I'll write an updated review once I complete more of the actual game, but I've been so distracted by the cribbage mini game that I haven't really played the base game. My hours played are solely from playing cribbage and I love it. Instead of playing solitaire when I'm multi-tasking I play cribbage in Later Daters now 😆

Cute. Silly. Heartfelt. Open-minded.
A lot more love went into this game than one might guess from the premise- and the end product is a fun, enjoyable, goofy ride with some moments of real feeling scattered throughout.
I played through Later Daters twice and enjoyed my stay in the game thoroughly. It is occasionally silly, manages to be both funny and sad as different characters struggle in different ways, and I got to smooch the person I pursued in each playthrough. The romance felt quite sweet and wholesome. Also, the game is (and allows you to be) queer as heck. Even with the range of emotions, however, I would call this game light entertainment.
I really liked playing and would recommend it!
I love the diversity of the in-game characters and the choices of character you can play. Most of all it shows old folks have fun too!

The game is very good but i feel like there's a lot more that could happen, and more stories to unfold, I loved the characters and their interactions but I would like another week!!
I love this game! I also have it on my Switch. The characters feel like real friends and there are many different ways the story can go depending on your choices. The cribbage game is a great way to stay connected with the characters even after the story has been played out several times. I hope there is a part 3!
Cheaper than therapy and yet made me feel so soothed about someday being a gay elder living it up with a community of found family!
Wow, where should I start?
1- Music: it's catching, and Jax's songs are deep, it made me think about everything in life and I ended up with a good mess in my head lol.
2- Characters: they're hella good. I had a lot of fun getting to know all of them! (Specially Blair rawr)
3- Art Style: I find it sooooooo unique and cute. I think the artists did a really good job placing those appearances to our buddies. They totally fit with their personality!
4- Diseases: I really liked how Alzheimer, HIV and other diseases are treated in this game. It's important to teach and to learn how some of these can cause a BIG difference in our life or someone's one. I liked how the game cares about that but at the same time has some sense of humour (at least that's what I catched), the way that the characters live with such natural emotions; the bad ones, the good ones...
I totally recommend the 2 parts because this game has so much to teach about how to live our life's in a different way and to take advantage of the present. It showed me a lot of things, and now I can't wait to see my grandma and send her a flying kiss!

Very trans and queer friendly. It's been a lot of fun. Doesn't drag on like some dating sims. This actually had some hard hitting stuff, too. I love the range. I'd totally recommend it.
Get this game sooner, rather than later, to become a Ye OLDE dater.
I've played this game through once myself, have happily been watching a friend on their playthrough, and I'm considering playing it myself again after because it's such an enjoyable experience. The characters are multi-faceted and it's lovely to spend a couple hours with them. I'm a fan of the inclusive dating options and LGBTQ+ representation. This game has mastered walking the line between wholesome and spicy.
I know a lot of love was put into the creation of this game and it really shows. It's a short game that sticks with you - especially the catchy theme song.
Now you don't have to wait literally decades to be a senior citizen dating other senior citizens. So time to grab your cane and polish your dentures, romance and adventure await!
I know some people might pass on this because its about older people, and they might think this game is some sort of joke, but it's not. The characters are all fleshed out very well, I ended up caring about every character there, not just the character I was pursuing. This game made me more attached to every character than Monster Prom did to my favorite, even though that game is longer. All in all, a great experience, even if it's a little short. I really hope another part is coming, but I'm already pretty happy with this purchase.

It`s a very lovely story!
At first, I thought this game was going to be super cute and fun like Dream Daddy. Not only was it fun and enjoyable, it was filled with so much emotions and inclusivity and just all around an amazing game. I streamed this game, not knowing that me and my chat would be crying towards the end! I cannot wait until the next chapters release because I will definitely be picking it up!
I knew a little about the game, still, I am surprised by it, because it tells me "you are not done learning/deconstructing yourself!" Like, there are so many possitive things about human relationships that the game shows, that I hope everyone gets to experience that kind of kindness some time in their lives.
I played through the first part in 1.5 hours. I really enjoyed it so far but apparently part 2 will come out closer to the end of the year so if you wanted to play through the entire thing like me, maybe it's best to wait till later! I really don't wanna wait that long! Sigh
While addressing the often ignored interests of older gamers, this attempt at 'romance for older people' is pretty tepid and ultimately disappointing. Apart from the fact that this very short game is actually only half a game (this being "Season 1" with more to follow) – 'Later Daters' did actually not let me date anybody. At the very last moment my character suddenly has preference and choice wrenched away from her/him. While so far there's been a multiple choice of dialogues, suddenly the player can only agree to what's been offered, resulting in a very frustrating ending. Also, using a pet as the main element driving the very sparse narrative I find quite poor, even a bit patronising. And considering the simplicity of style – panels with text to click on – it's sad that some of the (English) grammar was not double checked. I commend the inclusiveness though the actual choice of characters is very limited. Sadly, for me 'Later Daters' was a disappointment.
Holy guacamole! This is the game I have been WAITING for! Now I can live my dream as a Grandma who is down for some Hanky-panky ;)
