Fairly bad, in the same ways as the other titles from this developer. They made Gleam, Ruins, Woods, and Cabin escape rooms games. Cabin was excellent, but all the others are too dark, the physics are dog shit, it runs bad, and is obscured through think Unreal Engine TSAA fog. The setting (hanging in a cage in the top of a forest) is pretty novel, but you can't get immersed when everything is so slow and 'soupy'. You can see they have alot of ambition, but really need to learn how to use the engine. It's probably worth a few dollars, but maybe not 5, although that is a fair price as well, so if you like escape room games, you might eventually still get this, but don't get your hopes up.

Very badly designed puzzles that last from 15-20 minutes to solve. This shoud be free. This is a joke not a game. Don't bother.
Played on HTC Vive/GTX1060.
Played it twice as I thought one puzzle was bugged and didn't let me do it, but it just turned out I didn't understand what to do the first time. Just like I didn't understand the first major puzzle.. I think I played it through in actually about 15-20 minutes, if you are smarter than me and see through the puzzles you might even make it within 10 minutes..
The puzzles are pretty kinda interesting, but with my system it just didn't seem to run really fluient, looked like some reprojection and sometimes the whole visual just turned 'blue' for a moment. Visually it looks pretty good, but as with a lot of VR games it's still a shame stuff just goes through everything like some paper half through the body/cage etc.
I bought the game with a reduction because I also bought submerged and already had some others, I think it came out at about 2,5 euro's.. Even at that price I think it's a bit short, as the last room seems to have been setup to have more puzzles, and the ending is a bit unexpected (as I expected a few more puzzles in that room).
But it's still a pretty solid escape room game, so I'll give it a tumbs up, but a marginal thumbs up..
I'll admit it, I love this VR escape room series, and this has to be up there as one of my favourites (maybe tying with The Cabin). Well worth the £2.99 I paid to extend my game bundle of include this one.
There isn't much more to say about this game that A Wolf in VR hasn't already said in their review.
The beginning of the game when you are in the cage is great and sets a good atmosphere for the game, but doesn't last for very long. I felt the graphics were good but it was a little too dark in some places. There is no settings menu or way to adjust brightness.
There isn't a menu so there is no way to quit this game while you are playing (other than forcing Steam to quit the application) nor is there any way to save, but that won't matter because the game is very short.
Depending on what you count as a "puzzle", there are about 6-7 "puzzles" to figure out and they are all pretty simple. Some of them involve throwing objects, and if you have played any VR games with throwing you know that if it is done poorly it is frustrating. This isn't done poorly but it also doesn't feel very natural. My biggest complaint about the puzzles is how linear they are. The game has forced movement so you are basically whisked from one puzzle to the next, so you only ever need to solve the one puzzle in front of you and you have exactly the tools you need to solve just that.
When it got to the end of the escape I was confused because I expected more to the game. I don't have any major complaints about the puzzles, but unless you're getting this game in a bundle where it is $1-$2, the experience is so short you're probably going to be disappointed.
I am strictly against refunding games because of length. This game is so short you could play it 20 times and still refund it. I would only ever refund a game for technical reasons, such as it not working. But I played it, and I did complete it. I just wanted more of it.
The only options for hands are white male. Given the target demographic for VR ownership that seems like a pretty sage gamble but also seems pretty non-inclusive. I can see that ruining some immersion for some players.

Here's the basics:
- Short, can beat it in about 20 minutes
- Really cool environment in the first few sections, but can cause slowdown with all the foliage and effects
- You leave that cool environment for a boring cave quickly
- The main mechanic in the cave section is clunky and doesn't feel good
- Nothing to difficult, just frustrating at parts
If the first section was the basis for the game, I'd be down to recommend. But the bulk is spent in a cave with lame mechanics. That, plus a really short amount of content, means I can't recommend it.
Q/A I have been been in this cage every day since I purchase this game. Is there a way out? I been on youtube looking for a video for answers....

Looks great, but doesn't make a massive amount of narrative sense. Also, I completed this in 20 minutes.
I had high hopes for this game, given that previous ones from the same author have been pretty good, but unfortunately it seems to have been released in a very buggy state indeed.
In the first scene, I used the knife in what turned out to be the correct way, several times, but nothing happened, so I gave up on that idea and spent time trying to open the bag, search the body, open the panel, find more items, all unsuccessfully. Finally out of desperation, I tried the knife once again on the one item it does work on, and this time it worked.
The next stage was straight forward, but then in the room after that with the moving pillars, I think the game broke. I had figured out the mechanics of moving the little orbs around to where I could get them, but on the part where you have to press the button to get them to drop, the button stopped doing anything after a while... at that point there was nothing left to do but quit the game.
I also note other bugs
The green gems in the grid that move the pillars resulted in animation glitches, with the pillars jumping from position to position without animating.
The gems move without needing to be gripped - this meant that I was moving them unknowingly when standing next to the panel.
The first time I started the game the frame rate was terrible and there was no sound. Killing it and restarting resolved this.
I'm so confused. I have taken to the internet to find out if this game is really only 10 minutes long or if I'm missing something.
First time booting it up i got stuck on the second scene. I probably spent 20 minutes searching through everything to see what I was missing. I decided that something must be wrong, so I restarted the game and sure enough there were significant key items that never loaded the first time around.
The actual game took probably 10 minutes tops, then the screen went white for another 2 minutes before the "You escaped" showed up. Very very confused if that was the full game or I just glitched to the end or something.
At least it was cheap...
Good price for a decent puzzle game. There are multiple "rooms". I'm currently stuck in the cavern room. The environments are very well done, and the immersion is quite good. I don't know how long the game is, but since I bought it on sale, what I've seen so far makes me recommend it. Even though I'm not a big fan of puzzle games, I like it for the experience of the creepy (but not very scary) settings.
