Overall, Bakery Simulator is an engaging and educational game that provides hours of fun for baking enthusiasts and simulation fans alike.
.
Unplayable untill motion blur can be turned off
The game is good but too short. I mean you can literally 100% the game in 10 hours. If you get the game while on sale its worth it but if you buy it on full price......pls don't.
First of all, for future potential player, do note that this game got no update anymore.
But for what it is, and if you can get it on deep discount, this is such a fun little game that you can spend a lot of hours in. It's relaxing, it's satisfying, very therapeutic.
It's such a shame that they dropped the game.
lowest mouse sensitivity isn't doing it for me due to permanent motion blur, the driving mechanics in this game is shitass, has a lot of bugs and the game crashes every so often, the game has a lot of potential but yeah sucks that the devs are not working on it anymore so i really would not recommend buying it unless discounted at 90% or higher D:
8/10
if you love your real life job and you buy a simulator of it.
Really fun game as long as you like baking
Ngl it is on sale for 0,99$ and it was worth it. played for 2 days straight and not gotten bored, a bug here and there but overall i would try the game out if it is on sale.
this game was very good and fun at first but i quickly realized what others meant about it breaking and being unable to play. I made muffins and my game crashed, load back in and my muffins are unable to be baked because apparently I already had them??? Can't fulfill order either cause apparently there's nothing to fulfill. Very sad cause I was having fun but not upsetting since it was 75 cents. Overall, good for the amount of time I enjoyed it. sad, cause my baking job ended before it even started.
This was a lot of fun to play... even with the really annoying bug where I kept randomly crouching for no reason. If you can grab it on sale its worth it.
great timesink
EVERYTHING IS BREAKING EVERYWHERE, NOTHING WORKS. NOT EVER.
This is a fairly typical simulator game. The game can be extremely chill if you just do 1 order a day, or you can take multiple orders per in game day if you want to feel more rushed and get more money/progress for your time.
IMO there is a bit of a learning curve. It feels confusing at first because things don't feel intuitive, but you can press "H" while looking at cooking machines to get a quick tutorial that usually helps. Once you figure out how specific things work it's fun enough to play, the most annoying thing to me was that it can be a little difficult to place your goods in the cooking pans because you have to put your mouse in a very specific spot for it to recognize what you're trying to do. The game also feels unfinished. Once you unlock the final area there's not that many upgrades left despite it looking like there should be, and the final upgrades are overkill for the orders you can accept, it feels like there was bigger plans for this game that never happened.
Once I got to the final area, the gameplay started to feel repetitive, and I mainly kept playing just to complete the achievements. I still generally enjoyed my time with it. It’s not a groundbreaking or amazing experience, but it’s a functional simulator game and I liked it enough to 100% it. It seems a lot of people experienced many bugs in this game, but I encountered zero bugs or issues, so your mileage may vary in that department. I would recommend this game at 95% off if you like simulator games!
Man, I hate leaving negative reviews because I actually did enjoy this game initially. It had so much potential but it seems like the devs gave up on it which isn't fair to their player base. What made me finally throw the towel in and ask for a refund was because of serious game breaking bugs:
-Would deliver an order and come back to a tier 1 kitchen when I was in tier 2 with no way to fix it other than skip several days IF it would work
-Deliver an order and suddenly all the loaves would be floating in the game.
-Try to deliver an order but wouldn't respond to appropriate key (R).
-Muffin cups would pop out of the muffin tins and get 'stuck' to the surface of whatever it was on. Had to skip so many days because of this bug.
-Tried two replays and bugs still occurred despite, installing/reinstalling/verifying game files.
Do yourself a favor and save your money.
NEEDS MORE UPGRADES AND THINGS
Too many bugs, not playable.
Game stopped working mid-tutorial. After some reading it looks like the game's been abandoned. Bummer.
Can't recommend, even if it was on sale for £1. The game is not polished - I was midway through the tutorial when one of the features it was guiding me through broke and I couldn't exit out. When I went back into the game, the tutorial had to restart.
Controls-wise, it's also awful. Even when dialing the sensitivity down to minimum the mouse moves at lightning speeds.
As part of the gameplay you have to also set down items in specific trays - with a timer that's constantly ticking down there's not really room for error when you place these items down. So it's especially annoying when you have to place these items in a specific area that is absolutely tiny and you have to spend time and frustration finding the exact spot.
I wanted to like this game, but the UX was definitely not tested out extensively.
bake breds
Very relaxing game. Its literally baking. You have to measure and mix the ingredients, then you have to cut and roll the dough, after that u have to bake it to the right temperature. Delivering the goods seems fun and you can crash the car and it delays the delivery because you have 5 mins to get the stuff to the customer. Its kinda nice.
I played for 2 hours so far. Give it a try if you like baking.
banger game ong
they have abandoned the game, no updates, no bug fixes... don't buy unless 90% off
only recommending it on sale.
got this for like 80 cents on sale.
it's monotone and simple. quite a few weird bugs, nothing game breaking for me so far.
full price, about 15 €, is too much for this imo.
i'm glad the driving minigame is skipable without too much of a cost to it, it's not that great.
what i do enjoy is that i didnt even realize how much time i already spend playing this. could do with some more variation but this is fine enough. typical sim.
A pleasant and engaging simulator that allows you to experience all the intricacies of being a baker. Despite some minor flaws, it attracts with its cozy atmosphere and fascinating baking process.
Pros:
Realistic baking process.
A variety of recipes and equipment.
Business management elements add depth.
Delivery dynamics that break up the bakery routine.
Tutorial mode for beginners.
Cons:
Occasional monotony in repetitive tasks.
Controls sometimes feel sluggish.
Limited customization options.
Lacks a multiplayer mode to share the fun with friends.
I can't finish the tutorial because as you get to the start of the delivery I'm not able to escape out of the tab menu and there's no other exit. My Esc button is fully functional and i'm able to move my mouse around the circle but it just doesn't work at this one point. I had high hopes about this game so I'm disappointed. Other comments say its pretty janky so don't risk it.
This game is highly addicting and fun to start it can be a bit challenging but once you start to unlock upgrades it makes it so much easier to play around and do bulk orders.
I played for a few rounds... but now everytime I mix and try to take back the dough, the game freeze.
Can I do something to repair?
It's a whole bakery up in here. I am talking about ME by the way.
10/10 rating for this game.
I initially bought Bakery Simulator for myself and ended up playing it for eight hours with my best friend. The gameplay itself is engaging and has a lot of potential. It was fun managing the bakery, making different recipes, and trying to fulfill orders efficiently. The graphics and mechanics are charming, and the process of baking feels immersive and satisfying.
However, I ran into a significant issue that completely halted my progress and made the game frustrating. I accidentally mismanaged my money, ran out of funds, and couldn’t pay off my loan. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t offer a way to take a secondary loan, which might have helped recover from the financial mistake. Worse, I didn’t have enough money to buy the ingredients needed to finish the active recipe, leaving me completely stuck.
To make matters worse, there’s no option to restart the game from the beginning or reset progress. This lack of a basic reset or progression safeguard makes a single mistake feel overly punishing, especially for a casual simulator game.
I really wanted to love this game, but the inability to recover from small mistakes or start over even with a reinstall, has soured the experience for me. A more forgiving financial system, the ability to take additional loans, or a reset option would drastically improve the game. Until these issues are addressed, it’s hard to recommend this game for anyone who wants a relaxing and flexible simulator experience.
If the developers update the game to address these progression concerns, I’d gladly revisit and update my review. For now, though, it feels like an enjoyable experience that can quickly turn into frustration due to its unforgiving mechanics.
A really nice game, its not very long but its not too long to get tedious. The recipes and the machines are really cool and the minigames pretty nice. The carts are sadly buggy when they are too full. But still pretty cool and pretty well executed. I can highly recommend it
priqtna
a good game i got the hang of it and i love it i will be playing more
The baking part is fun. But if you wanna know how bad your driving is....this is the game for you.
XD Fun sim tho.
It a really fun game but I wish it would have more then 30 levels and more missions and machines and bakery building would be great.
The reviews made me a little hesitant to play this game but I'm glad I gave it a go. I did experience some of the bugs others have mentioned but in my instance all of them could be fixed by skipping a day.
If you're willing to look past some minor bugs, it's definitely an enjoyable, relaxing game.
Relaxing ( not really) and fun game. Personally i didnt encounter any bugs in this game. Got this on sale And Loved it. Inspired me to bake IRL :)
I played until level 10 thinking it might've just been slow to start. So far, the game is just slow and dull. It feels very unfinished. I really enjoy the actual baking mechanics. Getting specific amounts of ingredients and mixing a certain amount, shaping and baking in a specific way. However, in the beginning of the game you can only do one order at a time. So you spend an entire in game day making two loaves of bread and then have to do an awful top down driving sim. And then you get to the bugs. Directions that either don't make sense, or do but the game doesn't accept it. The controls are very clunky, you can carry a single item at a time and can't stack. Meaning most of the cooking time is spent walking back and forth across the kitchen. And god forbid you have to make muffins. The game only recognizes that you've selected a slot to place a muffin liner/fill the liner maybe ¼ of the time. Trying to do 30 muffins for an order this way is what made me finally stop wasting my time. The only reason I haven't refunded it is because it was 79¢ and I'm hoping it gets a desperately needed update. I really really wanted to like this game.
So sad because I really like this game but it has so many bugs.
There's problems with the physics where you're just trying to place things down but instead bounces off something and is scattered around. (I was literally just trying to place down dough on the former table and everything shot up into the ceiling. To this day, I do not know where 5/15 bread went. :'<)
When you move machines around, they disappear when it collides with another machine.
Sometimes as well when scooping ingredients into a bowl, you'd hear the noise it makes when you scoop it but the number on the scale would say it didn't do it.
Other visual bugs too.
I'll add more to the list once I remember. Such a shame because I would really recommend this game if not for the bugs.
It makes me sad that I can't recommend this game, but this is a no from me. Honestly, I love this game and keep coming back to it but there are bugs everywhere and it's super frustrating. If you can put up with the bugs, maybe it's worth a buy but if you want something polished, this isn't it.
Example of bugs I've personally encountered:
- Upgrade to second bakery, get taken back to the first and you cannot complete your day
- Was rolling baguettes and stopped midway, could not go back to rolling baguettes which bricked the order
- Left game to go to main menu (to fix bricked baguettes), came back and all the pans were displaced in the oven, causing some to be raw and some cooked.
- Also after leaving and coming back, one of my completed orders is not not registering as complete. The games says I haven't done it, even though I have.
This is a game I enjoy and will continue to play, however the bugs are literally game breaking. I always rage quit my sessions, so I cannot recommend.
I would recommend this if not for the bugs. I enjoy simulator games like this and as someone who likes baking this is a fun game to play, wont ever get tired of it even if I play it repeatedly thats for sure but, the Bugs I cant.
So far here are the shit that I've encountered
-Cant grab trolley when clicked
-Cant put down the metal basket under the dough rounder no matter how I click
-When you reset the game like back to main menu/desktop because of the bug the whole game just messes up, Lost one pan of bread in the Oven after reset and needed to do that again. Another is even when I completed the order 10/10 and put it on the blue mat after reset it became 7/10, lost a lot of time cus of it.
-Blocked road, how am I suppose to deliver orders when all the roads leading to the delivery bakery/cafe is closed and I cant access it
-Sends me back to the tier 1 workshop, needed to reset it by skipping the day, resetting the game or finishing one order and starting a new day but its annoying.
-Trays clipping to the floor after reset or going full on invisible, You can only see it if you hover your mouse over it.
-Cant click objects
-Not a bug but why cant you re-use muffin/loaf pans after being used? I need to throw it away and buy new ones for the next order, its such a waste
-Also the eggs in Bakery tier 1 and tier 2 I actually need to do math just to get how many pieces of eggs I need to use, ml for eggs is fine if tier 3 is unlocked but on tier 1 and 2 its just a headache
It's a nice and cute play. Although it has given me a new irritation for making bagels and pretzels, I love the game and def recommend. BUT! It's super easy to underestimate the time needed for certain things like making BAGELS in the SLOWEST possible way and forgetting to put the donuts in the box as they get flipped, so there's challenges too.
Badly optimised, no matter how hard you try and adjust the settings it just endlessly struggles without juttery frame rates. Aside the stuttering, the game frequently has issues with the controls not doing as intended. The "Instant Delivery" option when you highlight a product on order doesn't work! At all!
My latest issue, which caused me to actually uninstall was the fact that every time I went to retrieve the dough from the mixer, UE4 crashed. I have played countless games which higher visual and hardware demands and have had zero crashes. Other games running on UE4 haven't had these issues.
Yet this game loves to randomly crash, freeze, stutter and just simply — not work! I'm lucky I got this in a sale, and I'm only out £1.21 but if you paid full price, don't bother keeping the game in your library. Get the refund. If you're thinking of buying this game, DON'T.
Developers really need to focus on everything that isn't working and fix it, before you even consider spending your hard earned money on this.
You don't want this game. There are a lot of bugs which you run into at the very start in the tutorial. Press the key it tells you to nothing happens...This bug will continue to haunt your game play non stop in both parts. The game is so disconnecting switching between driving and baking with loading screens in between each switch...like why? Give me a sell window so I can just Bake or a store front to sell my items not a poorly constructed pointless driving/delivery system.
This game hit the target but missed the bullseye by a lot. In other words, they would only get a participation trophy if it was a competition. 3/10
Instructions unclear
There's a lot of bug in this game. Once you finished all of the upgrade and contents, there has no challenging at all. Anyway, I still have no idea why they add the delivery scene to the game, but no adding more content. It doesn't make any sense. 🥲
Can't even get the game to run.
