Lifeslide may seem like a casual, relaxing game but under the serene visuals hides a flight mechanic that requires skill. A lot of skill. Prepare to fail and retry multiple times in the beginning. Learn how to gather and preserve your momentum, use the terrain to your advantage and react quickly. For those who get the hang of it, a beautiful and satisfying experience awaits.
Gameplay
Up, Down, Left, Right - is all that's needed to fly a paper plane. Beneath the simple controls, however is a blend between physics and arcade gameplay that will get under your skin as you get better. Every time you fail, you can improve your plane's performance.
Story
Lifeslide is a story about life. Who's life and what it means we are leaving to you. Everything is implicitly told through the environments. Dive deep to find your meaning or simply enjoy an atmospheric experience - this is your journey and you decide what to make of it. Along the way, an original score that combines electronic, rock and orchestral elements will keep you company.
Competitive play
Don't believe that this game can get competitive? Each week a new challenge emerges, requiring players to fly fast and close to objects. How fast you can fly depends only on your skill. Lifeslide also has a speedrun mode with leaderboards.
Zen Mode
Revisit your favorite moments in an endless loop. Toggle randomization to get new experiences unseen in Story. This mode is for those who are looking to drift off and relax without pressure.
Passionate Community
Lifeslide has a small but passionate community which is always ready for a challenge.

This game has the soul of a 2007 Newgrounds game and I don't think thats a positive thing in this case. With all due respect, there's something bizarrely annoying about it but I can't really tell what. I don't know if it was the vaguely inspirational faux-deep vibe or the irritating music but there's just something wrong with this game.
Perfect SteamDeck game. I would have as much fun on my main rig as well tho, underrated af.
Barely recommended. On paper, I like very much the concept but the finished product has too many problems resulting in a tedious experience.
IMHO, there are bad designs choices (some curiously inspired by mobile game design even though this game hasn't released on iOS/Android) :
- many of the upgrades are disappointing
- especially annoying, the integrity upgrade is much too inefficient
- the balancing of some planes is quite bad ; difficult to believe the displayed characteristics
- the momentum is very weirdly managed ; intuitively, you'll believe that the green powerups restore it but it's not really the case.
- worse, from one level to another, the consumption of the momentum is different !
- too much stressful considerations : decreasing timer, grabbing yellow powder, grabbing blue powder, grabbing power-ups, manage momentum, precisely adjust trajectory, avoid stalling maneuvers, etc.
- no difficulty setting
On the positive side :
- nice levels
- the piloting is challenging
- multiple play modes
Conclusion: This could have been a nice flying game (like Superflight) but it failed by a desire to put some unneeded difficulty and extend artificially the playtime.
An absolutely wonderful little gem of a game. The plane feels amazing to control. There's just enough variety and upgrades to keep gameplay from becoming too repetitive. The music and art style and overall experience are just amazing. It's the perfect length too, with story mode taking me about 2 hours to beat, plus the endless mode that I'll definitely be coming back to occasionally. 100% recommend this as a "lazy Saturday afternoon" kind of game.
I was ready to enjoy a nice cozy afternoon with Lifeslide, and while the visual presentation has a loving amount of flair and whimsy put into it, the game is well optimized and has a genuinely serene soundscape, I felt like the reasons for my flights failing were confusing. Some additional HUD elements to indicate speed and if I was close enough to the ground to be gaining any, could have been nice, even as a toggle in the options menu of the game. Additionally, I felt that the collectathon element of upgrading your plane and finding additional plane parts everywhere was largely unexciting and padded the experience.
I wanted to serenely glide around, but ended up just crashing every few minutes and trying to manage a strict gem economy for upgrades, as if I were buying upgrades in a Roguelite after a run.
You’d expect an easy, melancholy experience from the theme but there is a skill to keeping afloat. 16 short stages and a lively soundtrack. Unlockable paper aeroplanes and upgradable aerodynamics. A few hours will fly by.
Very fun, very nice looking.
Cheaper than a therapist but gives about the same mental health buff

This game is an absolute treasure and enjoy every play through like it's my first! Everything from the graphics, to game play, to the soundtrack is a masterpiece.
You are a paper plane ducking and weaving your way through an obstacle course. Its short, but I had fun.
Fun relaxing lil game
Chilled and challenging
I remember meeting the developers at a Sofia Game Night when they presented the game way before launch. Really awesome people and the game is pure joy. I feel bad for missing it on launch. Really awesome game and it's even better when it's Deck Verified!
Yez. Mitko's the best <з
A short flying game hugely padded out through collectathon grinding.
