Cast
Mara, the CEO and founder of Nanovolt, a struggling technology startup that's looking for funding. She finally locks down a major investor and prepares her final pitch... that is until she clashes with their VP, Rinden, the morning before the presentation.
Rinden, investor and VP of Aurous. After immigrating to the United States, Rinden has always focused on investments in clean energy. He finally found the best startup to invest in, with the help of his business intern, Ana.
Ana, 2nd generation Japanese & tea connoisseur. Growing up, Ana's always helped her parents' tea shop in Little Tokyo. However, at one fateful tea festival, she meets Jaren, a lost soul who wants nothing but learn more about what she's passionate for the most.
Jaren, a dude who works at a retro game shop. After losing his connection with a girl at a tea festival, he puts on his detective hat, determined to find her again. Along the way, he makes new friends, learns about ramen, and even helps a stranger, Milo, change his flat tire.
Milo, an aspiring film director who focuses on documentaries. While testing out his camera in the park, he meets his future best friend, Bia. Little did he know that their lives, for better or for worse, will be completely intertwined for the next 8 years.
Bia, a Brazilian photography student who moved to the United States. Bubbly by nature, Bia tries to make friends wherever she goes, including even her friend's reserved sister, Mara. 4 years later, Bia would find out that their casual encounter at the theater has inspired Mara to create the future of our world.

i didnt know about this game at all, i only searched "heartwarming" on steam and got this recommended, and it wasn't wrong. i played this game on one sitting. i felt like i should pay more than $1. Love the script-like-rom com. Love the mixed design mix from 3D and 2D pixel art. Love how all the NPCs are all important and used. I hope there's more game like this.
I like the art, the soundtrack and the concept, but you get to know the characters so little and jump between each stories pretty fast. The pacing just ruined it for me.
A cute and wholesome game, but the characters and story lack depth. There is no development or tension in the game that leaves you bored. Only recommend buying if on sale.

I had a lot of fun with this one! The characters and their stories were very cute, and the narrative of lives intersecting across time was neat. I enjoyed the little puzzles/fetch quests - they were simple enough to be relaxing, and engaging enough to still be fun. Pulled this from my backlog on a whim and completed it in two evenings. My partner watched a level, and is tempted to play it himself! (He was very invested in Jaren's quest for love, haha) It was cozy, entertaining and made me smile - definitely recommend as a cozy rom-com game!
On the positive side, it's a beautiful game, really cute and wholesome. For some reason, it went through the step-by-step instructions of how to change a tire, and I wasn't even bored during it! The game has its charms, for sure!
However, it felt like extremely superficial and simplistic storytelling and it just didn't deliver on that aspect. It does not feel like I actually got to know these people and their romances, and sometimes the game framed things in ways that I simply didn't agree with - immediately getting angry at someone for having a business deal fall through, yelling at and then throwing a drink at this person felt like a weird and bad reaction to me, and that happened two in-game hours before these two characters had their romantic high point in game. That couple died for me with that fight, so that put a sour taste in my mouth for the end of the game. Another couple barely gets to interact, so they still feel like strangers to each other by the end.
The game survives its storytelling weakness by being pretty to look at, and NPCs occasionally have interesting things to say, but overall this game was disappointing to me. It seems like the best love stories might be lived by NPCs.
On the puzzles, some of them were fun, some of them felt empty to me, like it was just a "we need another puzzle / fetch quest in this chapter" deal where something was squeezed in for filler.
So, overall, I didn't really enjoy playing this, and I wasn't invested in these love stories while I played, which was the big problem. To me, I would consider this game being three romantic short films in one, with none of them feeling very romantic or believable to me.
