I really like how the magic combat system works.
My only complaint is that there's not enough of the game. The story and lore are just further explained through item descriptions and the animated manga you'd unlock while playing, which are still nice.
probably one of my favorite games of all time. a cool souls like third person shooter. fun boss fights and a good story. kinda reminds me of klonoa. better than dark souls

My first souls-like game and it was super fun to play. Can't wait for the full release. One thing though, maybe the magic descriptions could be improved, had a hard time understanding the improvement Arcane had when leveled up. Also the spell for ice element level 3 just did not lock into target despite the description saying so. 10/10.

Fantastic variant of the soulslike gameplay formula.
I'll try to give a real review since most are just the cute/funny joke.
Story is okay, nothing super in depth but serviceable. Told through a few cutscenes and item descriptions.
Combat with trash mobs is whatever, you just blast them, not much else to say. A few of the bosses are actually pretty fun, you'll be learning their attack patterns and swapping spells during combat depending on the situation.
Decent exploration. Overall the game is linear but you can come back to areas to find secret areas with upgrades to your spells. There's a bit of platforming involved and a few puzzles but nothing major. The environments aren't super detailed but I still think they have good atmosphere, it's a good minimalist design.
Overall I think the game is decent and worth a shot. I kind of think it would've been better as a boss rush game tbh, something like Shadow of the Colossus cause the boss battles are where this game shines whereas mobs felt like a bit of a chore.
Good but needs some balancing. Throw out stat leveling out of the window. You can run around with level 1 Health, and high Intelligence, destroy anything with ez.

Aside from me making a joke review to fit in with everyone else(😭), I'll just say something simple since I've played the game until the first big moment(assuming there's still quite a bit more).
The only thing that sucks is that there's no camera sensitivity slider. I have to press the DPI button on my mouse to max speed to make the camera movement more bearable.

souls like slop, annoying stamina bar to stun lock your sprint and rolls, no counter/parry for projectiles or melee attacks. Have to melee to regain mana but how are you going to do that when you have NO STAMINA, end up getting locked up being completely useless. Core mechanics; SPAM MAGIC, HOLD MAGIC, SMACK LIKE A GIRL, ROLL, SPRINT, COLLAPSE FACE FIRST ASS UP.
$24.99 base price when people can finish this in a couple hours is CRAZY, especially for what it offers... and how it looks... even on highest settings things in front of you are popping in. So many unity/unreal slop games coming out with decent graphics but mediocre or asscrack gameplay meanwhile this has both pisspoor graphics and gameplay. On sale for $13.74 is still crazy, DEVS, be aware that you're INDIE SLOP, and sell the game for 5$, I'd be fine buying this game then. There's plenty of indie games that offer more or the same and realize what they are, INDIE SLOP, and only ask for a REASONABLE 5-10$. These devs are greedy, thinking because its anime with some japanese voices the VALUE is tripled, just look at the prices for the dlc for cosmetics A PIECE, that should be in the base game. That money ain't going towards expanding the game because the game is still NONTENT after all these years. Yet another astroturfed game by hypeinfluencers and memes.
The only time cunny actually made me cry. Cunny witch will return to the land of dreams where promises are kept.

It wasn't super difficult, but I didn't feel like I was being hand holded which was a big plus.

Little Witch Nobeta is a good souls game. In fact, this game has challenged me more than any From Soft game ever has to 100%, but i think this may be because of some questionable boss mechanics on it's very hard boss rush mode, which is completely optional, the base game itself ain't that hard.
A lot of low budget asian Action RPGs suffer from sub-par gameplay and clunky movement mechanics a lot of the time, and i'm happy to say, this game isn't of them, which is quite impressive that this indie title tried to do something so different and it actually plays really well most of the time, the more "TPS with spells" spin on the souls genre felt very fresh and original, i even think maybe some other souls games could benefit if they approached spell casting in a similar way as it's presented in this game. So, needless to say, if you love playing mage on Dark Souls this game is perfect for you, if you don't, well you're out of luck because melee is not encouraged here at all (although usable).
The story is simple but charming, the overall aspect and style of the game, combined with the simple 3D graphics and overpowered witch protagonist reminded me a lot of The Witch and The Hundred Knight, which sadly isn't available on PC, and also the story in Nobeta ain't as good or as well developed, but on the slim chance you enjoy that game, i would highly recommend trying nobeta, you might find a new favorite.

Adorable Character , Simple and the game is more toward easy difficult (on normal) if you're player who want to get to souls-like kind of game but scare off by it's difficulty I think this's game is good place to start specially if you like cute characters than something overly serious .

Love this game but its not perfect and it's almost a little hard to recommend.
Combat is really good, feels fun and fast paced.
Characters and bosses are well designed and lovable and cute and funny.
However...
Game is PRETTY DAMN EASY, like combat is okay but boss fights are under-tuned.
A lot of areas feel empty and underwhelming, just not enough scenery / plants.
The game is pretty short. Right when I felt like the game was getting good, I reached the last area. It almost feels like a tutorial and then 2 levels.
Really wish the game was longer, it feels like a lot of build up for a kind of disappointing end. Very fun up to that point though.
Dark Souls but for men 💪
Surprising a good game. Definitely a smalls scale/indie game, but it's among the top of indie games.
It's basically a shooter souls like, the difficulty is in the same rough ballpark of Dark Souls/Elden Ring.

Combat combines satisfying spellcasting with quick dodging, and while it’s not especially complex, the range of elemental spells keeps things fun and engaging.
As you learn new spells, you can mix up strategies, which adds some depth to each battle.
However, the lack of enemy variety becomes more noticeable as you progress, and you’ll find yourself wishing for a few more unique encounters.
Despite this, combat stays enjoyable and rewarding, especially in boss fights, where the game’s difficulty shines.
Exploration & Environment | 5/10
This is where Little Witch Nobeta starts to feel a bit thin.
The environments are generally limited to castle halls and dungeon-like areas that, while beautiful in color and lighting, lack diversity.
Roughly 70% of the game takes place in empty, dimly lit dungeons with different shades of stone, giving a feeling of sameness.
Rooms are often sparsely decorated or entirely empty, with almost no furniture or points of interest.
This leaves many areas feeling barren, which reduces the incentive to explore beyond what’s necessary.
Graphics | 8/10
Visually, Little Witch Nobeta brings a lot of charm to its environments, even if they’re repetitive.
The character design is adorable, and the magical effects during spellcasting bring bursts of color to the otherwise muted surroundings.
The castle’s lighting and atmospheric details are handled well, creating an eerie but fairytale-like mood that adds to the overall experience.

I'm only 3 hours in. It seems to me like its going to be a shorter game, somewhere in the 12 to 20 hour completion time. There's mechanics similar to the Souls-Like play style, but it's not very souls like. I would recommend getting a grip with using a couple ranged attacks and following up with melee as a general rule of thumb. You can do a lot to avoid damage in melee, but using your mana to hit from a distance is going to be recommended.

Okay, so where to start...
Look, the game is really cute and is definitely engaging enough at the beginning. How I would describe this game is a really polished proof of concept. They were going for a fully magic based souls-like type game and on a first pass succeeded in that goal. However that is where progress stops.
This should have been a quick little demo that THEN should have been expanded upon significantly, as it is the game basically has 3 enemies, small puppet, large puppet, and spirit. The game also only has one singular environment, "stone tunnel" with very minor variations between them which can make navigation a very dull. The first hour of the game was fun, the first ten hours were starting to get repetitive, and then you realise that there isn't really more to the game beyond that except for the last two areas which have issues of their own.
Overall, for a first game it was cute enough, not quite worth the price as it is, and if they can majorly expand on the concept to add a lot more depth it has the potential to be a really good game.

A souls like game that's easy for those who aren't that good at that type of game. I found it fun to play.
