to complete.
Really impressive the multiple lecture with the stories , the art's inspiration with a chill vibe. If you want to relax with art, I recommend.
A perfect choice for relaxation. It has a unique and creative gameplay experience and soothing background music that is strangely enjoyable. Highly recommended!!!
Really enjoyed this game. A nice chill time, sometimes admitadely a bit annoying do to me not understanding the puzzle. They weren't too hard and there is no pressure. I thought it was satasfying, engaging and calming. It made me care about A CUBE! As an art lover it was very fun to engage with the art
Such a cute game, simple design with complex puzzles which is super refreshing and fun.
Soundtrack: elevator music type? I appreciate how non-invasive it is and lets ya think and solve each piece.
Museum guy dude? only knows Mondrian and is not afraid to show it!
I like everything about this game. More pls.

interesting
If you are expecting a game like Please, touch the artwork 2 - this ain't it. I found it boring and repetitive.
this piece of entertainment software is a pain in the ass. the puzzles are not rewarding, nor fun and feel like a walking simulator in the worst imaginable way. actually there are no real puzzles, just clicking buttons to move through a flat labyrinth or clicking spaces on the screen. the visual design and movements of patterns cause motion sickness and hurt my eyes. everything is very hard to look at. there is something seriously wrong with the choice of colors and the way movement is executed. it didn't look that bad in the screenshots and i should have tested it earlier in order to request a refund. it is taking me a very long time to progress because the visuals are giving me a migraine and make me nauseous. the game is called "please touch the artwork" but there is nothing in it that resembles an artwork, just ugly patterns and stupid lyrics that try to be poetic and make me cringe. it is obviously trying to emulate the color palette and compositions of piet mondrian, but without any purpose or explanation. the developer does not mention mondrian at any point and i generally despise such behaviour.
Annoying turns into challenging - then into engaging - an then into annoying - and challenging - amusing - satisfying...
Simple yet unique... yet familiar. :)
Lovely overall tribute and well-designed levels.
the game wanted me to tough the artwork but it is the art that touched me
Short and sweet puzzle game based on abstract art. I found a few of the initial puzzles in the style section to be difficult, but the other two sections of the game were relatively easy. The dynamic music and bright colors made this game super enjoyable!
great game. wasn't a fan of the new york gallery, found that boring but otherwise, great overall!
The game itself is very original, I've appreciated the generic plot and the art environment, but the puzzles are very frustrating and completing the game feels like a chore to me. Still, it's a good game, I can only suggest you to try it
Not a fun game if you are prone to headaches from flashing lights or lots of movement all at once. I'm chronically ill for the time being and I need something to pass the time, the unnecessary animations in the paintings outside of the pathway you should be controlling are a strain to the eyes.
Should be a way to turn off unnecessary animations (rain, black dots).
Should also be inclusive to dark mode, I find myself having to take frequent breaks.
I wouldn't even call it contemporary nor abstract art, as most of these are spin-offs from Piet Mondrian's pieces and they feel timely to the childish messages that come with them. Writing a story piece-by-piece for characterising shapes is hard, I understand, but the way it was written comes off as silly.
I kinda have to say, I really didn't like this one. Please touch the artwork 2 was/is a fabulously relaxing game with no real stress to it with some quirky paintings thrown in for good measure.
Please Touch The Artwork 1 fails to deliver on any of this and instead seems to focus on increasingly complex puzzles with no real story line.
I do realise that a lot of effort was put into producing this game and thankfully the developer had improved things by the time he got to the second one in the series.
Very fun puzzle game. It offers challenge and creativity without barring you from hints or punishing you for using them. I highly recommend picking this up.
Jogo sensacional, onde a criatividade, a direção de cada história, e nossa mundividência se torna um só. Sem falar da trilha sonora...
It might be that I am too good at mazes, and too accustomed to reading mediocre student poetry, but this felt like very definition of "The Juice wasn't worth the Squeeze." :/
An entertaining puzzle game
Fun to play and just beautiful. A unique and sweet game I fully recommend.
