If you LOVE Solitaire games, then you gotta get the one about LOVE
LOVE!!
You like solitaire ✔ You like the color pink ✔ You want to play a game to unwind ✔
If these apply to you, this game is for you. Landscapes are quite beautiful, and I somehow enjoyed this more than the Twilight one. It also has a bonus Mahjong game with a Valentine's theme. You can change the deck style and difficulty just as the games before.
🌺🌸🌺
That being said, if you're patient enough, you can easily achieve a perfect game too.
Good solitaire in the usual appearance. You just know you're getting quality. Sufficient levels for normal, relaxed or difficult gameplay. The usual +1/-1 style of play, plus additional mah jong games as a bonus. It is rated according to the three-star system, after which the bonuses are also earned. Gems unlock scenes that can also be used as wallpaper. All in all, an all-round relaxing gaming experience. I recommend buying in the sale, but also appropriate at full price for the duration of the game.
And some cookies?
Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup raisins
1 cup coarsely chopped fresh or frozen cranberries
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
1 package (10 to 12 ounces) white baking chips
Directions
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; add to the creamed mixture. Stir in the oats, raisins, cranberries and orange zest. Stir in baking chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° until the edges are lightly browned, 10-12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
Wonderful game with beautiful scenes to complete.
This version of solitaire is the match-one-up-one-down style (eg 7s go on 8s or 6s, and you build a chain).
This game has almost exactly the same features as Jewel Match Solitaire, it is a solid addition to your solitaire collection.
Wonderful game, very enjoyable, would definitely recommend.
I love this company's solitaire games. I high recommend it for anyone who needs to relax for a bit. Took me about 14 hours to get all of the achievements. But looks like not enough people play it so it won't count as a perfect game...sad times. More people need to play!
I've been playing Jewel Solitaire Winterscapes, but now that it's spring, I've switched to this game. Really more of the same, exactly as I hoped!
Soothing music & sound effects, awesome mini games of Mahjong in the middle to add something different to the mix. Perfect for playing a few hands before bedtime to relax. If you enjoy playing a solitaire game to suit the awakening of the spring season, there is no better choice than L'Amour!
Such fun and colorful games that keep your brain from thinking and just clicking! All of these games are enjoyable and I keep collecting them... So that I can play even more of them!
THANK YOUS! :3 :) =)
These solitaire games are much different than Klondike and Free Cell, and gives me something completely new from the card games that I played in the past. I have played for more than an hour so far, and the game seems really enjoyable and has nice graphics. I only purchased a couple of the Jewel Match games because they all look like they are fairly similar. I don't see the point of buying ten different games that are almost exactly the same.
jewel match solitaire is a long-running card game series, offering the usual +1/-1 gameplay in various settings, the usual power-ups and decoration/upgrade elements. bonus stuff is what makes them stand out, even if each game in the series is just a reskin of the others, as is customary with solitaires, no matter the developer. my reviews for them are also pretty similar to each other.
this particular iteration offers 200 lovey-dovey levels with the usual 3-star rating system, and there are 5 scenes to assemble as well. it's just as involved (so not really) as in other games: get hearts from the levels, unlock a random part, when all done, move on to the next. each scene has to be completed within 40 levels, but there are more hearts than necessary, and of course levels can be replayed if you missed some. this time the map is the default screen after a level, the scene only comes up if you have enough hearts, which is great, except clicking 'play' on the scene screen goes back to the map instead of starting the next level. can't win 'em all...
the 3 difficulty settings offer wildly different experiences. relaxed allows more than one deal, but even there a star is taken away if you need more than one run through the deck. always completable but not necessarily for 3 stars. normal operates with a single deal, as is customary, and hard adds a timer to speed up your card-picking decisions, which is like adding a timer to... well, anything, but if there's a game that doesn't need a ticking clock... well, it's every game, but solitaire especially. difficulty settings can be changed anytime and simply 'solving' a level unlocks the next, don't need a single star to continue.
power-ups are bought with gold and come in the usual variety, including wildcards and jokers that can also be found randomly. replaying levels, getting achievements and playing bonus games also award gold, and most power-ups can be upgraded to become more beneficial. it isn't clear from the descriptions, but only wildcards and jokers are consumables, the rest are either passive or a certain number per level. gold display is still buggy, spending some doesn't change the value on the map until you visit the castle screen or play another level.
so far so every solitaire ever and there are no extra card variants, like in the first jewel match solitaire, but you can play 50 mahjong levels for some reason. I mean it's nice and I like mahjong, but if I sit down for solitaire, I'm not really interested in unrelated bonus or mini-games, plus 50 layouts aren't enough if you only want to play mahjong. not to mention they are unlocked in batches with stars from card levels and you pretty much need to finish the game to get access to the last few. the tileset is pretty bad too, but that's more subjective.
mahjong has undo, shuffle and a show free tiles toggle, plus rules, tips and a hint button, and instead of an instant game over, running out of moves lets you shuffle as well. too bad it doesn't always produce matches and still no toggle for the timer, you'll always see a ticking clock in the corner, whether you care about high scores or not.
the predictably syrupy presentation is hard to stomach (scenes still look nice), especially with the really shiny effect on one of the card sets (the other is 'just' ugly with that font and no margins), the just as bad heart-shaped fireworks after every level and the repetitive music resetting with every level restart. there are separate volume settings (unlocking parts of scenes is much louder than anything else, another annoyance), windowed mode (non-resizable), widescreen toggle, custom cursor and a bunch of card backs and fronts are available, plus there's an optional tutorial and wallpapers. unfortunately, settings aren't available while playing mahjong, have to go back to the menu to change anything.
as always, aside from the awkward menu navigation, ugly card faces, annoying music and bouncing victory screen with unskippable fireworks, buggy levels, gold display and unresponsive wand power-up (have to click twice to activate it), it's a decent card game with enough content, but due to the heavy-handed theme it's only recommendable for lovebirds. and since no collector's edition exists, nobody has to double-dip for largely the same thing. let's hope it stays that way.
If you're not looking for anything revolutionary and just want a themed solitaire game where you know exactly what you're going to get, this or any of the other Jewel Match Solitaire games are always a safe bet. They've found their niche, and the games consistently deliver exactly what they say they will with no bugs or glitches or anything. Just pick your favorite aesthetic and away you go. They aren't my favorite thing ever, but they're kind of like comfort food I go back to every now and then when I'm in the right sort of mood, and they're very reliable.
Also somehow they found a way to make solitaire exclusively heterosexual? So that's a thing. At least it runs perfectly on Linux through Proton, just like all their other games.
Alright, this is the third Jewel Match Solitaire game I've played, and I think if you've played any of them you know what to expect: a slick and intuitive solitaire experience. The music, cards and backgrounds were good, if a little bright. However, I must admit I prefer WInterscapes, as the bonus games there were solitaire variations, not mahjong tile matching (which isn't really my bag) (and I liked the music better in that one, too). That said, this seemed less frustrating than other iterations in the late game, or maybe I'm just getting the hang of it.
Bottom line: If you like solitaire, just wait for a sale and pick up one of these - or a bundle of three. But to be honest, now three games into the series, I think this will be my last game for awhile.
Classic solitaire game in which you collect gems to build romantic scenes. This was my introduction to the Jewel Match Solitaire series and I really enjoyed it. For the price, you have a plethora of levels to go through, and if you like Mahjong too, you get a lot of bonus levels of it to play too. I didn't finish those but with just playing and replaying the solitaire to get all the stars, I have over ten hours in the game which is pretty great for the price (especially if you get it discounted).
My main (and probably the only) issue is the graphics. While the whole pink/Valentine's day aesthetic is truly an acquired taste, I didn't really care about how pretty or ugly the game is. My issue is that everything is way too bright and if you are sensitive to bright saturated screens you can't play this for too long. It's really straining to the eye. The glint in the original set of cards is also pretty unfortunate because it's hard to read at times (but you can change that in the options and have sadly more boring design of the cards you play but at least you can clearly see the numbers). You can adjust both the front and back design of the cards, and it's possible to change separately ambient, music, and general sound volume.
But overall, I liked the game itself, I enjoyed the element of putting the scenery together because it kept me wanting to play *just one more level*. Nothing groundbreaking but making the classic game a tad bit more fun.
if you can bear, or enjoy even, an overload of kitschy sweetness & romance, then this game delivers. a good soothing game in times of hardship.
This game is wonderful.
Amazing instrumental music and soft pastel colors allow you to relax and temporarily forget about all the problems by immersing yourself into this beautiful romantic world.
I'm not a fan of card games. But I really like this game.
I had a serious problem, the game was constantly crashing on startup. And judging by the fact that this happens for the first time, this is a developer error. And it seems that at least because of this very disappointing fact, my review should be negative, but it won't be so. Because the magical atmosphere of this game covers all the disadvantages and makes the process of finding and fixing the problem worthwhile.

I'm serious.
Most often, even AAA projects cannot affect the mood in such a good way. I could easily call this game therapeutic. For an extremely low price, you get a simple game that you really want to play. I recommend at least trying it out, it's a diamond and I'm really sorry that this game is so unpopular

The Game Review
Game Visuals
I want to mention that the visuals in the game are nicely done. The visuals can be adjusted in the game's option menu.
Game Audio
I want to mention that the audio in the game is well done even if it is simplistic and somewhat repetitive.
Gameplay
There are three different game difficulty modes to choose from: Normal; Hard and Relaxed.
This is a solitaire card game. The objective for this game is to clear all cards from the screen. There are special bonuses that can be used to help completing the level a bit faster. However, these special bonuses need to be purchased from the shop with coins. The coins are earned from playing the game. Asides from earning coins, there are green gems, to be earned from playing the game as well. The green gems are used to build various castles.
The bonus game levels are a variety of mahjong games. These bonus mahjong games are all locked. All required a certain amount of stars earned in order to unlock them.
There are twenty-four different achievements to unlock from playing the game. Each of these achievements does come with some requirements that need to be completed before they can be unlocked.
Miscellaneous
There are extra features in the game: Bonus Mahjong Games and Wallpapers. This feature requires the game to be somewhat completed in order to gain access to them.
Final thoughts: I have found the game enjoyable to a certain extent. The replay value for this game is low. I would recommend this game but not at the game's full price value.
Love the game, the music and the scenery. However, I prefer to use plain cards when I play games like this. I think the flowers on the lower number cards throw me off and hurts my eyes.
Thank god you only need to win 10 rounds of Mahjong for that achievement, or I would go insane.
This is a great Solitaire game. Really. Try it.
Suricate Software's other Solitaire games all have similar play styles. Which is a good thing. But this one has really attractive visuals and very good music, making it the best one so far.
My lazy review to max my steam game nomination badge. :p
If you enjoy solitaire games, I highly recommend this one. Each new hand earns you coins to use at the upgrade shop and gems you use to create absolutely breathtaking landscapes. In fact, even though I 100%ed this game, I think I need to play it again.
Do you love flowers, solitaire games, and the color pink? Then this is the game for you! Oh, I forgot: do you love easy achievements? Yes all this and more is in Jewel Match Solitaire L'Amour.
The game mechanics are the same as in the other Jewel Match games, the only difference being the graphics and music. For those who have never played a Jewel Match Solitaire game here is a quick primer. The top portion of the screen is full of cards covering each other in various fancy ways, later including frozen cards that have to be matched twice, vine-wrapped cards that need a scythe to clear the vines away, etc. The bottom shows your deck and the first card. You have to match cards by going up and down until you can't anymore, such as one, two, three, four, three, two, three, four, five, six. A run that long will give you bonus added to your calculator for money you get at the end of the level. Sometimes You can only match one or two cards. Sometmes you have to keep clicking through your deck until you find a card you can match. Eventually you earn enough money to buy helpful items such as one that clears a random face card, or one that adds more cards to your deck. Those can be bought from the Store any time. You choose what order you want to buy the upgrades. Levels can be replayed over and over again for those who want to get perfect scores. Once you have uncovered enough Jewels you use those to buy building pieces to complete your scene. In this game a lot of the building pieces are actually flower beds and arrangements rather than walls for a building.
Music is lovely. Sound effects are fine.
Graphics. Fine. Most players of this type of game are not expecting AAA game level graphics, they just want to play solitaire!
Achievements: Easy to 100%. You get all achievments before you even complete the game! Some are as easy as "Watch the game's credits".
Overall: a fun Solitaire game with lots of hearts and flowers.
Awesome solitaire game. The more levels you open up, you unlock bonus games like Mahjong and other solitaire games. Well worth the price. Two thumbs way up. I love the Valentine theme of the game.
This is every bit as good as the other Jewel Match games! Has similar mechanics as the other ones. It's like a re-skin with different layouts and graphics ... the other ones were sooo good that it's okay. This is one of the better solitaire series.
