it was a nice little game, one of the mini games is bugged and stops you from getting that achievement. so thats kinda annoying; however, the artwork is nice and the music is decent. lowkey only buy it if its on sale
Good enough game. I prefer these games were there are fewer distinct sections and I have to connect objects from several different sections of the map. The cat room was fun.
A stereotypical Casual Hidden Object Point & Click Adventure game.
Not exactly thought-provoking. Only take a few hours to fully complete.
Mostly a bit of leisurely wholesome fun that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Loved it despite the annoying bug I encountered with the sharp-eyed achievement. If you don't get it in your first playthrough you need to create a new profile to be able to get it. (It is a first time playthrough achievement bug).
Dreamwalker: Never Fall Asleep is familiar territory for anyone who's played a hidden object game in the past. If you are new to the genre it is an excellent place to start.
The visuals are serviceable although when characters speak it drifts into the "valley of the uncanny." This isn't unusual for this type of game.
The plots in hidden object games are not terribly deep and tend to have many plot holes. That doesn't bother me, I'm not playing these games for deep lore or character development.
The music is inconspicuous, meaning that it isn't annoying or distracting. It has a mysterious quality to it that makes the story seem more sinister than it actually is.
The puzzles were fun without being frustrating. When in doubt, try everything and you'll get where you need to go without needing any hints.
I never 100% these games as I always miss some collectibles along the way. All the more reason to play it once for fun and go back a year from now and have another go at it.
The only very minor critique is that while English is not the first language of the dev team more care could have been taken when translating. There aren't major grammatical errors but when searching for hidden objects in the lists, sometimes the words are unfamiliar to me or just slightly off. Not enough to ruin the game but something to be aware of.
Ultimately I recommend this title to anyone who has a few hours to spend on a casual hidden object game :)
