This is the most rage inducing game, the machine hunt update just makes the game 10000000x harder. very good tho.

You should give Volcanoids a chance! I've had a share of frustration in it from the combat, but honestly, I see some potential in this little title. It's fun, looks good, and could really benefit from some more support.

if you like drill ships, mechanical stuff, robots, good bang for your buck or some thing to really get immersed in then this game witch has tones of relaxing & hardcore game play is the game for you

It is very realistic and there are good animation :)

As of right now it has room to grow and the difficulty spikes when deactivating the lasers is quite a jump and I believe should be looked at for adjustment.

I have really enjoyed my time with Volcanoids when I first bought it on Nov 12, 2019. It's had some great updates and changes over time I really recommend. I have not played in ages so that I can experience a lot of changes and updates at once. can't wait to jump back in I'm sure it will be so different that it will feel like a different game. ps. sugma

would have given neutral instead of recomended.. concept is good but after the first hour game becomes a repair sim just to be alive, seems almost imposible on singelplayer after second laser bcs of the amount of enemy that comes attacking you nonstop, and the players weapons feel underpowered.

Small but fun game, played between earliest and lastest updates but a honest chill (not so chill when you reach T3 upgrades and realise your ship is not nearly well armed enough) game that can satisfy that urge when wondering what game to play this week

Not quite what I expected. This SHOULD be a game right up my alley. Unfortunately, a myriad of issues just got in the way of my enjoyment. Also, the forced 1st person perspective really left a bad impression on me. Maybe when this is finished if they have made some significant improvements Ill give it a try.

The building and crafting system in this game is great and the combat has been getting much better over time. I come back to it every time there's an update just to play around.

My only gripe is the world travel system. It is so jarringly different and simplistic compared to the rest of the game. Hoping it's on the list for a overhaul before 1.0.

Fun game and all, but shooting is terrible and no fun at all.
If you aim at an enemy moving and shoot, then you should hit it. Here and now 9/10 times your shot won't register. It's almost impossible to hit moving enemies.

How is this not fixed asap? How is this something I have to complain about.
Avoid due to gameplay being broken.

The game is good and I know I put a bad review but really the only issue I and many other people have with this game is the "repairing simulator" part mid-late game when they CONSTANTLY attack your base. You have to keep coming back to make sure or check every module and it gets annoying and demotivating to push further into the game, so until they finally add some sort of repair module/bot after a suggestion with 80 upvotes from 5 years ago I am not going to keep playing this game

Interesting concept. Absolutely boring and over simplistic execution. Within the first 5 minutes you've seen the whole game. Should be a phone game only.

Can't wait for more updates.

A few things I hope are made better is single player is rough, the island is a bit Barron, and the driving of the drillship is lackluster, so I hope they do more with them. But other than that for a early access game it's pretty good.

"I PULLED THE WRONG LEVER"

I really enjoyed what I've played of this game and I'm excited about what's to come. That said, shortly after I got it, a complete overhaul of the game's map was announced and I haven't touched it since because I'm expecting to have to restart. That was several years ago at this point. I would not recommend picking up the game at this point-- wait until after the map update and new reviews are posted.

Great Game: still in early access, but there is lots to do, and for it's genre it is challenging. About twice the storage for the players backpack would be nice.

I love the drillships

Good game for sure. Been following it since before launch, just took me a while to finally come around to giving it a try. Typical survival craft but with the big drill as your home twist. Way more fun when you play with friends.

It was awesome in the beginning! Loved every aspect of this game, but as time goes on, it gets more and more complicated. Not as in "hard to follow" complicated, but grinding to keep up with resources. It just loses all of the fun when you are constantly grinding. The is also an inventory glitch where it keeps resetting your view while you are trying to sort things or look for something. SUPER frustrating!

Awesome concept, beautiful future! But right now... I just couldn't recommend it.

Game has some scuffs, major one is once you beat the game. Other than that, it is a blast especially for $20. Highly recommend. Great for playing with friends

it depends on how you play it if you want to just go guns blazing into a cog drill without building defences on your drill expect the difficulty to be higher since you can go back and have your drill destroyed if you don't send it to the underground when you leave

for me i never seen a bug that would want me to send a bad review and uninstall the game
and i was an early tester in the year 2019 and the game changed alot but i don't think that there are more bugs as for my self i would say there are less than in every single call of duty games xD (taking into consideration of my cod colection as of now MW infinite warfare, advanced warfare, MW2 (2022), MW3 (2023), BO6 )

about ---{ Grind }---
well there is a little grind when you need some reasorses for the guns or the drill to upgrade the core for example but that usually takes about 5 mins with granades on the lvl 1 cog drills and i would say it scales linearly as of my experience lvl 1 drill took me about 5 mins to destroy and a lvl 2 drill took me about 10 mins the lvl 3 takes longer but that is due to the second segment of the drill that is way larger like on the lvl 2 drill you have 8 segments on the walls on the first and the second segment on one side but on the 3 segment drill you have about 10 segments on the middle part alone

when it comes to the gun play in volcanoids i would say sometimes it comes along as janky sometimes you miss even tho you are aiming directly at the head of the cog but that comes along with the game being early access

as for me if i would recommend buying the game

One of the best Survival games i own, and also one of my favorite games to play.

Barely played before but based off of the new stuff in the videos I can tell that this is gonna be a blast

It is fun, but the pacing is quite a bit off for my taste. You unlock new tech in waves and when you unlock the largest drillship and finally got all the space you might want, you dont really need it anymore, because the story is finished and all you can do is keep upgrading your ship. However there wont be any challenges at this point and there is nothing to explore really.
So be aware, that you wont spend a lot of time in this game, when you buy it.
