It's pretty bad but it was only £0.44 so I won't refund it. The English translations are laughably bad.

I don't have the slightest idea about what's going on in this 20gb disk-space game.
There are some guys with tracksuits and crowbars, then police cars show up with drones and everybody starts fighting. There's also something about Navalny but it's impossible to understand as the english is really really bad. I think even chatgpt could make a much better translation.

Sry, even today, impossible to play.

It's far from being a good Singleplayer Open World FPS Game.

Altough gun play is fun and the enemies are interesting there is broken English which is literally translated from word to word in Russian which can be excusable but It won't excuse zero indication what you should do and the game being filled with so many glitches and bugs to the point you start laughing.

It's broken and It needs to be more polished.

Now, I love bad games. I have always had a passion for them, but I cannot recommend this game as it's honestly just a mess of broken mechanics and russian without translation, and what *is* translated, might as well *not* be because it's so nonsensical. You play Vlad, and you're (I think) trying to find and kill the head of a company that has taken over the local cities and towns. You find weird zombie things that you believe the company is creating, and you decide to go stop him. I also think you're part of a gang, which doesn't help with anything. You can hire gangmates but they're honestly useless.

To say how the game doesn't work, the gun merchant, doesn't sell you guns. Like, you can spend the money on a gun, but the gun isn't given to you. So I don't know how you're supposed to get the RPG or the Sniper rifle, as none of the NPC's carry them which is the only way you can get them in the game. You can also buy new cars, but I don't know why you'd want to do that as the game's world is really small with only three cities, and the experience is two hours long.

It being short isn't a bad thing, but why is this two hour game *twenty* gigabytes big when there is practically nothing here. I guess that's just how UE4 is. This feels like someones first game, and it probably is, which is why I'm not recommending it. The developer probably wont understand what I'm typing because his translating skills are *awful* seeing as how the game's dialogue and questing is so poorly worded it's hilarious. This isn't even good for a laugh, not even for the 70 cents I payed for it. It's just not worth it, move along and find something else.

Well... it was less then a dollar, so I got what I paid for. I wouldn't buy this game if it was more then that. Postal is a much better option.

Great concept! But terrible execution! I just cannot be bothered anymore trying to win the game in one play through, as the save game corrupts after a few loads and then forces you to start a new game.
I can't complain too much, as the game was practically free, but still its not worth your time either and that to me is more valuable than money these days. With that in mind, I cannot give this one the thumbs up.

So yes the game is in early access and yes it has only just been released, but in it's current state it impossible to recommend.

So many bugs and glitches, as well as ugly graphics. From getting stuck in the scenery to awful loading times. I honestly don't see a game of this scope getting completed and being made playable any time soon. To make matters worse your 'missions' are written in very badly translated Russian, and there are no indicators telling you where to go. That is not a problem in a linear game like HL2 - but t is not so great here.

On the upside the game does have some nice animations, and effective audio.

And the Dev is not joking about being inspired by half life 2.

As ever if the game does become more stable and has more engaging content added then I will come back and update my review, but for now I would only buy it on a sale. I

This game is a lot better than Half Life series. Awesome open world, beautiful graphics, interesting quests and pretty good translation. But i have only one problem with this game. Why when I want to buy a new gun and i pay gun-seller, he doesn't give me anything.

Even for early access this game is riddled with one too many bugs at the moment to even be considered playable. Lowest graphics look like pure trash,but any computer still takes ages to load it up it feels. You seem to walk through or even fall through 90% of the map. Most of the objects are just floating in mid-air. If you get flashed by too many drones at one time rest in piece your ears cause they will blow out your speakers like no tomorrow. The game looked interesting when I was browsing games on sale,so I decided to check it out. Main stuff I enjoyed was the main menu screen and the awful russian to english translations. Despite that,the game has currently too many negatives to even consider recommending it,hopefully the dev can fix these issues later on and make it worth playing. It looks decently interesting enough at least to consider coming back after a massive update.

In ten minutes of gameplay the game crashed twice on me ... And when I finally got somewhere , I fell trough the map.

But hey since it's early access give it a few years, it might improve...

Very funny and random game but glitchy as hell - for the budget very understandable.
Had a rush of excitement and horror when punks were chasing me with assault rifles to the woods, where they would start an armed battle with the police and skinheads. Simply amazing.
Unfortunately kind of unplayable, a lot of technical issues and bugs all over.
Loaded saves continue games very strange after death, continuing from what happened when you died even though it should start from the same situation as when it was saved.

Absolutely unbearable to play. Walls and stairs that dont render, Conversations that are fragmented parts of the English language just thrown together, for the most part, and not to mention the fact that you walk through half the environment. i can forgive the language bit, but its gotta be followable, at the very least. i truly wanted to give this a try, but not even 30 mins in and the bugs riddled throughout have me going nuts. definite pass until theres some serious overhaul done.

At it's actual stage, this game is far from being good.
The animations are very clumsy, the graphics are very low-poly and poor detailled.
It's Unreal 4 engine, so the player may expect much more detailled props, e.g. a TV is just a Box with another Rectangled mesh on it as display.
The NPC look very loveless designed, they could look much better!
The AI is actually very poor.
Intro scene: Two cars are FLYING or whatever from somewhere into the scene, next: 8 NPC appeared from nowhere, standing around these cars.
NPC walking against walls, sitting upside-down on banks etc...
Animations need most improvements here.
I like the game idea, and I hope, the developers will change the meshes, animations and other missing details.

I will edit my review when the devs can persuade me with a better game feeling in the future.
I know, it's early access.

At this stage, sorry, thumb is down. The game quality is still very poor, please improve it!

A Far Cry From Far Cry: Fight The Performance!

Who Will Like It : Those appreciate open world games like Far Cry, have random senses of humor, and those who enjoy Russian-themed settings.

Who Won't Like It : Those who desire stable performance, can't decipher broken English subtitles, or are easily offended.


V.L.A.D.i.K is an absolute mess, but one that I definitely enjoyed during my play session. It is riddled with bugs, glitches, and broken gameplay mechanics that make it almost unplayable. The experience is equivalent of a circus held together by duct tape.

The Good:

1. The story (from what I can translate) is a good excuse to explore the open world. Think Far Cry in Russia.

2. The randomness is absolutely hysterical. Gang members and cops beating up drones, dogs, and each other for no apparent reason. Enemies drop loaves of bread for health recovery. Zombies and Nazis appear within 5 minutes of each other.

3. Sound effects are great. There is plenty of interesting audio to keep things fresh throughout.

The Bad:

1. Very unstable performance. Game crashes to desktop, freezes, and fails to progress past loading screens often.

2. Item pickups mostly don't work at all. Instead of ammo being picked up, 90% of the time it won't register. You'll often have to drop your gun and pick up the same one from a different enemy.

3. Objectives aren't clearly marked. You have a map that lists important locations, but where to go when you get there is confusing.

4. Translation is terrible. Not a problem for those who speak Russian, but the English text is very difficult to piece together.

5. If the graphics aren't on the highest setting, the textures look like smeared mud.

The Current Verdict:

V.L.A.D.i.K needs work for sure, but the foundation is amazing. When everything here is polished, it will be a hilarious, random, and unique take on the burned out open world genre. In my two hours, I had more fun than Far Cry 5. Keep this on your radar and see where it goes!

OMG THE POTENTIAL IS INSANE !!!!

you guy's played POSTAL 2 ? OMG what a classic.

The developper took inspiration from POSTAL games, its a City Sandbox Story Mayhem FPS.

Game is still in early alpha but really fun already.

OK here we go :

Positive :
-Old school gameplay, old school FPS gameplay that is, nothing fancy, just plain old school
-Atmosphere, can be even better if the devs adds a background atmosphere music like in postal 2, very discret
-Great optimisation, Unreal 4
-Already some good ideas in, like cars, gun reselllers, even wolves who attack pedestrians LOL
-The game feels like in eastern europe, orthodoxe church, russian writing allover

To improve :
-Make a bigger open world with more interaction, more buildings you can enter, more stuff to do and interact with.
-Add funny and crazy weapons like a dildo shotgun or a nuclear bomb rocket, like in postal 2
-Add satire humor like in postal 2, dark humor, i love dark humor

Bugs :
-When u die u cant go back to menu.
