Letters - a written adventure is a very middle of the road game. Some ideas like the central word puzzle mechanic translate well while other aspects like the character movement elements feel slow and tedious. I also didn’t really like the majority of the supporting characters and for the bulk of the game they treat the main character poorly. Those aspects don’t necessarily make Letters- a written Adventure a bad game, but I would also be surprised if this was anyone’s favorite game.

This amazing game and Sarah's story immediately captivated me. After the first playthrough, I went straight through it a second time and made different decisions because I wanted to experience their impact on the story. The portrayal of Sarah's feelings and fears touched me and reminded me of my own insecurities growing up and dealing with people socially. The gameplay is quite simple, but sometimes it is difficult "to find the right words". I really liked the graphic style and the in-game-messenger fueled my nostalgia.
Great game, so much better than I was expecting. All the jumping gets rather annoying, but that's my only qualm with the game. The idea is creative and interesting, the characters are all well written, with their own, distinct personalities, motivations, etc, and the graphics are adorable. The game does a really good job of ensuring a smooth, high-quality story across whatever choices you make, even though this can change the story and ending dramatically. I absolutely adore this game.
Also, I was way too amused by intentionally choosing the wrong words to send to friends in chat. Good stuff.
It's a nice and cute game in general and in the end, but I didn't like it much. Probably, it's just not for me. I was literally waiting for it to end even though it is quite short. I guess I had some expectations about this game after watching the trailers, but it turned out to be not what I had expected.
Pretty fun, short game with interesting story paths. I absolutley adore the style of the game and the characters in them. My only complaint is the game mechanic. Jumping is pretty annoying after a while. SInce the game is so short it is fine though. Also love how you can change the looks of so many things! Super creative! I understand that there is a ton of coding and artwork in there but 15 bucks feels still a bit hefty to me. So I reccomend getting this when it goes on sale :)
I had no idea what I was getting into when I booted this up, and I am happily surprised by how fun it was! Loved the puns and wordplay, and the controls and just how the game plays is something I've never seen before. Love that you can "create your own character" throughout the story, that the choices "matter". Definitely re-playable for the achievements!
