The game is colorful, I really liked it, I will definitely buy one for my mother.

If you want a straightforward, pretty old-school M3 game without too many minigames, the 100 or so levels here might be what you're looking for. There aren't many M3s with voiced-over scenes and an interesting story anymore. Every level is a single room of clearing all the tiles and usually, but not always, gathering enough of a certain item to unlock or otherwise remove a target item. Late in the game, conveyor belts moving playing pieces around and objects which need to be dropped off the bottom appear.
Most of the game is the swap M3 style, but there are several levels interspersed in which you play chain-to-match M3 or "group" M3 where you click on a cluster of 3 or more of the same. The further you go along, the more gods you'll meet in your adventure who will enable more powerups which charge by clicking on the associated powerup piece until the powerup at the bottom is enabled. Some of these powerups are pretty typical (line or column clearers, remove all of one tile type), but there's an X-shaped pattern clearer and a star-shaped pattern clearer. Making M5s or bigger gives you a yellow bomb, which you can trigger with the usual double-clicking, or you can single click it to swap the bomb to another spot on the board, which I really liked. You can't play the game without the powerups, as the levels are designed such that you can't get everything cleared out with matches alone, so most of the "strategy" is clicking on the powerup pieces and using whichever powerups are enabled for that level to get through, making this a "blow your way out of it" game which can be gotten through really quickly. Not a lot of minigames...there were only a couple of HOS and a few random simple puzzles here and there.
Although Steam has had the game for only a few years, I think it's considerably older as the graphics don't look good on large monitors or in fullscreen. The town to build in between levels looks rather ho-hum too, but something great about it is you can sell your completed buildings and reconstruct "upgraded" ones at any time which I haven't seen in other M3s. The silver double-match tiles are tragically too similar in color to the playfield background, often creating situations where you've got that one last silver tile hiding in plain sight somewhere. Also experienced a weird game crash out of the blue which didn't quit the game entirely (I had to tell Steam to stop running the game) but was able to keep going on afterwards to finish the game. At one point about halfway through the story, the voiceover dialog was bugged out to where it was repeating the previous chapter's story. Very short playing time if you're good at M3s as I finished it on the hardest difficulty in five and a half hours, but it's an OK game for buying on sale because the mechanics are different enough to make the game interesting.
Nice game, varied and not too difficult. For a bit of a challenge, I recommend playing on the highest difficulty.
