i love flash
After replaying this solo to 100% completion, I can now say I appreciate this a little more than when I first played it. Difficulty-wise, I found this way easier than some of the previous entries I 100% completed. Instead of just simply stating how the levels were, I'll just go through which temples I liked the most to least.
Crystal Temple was by far my favorite temple out of the entire game to play. The portals have always been my favorite mechanic out of all of the other temples, so it was a no-brainer for me to immediately adore it. The level design is also worthy of praise as it's the most interesting to look at and play. Level 5 having that loop setup to toggle the portals on/off was an interesting concept and I wish it can be used more if a new temple were to come out. My actual favorite level would have to go to Level 8, peak FB&WG IMO.
The three new temples were overall pretty great additions. I liked Wind Temple more than the rest because it was overall pretty easy, and the amount of fans used reminded me of the OG Forest Temple, which kind of elevated my experience way more. Also, fans are fun to use if you know what you're doing.
Fire Temple is somewhere in the middle in terms of my enjoyment with only one level I really disliked, and it's Level 4. I don't get why that needed to be so excessively difficult with all the hanging platforms.
Water Temple is dead last for the single fact that it has the most levels that I disliked, which is really only two: Levels 5 and 7. For the love of God, I could not understand how to do Level 5 fast enough for a while until I eventually figured it out.
Ice Temple in this was definitely more bearable than its original counterpart, which I'll just say is the WORST temple gameplay-wise, and you could not convince me otherwise. Not even a second run on it did much to change my stance, but that's beyond the scope of this review. Back to this, it has some actually fun levels for once that don't feel like I'm shoving an icicle up my ass and having to wait for it to melt.
Forest Temple was ok, but it felt like an honest downgrade compared to the original. It had some really annoying levels like Levels 7, 9, and 10. 7 especially pissed me off the most, but that's really on me for trying to beat this game solo.
Light Temple is straight-up cheeks. I can't remember a single moment a level (aside from the tutorial) either didn't bore me to death or just pissed me off, it was either one or both. This temple has some of the most boring and annoying levels I've ever played from this series, and that can be attributed to my least favorite mechanic: the light. This mechanic is SO goddamn annoying to work with in every way you interact with it, whether it's using those extremely sensitive sliders or just moving those mirror boxes. This game is solely responsible now for my newfound hatred for this temple in general, not just in this version.
Now for some general gripes I have. About the achievement, it sucks that it doesn't work without having to cheat it in. And another thing, this is technically the only game in the series (as of writing this) to not have speed levels, which is weird because some levels feel like they should be categorized as such but aren't. The camera is also kind of annoying sometimes because it sometimes blocks my way, and zooming out doesn't do much as it only works temporarily before the camera recalibrates back to where it was.
Overall, As a long-time fan of this series, this was a great way to continue the series, but it just doesn't hold as much of a candle compared to the other games, but I'd still put this above Fairy Tales.
i miss a FLASH PLAYER
Just yes.
Another game of our childhood is completed. It was a pleasure to revisit this legend among browser games, especially with the friend I used to play it with on the same computer back in the day.
What can I say? Of course, this isn’t the exact version we played in the browser, but the gameplay and visuals remain the same. We completed both parts available on Steam at 100%. The puzzles aren’t difficult, after all, it’s a game for kids, but I don’t regret the time spent.
If you’re an OLD like us, we recommend you give this game a try with a friend as well.
I loved the original and this one's just as good 👍

Can the fps sync issue be fixed, please? I see it's been an issue for years now. I don't have the ability to change the fps on my monitor so I would only be able to play this game on another device or monitor for the characters to not move abnormally slowly.
Peak game but runs very slow on 144 hz
My childhood and many others too. One day when I'm old, I'll show my grand kids Fire Boy & Water Girl along side Gangnam Style, two of the greatest things to come from the 2010's. If I don't have grand kids, I'll reinstate Fire Boy & Water Girl into the school curriculum so that future generations shall know of its greatness...
On a real note though, I used to play the browser version of this game all the time with my sister, and it was honestly the bestest time everrr. It's such a treat to revisit the awesomeness, so cheers to dat :)
It was not as much of a masterpiece as it seemed to me as a child, but it was nice to reminisce. I do not regret the hours I spent unlocking childhood memories.
