pretty boring
I was recommending this game, but I have encountered numerous bugs that have not been addressed in 5+ years.
1. I had the case that my workers stopped working during the week and during work hours. Not sure why.
2. The Steam achievements are broken, which means this game counts against your total achievements score, but you can do nothing about it, because although you have already earned the achievement, it is not awarded.
3. I had about $3000 on me, was supposed to receive $7960, and had to pay $5000 in upkeep, but was in-debt afterward.
4. If you change to a different office size, you will be charged the full price upon changing, and receive no refund from the last one. So, if you change right before you pay rent, you will be charged, for example, $5000 upon changing, and again a full $5000 when the rent is due. There is no work-around. You can only lose the lower amount by changing right after you pay the lesser amount of rent.
5. There is a text overflow issue that is HORRID in the job descriptions.
6. Some of the job descriptions appear to have hard-coded names, rather than variables to insert the player's name. This is one that even I could correct.
General game-play oddities: The dev used the Ami credit score system for loans, but does not allow you to fire your employees without notice, the way they too often do in the USA.
There should be a mechanism to shut-off the warnings about not having enough money a week away. You're in the middle of a job that will give you the money you need, and a warning pops up. The warnings come a week before your rent is due, 3 days before your rent is due, and if you did not have enough money, so that you can take a loan. ALSO, they come a week before the salaries are due, 3 days before the salaries are due, and if you did not have enough money. Rent is on the 1st and salaries are the middle of the month, so that unless you have reserves of cash lying about, you will get these bloody warnings once a week!
I keep a close eye on what's coming up, and budget for it, when I can. If the game cheats, like the case mentioned above, I get the pop-up telling me I'm out of money, so I need to take out a loan. I neither need nor want the other pop-up messages for the financial aspects. I NEED the dev to fix the game!!!!
This is another game that has been abandoned by the dev for approximately 3+ years, from what I can see in the forums. They did not bother fixing the bugs; they no longer respond in the forums. Hence, one is forced to assume that the game has been abandoned half-baked, like SO many other games in Steam.
Bugged, and it's already out of EA.
And, yes, in half an hour you already find the bugs...
Working in the industry decided to buy this game.
Unfortunately it's far from real work is and I got neither knowledge nor satisfaction from playing this dummy.

Honestly, I had a good amount of fun playing it. Until I ran into what is apparently a game breaking bug. I'll admit, I lost track of time and accidentally let an employee quit before I could give them a raise to convince them to stay so I quickly alt+f4'd when I got the message saying they quit. I reloaded the game and was greeted but a message saying "Something went wrong. And we're really sorry about that! Please contact Support." (See screenshot here https://imgur.com/Fpyqn76 )I google'd around and found that there wasn't actually any "support" to contact, at least that I could find. I tried reopening multiple times and reinstalled the game,
I did find this (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198859209221/recommended/953060/#developer_response) steam review that ran into a similar problem with a dev response saying that they're aware of the issue (all the way back on November 2018 ffs, and that they should have it patched in the next 1 or 2 patches, Which obviously didn't happen.) The dev said that in the mean time you can use the hotkey "Ctrl/cmd + Shift + O" to reset the game. This worked for me but they didn't bother to mention that THIS WIPES OUT THE ENTIRE PROGRESS OF ALL SAVE FILES! Which is probably a significant enough downside that they should have at least mentioned it in the post they made!
If I reset my PS4 I don't lose every single thing I have downloaded on it so this was extremely misleading language to say that it "resets" the game.
Honestly, considering they've known about this kind of issue for well over a year now, said they would fix it soon, and never did, then this reminds me of all the different programs/games I made in this game for a quick buck and then never cared about after launch.
I had fun playing this game, as proved by the 16 hours I put into it. But due to the lack of technical support and the possibility that the game can somehow just completely brick itself I cannot recommend this game. Not only would I not recommend it, I would recommend people actively avoid it.
Edit: I reinstalled it again to see if I could find a way to restore my old saves and found that in the "options" menu it tells you that you can press Ctrl + Shift + O for a hard reset (for beta testers). (This is word for word what the option says) It bothers me that the settings menu has accurate info about such a last resort but the devs recommend it willy nilly without the same level of warning as the settings menu. It's like they don't care if you lose your entire game progress.
I've really enjoyed the game itself, the hardest part for me seems to be I don't really feel like the different work modes and options available for projects seem to do much, aside from overtime and refactoring. And, understanding how the different mood levels and thing work is pretty difficult for me, but that's probably a personal issue.
I do very much enjoy having a small home garage full of employees who are happy to never get a raise and will never intentionally quit no matter how bad it gets tho. I'm getting them in the 30's on their skills now and am happy with their performance.
Can't wait to see what CryptoFall is all about, it seems interesting. Too bad I've never gotten far enough in this game to have cryptocurrency be invented yet.
I love management simulator games, but I find this game to be frustrating in its current iteration. Starting out as a specialist, it seems extremely easy to fail early game tasks. The money you earn from freelance tasks can't seem to keep up with business expenses. Perhaps I haven't put enough time into the game to learn what I'm doing wrong, but I think the early game could be toned down a bit to ease players into the game and encourage them to keep playing longer.
I hate to give this game the thumbs down but I just can't recommend it right now.
Interesting and addicting business simulator. GoToIt is not trivial and has a lot of depth to it which is why it might need a bit more of walkthrough for the beginners. Really like the soundstrack too.
Even Superman couldnt squeeze this lump hard enough to make a diamond out of it.
This fees like a facebook game with a neat initial "character maker" which is completely pointless after the main screen pops up.
"Why you say its like a facebook game?" Oh sorry... i mean its sub par with even facebook games, but this feels like its made in flash. Though even in flash it would have been more responsive. Its no fun to manually have to skip days to move on in this game. Especially when there is no on screen feedback anymore when skipping days. Its no fun to look at the same screen for hrs, without anything really happening.
I played Excel Spreadsheets that were move fun.
Rating 2/10 I wish there was actually a game here.
Fun game, great conceptual model and intuitive UI, lacks depth on many features and gets repetitive quickly. Needs to be developed more, but has good potential, I'm happy with the purchase.
Game is very addicting even if it has some optimization issues and lack of things to do sometimes...it's still very nice game. Keep it up devs!
Loved the game at first and still do want to play it. I got very far into the game and then i got error message and now it does not load after re install
I would like the money back
