Долгие годы Рим процветал в покое и безмятежности. Но мрачные тени прошлого взошли на дальних границах. Юный предводитель викингов вторгся на земли империи, чтобы отомстить за отца. Возмужавший сын генерала Викториуса, Маркус, отправляется во главе войска навстречу опасности, и несмотря на все уговоры своей возлюбленной, оставляет её в Риме. Расстроенная тем, что не примет участие в сражении, Валерия стремится доказать, что тоже способна принести пользу народу империи. Она добивается для себя нового назначения и отправляется со своим отрядом в арьергарде войска, чтобы восстановить разрушенные поселения и построить дороги на дальних рубежах империи.

This game crashes constantly, especially on the higher levels. At the start, the middle, right before the end, it varies. The other 4 Roads of Rome games don't do this. FIX IT! I don't recommend this game as it's very frustrating to have to keep restarting levels you already spent 15 minutes on!

The levels are challenging and fun
Fun stuff! I'm a Roads-o-Rome fan from the beginning and this is a classic. Starts out simple enuff then ramps up the difficulty. There were several levels I truly thought I couldn't get expert on haha. When in doubt... fresh tactics.
Old and new fans alike should enjoy!
No multi-click mode - you have to wait until a worker is free before you can click, in any of the game modes.

Unlike its predecessor, New Generation 2 is an enjoyable time manager. Sure, it has some inherited shortcomings, but they pale next to the good core mechanics and stage design.
Long version:
Roads of Rome: New Generation 2 successfully blends the modern elements of Realore’s newer time managers with the gameplay of the original Roads of Rome trilogy. In other words, it is what New Generation 1 should have been.
It introduces a new protagonist in a new journey to construct another forty patches of road and rebuild several villages while we are at it. The previous hero spends this game fighting some Vikings, so it is up to his wife and her 1–4 builders to clean up the mess of the invaders. It is a simple story, but it does its job.
All stages have great balance; there is always something to do without overwhelming the player. Even the mechanics improved somewhat, adding a little flexibility. Simply put, with a bit of planning, you should never run out of any resource.
However, there are some small issues. The workers move slowly, so many stages can last up to 10 minutes. There are no command queues, so the game requires a certain rhythm to meet the goal times. Luckily, these shortcomings are not as bad as in the previous game, New Generation 2 is a great time manager.

This game consist of sitting and looking at the screen an being ready to press the next action you want to perform.
You cannot queue your actions. Th planning element of the game is negated by this.
Has anyone gotten to level 22 and completed it..If so could you tell me for some reason no matter what mode or howmany times I play I can't get to the Island....
Fun game like every other in the series. One bad thing though - it crashes often, didn't experience that with previous episodes.
