Bought for the artstyle, played for the artstyle. Plot is ok, but the way it was presented.... I can only say this drags on seemingly forever. Running in one big map from one end to the other and back. Confusing and cheesy, then in the end you realize this has a gigantic amount of plot holes and other things the author didn't bother to include (in the bonus room). I like the interface, really, if only the gameplay wasn't so boring. Also that preview image with a lot of characters in it? That'll be the only time you see that amount of people, and it's not for you.
English speakers, don't bother. You'd sooner machine translate yourself than ask for one.
I just wanted to warn future English speaking players that this game crashes and will not open the English version. I have read several complaints saying that other players had to change their computer location to China and it worked however it didn't work for me which was disappointing since I was looking forward to this game. This has been going on for sometime with no word from the dev so im not sure if the problem will ever be resolved. The only reason I managed to get 5mins of supposed playtime was constantly hoping for some update and with the intent to warn others.
I love lil indie games so I still have hope maybe they'll fix this. When they finally do I shall remove this review and insert a proper one. Until then, buy at your own transgression!
Unplayable. At first the game just doesn't start. After 20 minutes of installing and configuring Locale Emulator so that the game thinks it's running on Chinese Windows, it starts, but the game has no text. Dialog boxes are just completely empty.
I'm not the first to have these problems. As I write this this there are 5 discussions in Steam - 4 are people complaining the game won't start, 2 are even in Chinese, so it's probably not just an OS language issue.
This RPGmaker game can stand face to face with the likes of Ib and other vgperson-translated works thanks to its very unique artstyle, selfmade art and music.
Sadly for english players this game suffers from a pretty shaky localization with textboxes being too small for the english text to fit, some minor signs and sadly some dialogues being still in chinese. That is if you get it to run by various means of specific chinese traditional unicode locale change, font installs and whatnot.
It is a great story to experience but I wish the developer would give this and future projects some more care for the non chinese players.
