This game is fantastic, It's scary, It's fun, It's short but worth the price, And is somewhat hard, Kinda, But at the end of the day, I would 100% recommend.
Fun, little, slightly scary game. Achievements are cool.
good untill i see a naked fat man covering his balls. but still good
This game doesn't get the respect it deserves, this is the OG that really kickstarted the anomaly games.
8.5/10
A few lines from your favorite anomaly expert:
"I'm on Observation Duty" is a strange game. It has a really cool concept, but the execution is a bit lacking.
The idea of reporting different anomalies and classifying them is great, but sometimes it’s quite hard to determine the type of anomaly you’re looking at (and occasionally, the categorization doesn’t make much sense).
The lack of a zoom option for the camera makes some anomalies very hard to spot.
The idea of lazily switching from room to room, expecting to notice small differences, and suddenly having a creature pop "right in your face" is interesting but happens with all anomalies involving ghosts or intruders.
Still, I had fun achieving 100% of the achievements, so I guess – "thumbs up."
This factory reset my soul what the flip bro
Once you can remember what can happen in the room is simple but at the same time it can be tricky if you don't notice it right away. Also if you see a intruder change camera quick then report which room it's in so that you don't have to start over.
I don't want to observe anymore
It is very paranoying and scary, if you are playing this game and you get jumpscared, you will crap yourself.
Neurodivergent masochists with long-term memory loss will not go hungry with this series.
8/10- Needs more Timothy.
Oh, right: Keep this away from the kids, ya dig? Really.
I thought this was just some YouTube meme game, but what I got is an engrossing spot-the-difference game. Don't judge the game until you try it for yourself.
It's a very fun game! Even though it is essentially just "spot the difference spooky edition" it is very re-playable because what changes is random each play through. There's still a few anomalies that I haven't seen yet, despite playing it for hours!
not finna lie I thought it would be kinda rubbish but no it is goated. VERY slow game ftr and losing near the end I got angry!!! But is a good idea and is executed well too also
this game is always changing and is very unpredictable
will drain 50% battery in one game
Neat game where you catch anomalous phenomena from cameras. Although most of the time you just sit there scrolling until you find something which is boring, but still enjoyable.
I didn't notice at first that this game contained nudity. My 10 year old niece likes scary games and looking for anomalies sounded fun, so I got this to play with her. They didn't show anything fr in the first chapter but in the later ones there is a dude totally jacking it in the shower. Needless to say I was turned off of this game after that. Do not play this with kids.
spooko
successfully creepy and nostalgic. The intruders are pretty scary and the atmosphere is eerie. Spot the difference horror is a good idea for a game. you should check out the other games in the series 10/10 game!

basic but good fun
It only took 3 hours to complete the game and get all achievements. Interesting concept that I have not seen in other games before. I recommend.
Bought all the games in the series after seeing the gamegrumps play them. So now i´m playing through them in order. It takes a few tries of each place to get a feel for them but after that you kind of feel like a god for knowing what is coming. "I knew that chair moved, i saw it happen last time. Can´t pull that trick on me twice ghosts". It´s oddly intriguing even if you are kind of just staring at still pictures most of the time. Kind of meditating; switch room, count the books, switch room, check that there is not a nude man in the shower, switch room, check the artworks, etc. Gets into a nice rythmn.
Great introduction to the IOOD series. Some of those intruder scares really caught me off guard!
Tis fun and creepy, be patient.... and remeber 2013....
About as much fun as staring at your desktop wallpaper
Despite only being two levels, this game is so fun and challenging to play! Plus the hidden secrets are fun to find and some of the anomalies are hilarious like the dude that shows up in the shower lol xd
Really good game :)
Amazing!
Did you play I spy as a kid? Do you like spot the difference tasks? If not, you'll still probably like this game, but you'll like it a lot more if you do. It's good, simple, and doesn't need to be more.
This is like prophunt, but scary.
fun cognitive challenge to wake up to
very bueno game
If you like FNAF and Uncanny Valley, this game is for you.
If you've ever seen the recent proliferation of horror-themed "spot the anomaly" type games like The Exit 8 and Midnight Monitor, you can largely thank Notovia and his wonderful creation, I'm On Observation Duty. By mixing spot-the-difference gameplay with environments presented through security cameras, this series has made a real name for itself and become a classic in my book. Your job is to survive from 12 AM-6 PM by reporting anomalies, such as objects moving/disappearing, weird things happening to walls/floors and so forth. The horror comes into play from the fact that you will inevitably encounter at least one freaky intruder, often when you least expect it, and the audio is dead silent until certain anomalies trigger, which can definitely jumpscare you. The dead silence in general also adds an unsettling feeling that always sticks with me, no matter how many times I replay these games.
This game, and all its sequels, will really test your memory, knowing what types of anomalies there are, and which objects can change. It's very difficult to beat either level in this game on your first try with out looking up the anomalies. Anomalies are randomized each run and don't appear at set times. The difficulty and randomization encourage replaying the game and going in with what you know can change, and discovering more subtle anomalies you've missed before. If you don't like trial-by-error, you might get a bit frustrated with that, since full runs take about 20 minutes and it's entirely possible to lose even in the last in-game hour. But you're not penalized for submitting false reports other than costing you time. You can only have up to 3 anomalies active; 4 and you lose, and you only get a single warning per run when you're up to 3 active. That leads to my only real complain about this game and the later entries; generally there's only one object per each type of anomaly (for example, object movement in a bedroom will only ever given to one object for that room, instead of multiple). It does make memorization easier, but at the cost of making future runs more predictable more quickly.
Despite that though, this is a really enjoyable game and a great foundation for the rest to follow. It's a particularly fun game to stream to audience or a group of friends, too!
For spooky month and celebration of the release of the 7th game, I will be reviewing the rest of the series.
Hood Classic
very Spooky, do not play at 3 a.m.!!!!1011!!)!010!)?
Something about this game scratches a nostalgic itch in my brain of playing those old "I Spy" children's books with my mother. It's not particularly a scary game, minus a couple jumps, but I enjoyed playing it quite a bit.
gud
Definitely recommend. Challenging, unsettling, and weird.
im on observation duty really tests your observation skills. you have a few rooms to observe and make sure nothing changes. there are two houses, the old house and the new house.
the old house is a great starter map, as theres less items to keep an eye on and less places to look. the new house provides more of a challenge, with a ton of clutter around the house to pay attention to.
if youre really struggling, there are guides that can help you figure out what changes to look for and how to report them. several of the anomalies are easy to miss, so it may take some time to get the hang of everything.
Bad its needa be free
A truly fun time with a simple premise, excellent stuff!
nice
Fun to play, some effective jumpscares.
A novel, new idea that has taken the game industry by storm. FNAF wishes it was this good!
there is a huge man and he is coming for you
