Not even alcohol makes this game good.
bril
good games
Funny story lol
Good old times quest part 2
I have nightmares from the pole dancer.
Not that one... the other one...
Good.
Just like the first one, this game sucks. Not very intuitive at all. Jokes try too hard.
whew hilarious! lol
Getting right into this, you play as Hector a highly un-liked officer. Due to the ineptitude of the force they call you in to either negotiate a successful hostage situation or die trying. What ends up happening is a mad dash all over the town trying to meet the demands of the terrorist.
The game is not a bad game however it is only a game for a very small niche crowd. The game is heavily laced with vulgar content (not laced but packed). Your main character (as you later on will play as your partner as well) is pretty much hated by everyone with the exception of 4 people. So, each encounter will have its degree of standoff conversations.
In fact, many of the puzzles require you to ask every question sometimes in the correct order to progress the plot or unlock new plot items. Puzzles are pretty straight forward and will not take long to complete. In fact, each chapter can be completed in roughly 4-5 hours if you are good with puzzle games.
The graphics are not state of the art. However, this is not a game that would require it and would probably be a worse game with them. They are comical and well designed. The animations in several locations are not synced and you can definitely see the jumping from one animation to the other (especially when you are in the church). The vocals are in no way synced.
Overall, I would not say this is a bad game but if you are not into games that are vulgar, smut filled, with an obnoxious lead character I would stay away from this game. I own several Telltale games and this is the only one that I have not “recommended”.
Good continuation.
Very good but i'm biased...
We’re continuing our adventures in the second installment of Badge of Carnage as Detective Inspector Hector, hot on the trail of the local terrorist of the town of Clapper’s Wreak. Or rather trying not to get executed on the spot by the clever evil mastermind who tricked us into helping his agenda just to get away and ask for more. Yes, ALL THAT we had to go through with Hector in part one was just the beginning. While it’s not strictly necessary to play through the first episode (and there’s an amusing re-cap of events), it is highly advisable, as the series continue exactly where the first part ended. This time Hector and his faithful doofus of a sidekick Lambert will attempt to get out of exploded building (where they may or may not have caused another explosion), infiltrate local church (that may or may not hide something more sinister), discover the very VERY strange food delivery system (that may or may not have something to do with internet fame) and, most importantly, try and get Hector out of the bad date. Knowing Hector’s standards – imagine said date yourself. You also may participate in a quick “organs for money” scheme. Some things just always come in handy.
As in the case with the first episode, the cartoonish, simplistic graphics full of caricatures perfectly highlight game’s raunchy, violent, and hilarious world. Classic point’n’click gameplay lets you progress via logical (to the lewd universe of the game that is) inventory puzzles and exhausting dialogue option, some of which are there just to add the comic value but are totally worth exploring. In the already established style of Badge of Carnage – if the possible solution you thought of makes you scrunch up your face in a “No…No, this can’t possibly be it” manner in anticipation of something gross or crude – you are most likely correct. If you didn’t come up with anything like that, that’s on you, not on Hector.
Just like in real estate it’s all about location, location, location, in Badge of Carnage series, it’s all about writing, writing, writing. Hector’s quips and one-liners plus Lambert’s lamentations and the general NPC responses to all that silliness are undoubtedly the strongest part of the game. This solid, dry British humor thoroughly peppered with crassness and vulgarity won’t do for easily offended but will absolutely please the audience that’s into nothing-is-off-limits jokes. The plot, by the way, while full of absurdities, is tightly written and yet again manages to complete a full story within the episode, skillfully leading a player to the third and final part without any cliffhangers or unresolved feelings. This considerable feat is easy to miss in a comedic game like Badge of Carnage but is unquestionably a mark of great writing.
If you played the first episode of “Hector: Badge of Carnage. We Negotiate with Terrorists” then you know what to expect from “Senseless Acts of Justice” and will not be disappointed. More carnage, more crudity, and more Hector – what’s not to like? If that’s your first foray into the world of the game – peek at some “let’s plays” to see if this kind of humor is your cup of tea. It seems that at this point you can only buy all three episodes together (at least on Steam), and while $15 is more than a fair price to pay for hours of entertainment you’ll get out of it, the entire bundle quite often goes on sale for $5. Hector would still most likely grump about that price even for a game with himself in it, so grab it guilt-free; after all, you’re may or may not be paying to see conscientious and highly progressive nun on a stripper pole.
terrible two
This episode of Hector: Badge of Carnage begins by resolving the cliffhanger ending of the first. Compared to the other two episodes, this one is the longest and you end up visiting far more locations than the other two. This is also the first time you are able to switch between Hector and his foolish partner Lambert, who each have different skills, though this becomes more apparent in the third episode. However, you only play Lambert for a brief period since the majority of the game is spent using Hector to discover the identity of the terrorist.
Another new feature of this game is a brief tutorial segment which helps you understand the controls, though if you have played point-and-click adventure games before, figuring out how to interact with the objects should be very easy since older games in this genre are a lot more complicated.
None of the puzzles are particularly difficult to solve, and like the first episode, this one gives you both Lambert and a hint guide to help in case you get stuck. Also, they are a bit more logical as there were a few in the first that were a little silly (though not as bad as ones in other adventure games I've played).
Personally, I found the plot a bit weaker than the other two episodes. Most of your time is spent talking to lots of different people and getting them to open up dialogue options you need to progress the story. There are parts when this causes the game to drag a bit, such as during the dating segment, but mostly it's worth clicking on all the dialogue tree options to see all the funny lines. Also, the characters except for Lambert aren't as memorable as the ones in the first episode. However, the puzzle element is pretty strong since you have to solve a lot more of them to get to the end, which is another cliffhanger.
Lastly, this episode is also a bit buggy like the first. I experienced some graphics glitches during inside the restaurant scene, but fortunately they were brief.
I'd say that overall this is a solid middle story to the series because it offers more to explore and accomplish, though it lacks the structure of the first and the third episodes.
DISCLAIMER: This is a full review, and NOT a first impressions review
Hector: Badge of Carnage - Episode 2: Senseless Acts of Justice is a game originally developed by Straandlooper and originally published by the now defunct Telltale Games and is now originally 'developed' by LCG Entertainment, Inc. and now published by Athlon Games, Inc.
The game offers some nice graphics, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same
The game does suffer with some repetitiveness at certain areas of the game but a fun game nonetheless
Hector: Badge of Carnage overall, however, is a fun game to play, yet sometimes repetitive and it does get boring if being played for a long time, but is an okay adventure game to play in short bursts!
RECOMMENDED :)

Episode 2 is definitely written better than the first one. It's not trying too hard and it has already gotten a few chuckles out of me. I didn't like episode 1 too much, but I liked it enough to get me to the next one. Glad I stuck it out.
Good ol' point'n'pick adventure game. Second act : bit longer than the first and funnier. Recommend +++
Hectolicious!
- Knock knock.
Who's there?
- Dish
Dish who?
- Dish is the police. Hands up!
this is probably the funniest and generally the best game of its genre that I have ever played. great stuff :D
Not only do I hate this pathetic series. but I LOVE how it resizes my Steam to 300x100 resolution.
A f*cking sh*tty @ss game, with @ss controls and terrible story...
I c*nt wait until episode 3....
-5/10
Brilliant middle entry of the nuttily wittiest adventure I've played in quite a while.
Let me begin by saying that Hector, the titular hero of this game, is having a really bad day. After the painful events of Episode 1 (some of which are devastating to our hero's private life), he find himself unarmed and equipped with only one slice of pizza facing a deadly sniper rifle. Great. Any move he makes means absolutely certain death unless he can figure something out and if you know Hector, you know that this means YOU have to figure it out because he certainly can't.
Episode 2 picks up where Episode 1 left off as you accompany Hector and his reliable-ish sidekick, Lambert, in chasing down the terrorist that forced him to do his bidding in Ep.1. Along the way, he'll be screaming at turds (in more sense than one), mingle with local celebrities and do everything he can to cuff the insane criminal mastermind that continues to elude him.
There are some issues with this game: mostly, important items look exactly like the backgrounds of the game (which are quite ... nevermind). Also, some of the riddle solutions jump right at you, but the way to accomplish them doesn't and in one case I thought it was very contrived. The Hint-System is marginally more helpful than Lambert (you'll know what this means if you played part 1), but the riddles are, overall, not impossible(-y stupid). Still, if you enjoyed "We Negotiate with Terrorist", you will enjoy this one, too. Hector is as crude and rude as we know and love him and the climax of "Senseless Acts of Justice" does leave me wanting for more.
