Story
Somewhere in Hokkaido lies a small village of fairies, once known to the locals as 'Koropokkur.' As times changed, their village prohibited its residents from interacting with the human world and the Koropokkur were long forgotten.
However, a few of these young Koropokkur became fascinated with the human world and gazed upon it through a magic viewing pool. Asirrera, in particular, was enamored with an ancient Koropokkur legend of a young girl who ventured out into the human world, became human through the grace of Kanda's Kamuy, the local deity, and found love with a human man.
Asirrera summons up her courage to break the village laws and see the human world for herself, using her magic to transform into as small as an apple to human-sized!
Unfortunately, her clumsiness quickly gets the better of her and ruins Satoru's last ditch efforts to save the maid cafe he runs in Akihabara. Plagued with guilt, she offers to help make amends and winds up working with Satoru to help revive the cafe.
After seeing her plight through the viewing pool, her friends, Cirta and Haruante, leave the village to help. While they're both supportive of Asirrera, they also seem worried by her lack of urgency in fulfilling her true goal...

MangaGamer is better at publishing Visual Novels than making them.
But hey, it has Itaru Hinoue art so it's worth it
It has that silly humour and dumb characters I don't really enjoy, so the reading felt quite dull for me. The ending is too abrupt and anticlimatic. Art is really cute.
A short but cute VN.
The story isn't anything drastic though fits quite well and was pleasing to read through.
The character designs by Itaru Hinoue were nice but I think Mangagamer could have upped the budget a bit more to get some better designed CGs perhaps, especially considering they were advertising the fact that the big thing going for this VN was that Itaru Hinoue was doing the art.
A short sweet kinetic novel, hoped it was a bit longer
Short, light, simple. An easy read for a lazy afternoon.
This is a tale of a Koropokkur (also known as a Korobokuru, Koro-pok-kuru, and Koro-pok-guru) who travels to the human world because of a wish to become a human. As her travels unfold, she and her friends will see good times and bad. Being a kinetic novel, there are no choices, and the ending is bittersweet. Though the epilogue might turn that around somewhat.
Fully recommend.
Cute but uninteresting and generic story.
Also when I made a save on chapter 4 the game became unusable.
I could load the save or press continue, and then the game was bricked.
So idk...not worth it.
Satoru The MC Basiclly Had Nothing To work With When he fired the Maids At his Cafe But then Some Glimmer of Hope Arrived At His Doorstep. Those Certain Glimmers were None other than Maids And These were No ordianry Maids They Had Powers that No Mere Human Could Imange. The First was Rena She was Clumsy at times And got Scared Quite Alot due to Being Outside World And around Human she would Change into her Bite Sized chibi Form Which Saved her Power but when She got hired by the MC she Used her Human Form to work in the Cafe she had powers that Nobody else could Obtain. There were 2 others Who Joined in Citra the Powerhouse Even on her Chibi form she Is very Strong haha And Haru The Brains you would Say She Has Powers that Sarpass Humans Liek Speaking to Animals And Shape Shifting Creatures into Humans. As time Grew By These Maids Devolped Specail Bond Between the MC Esp Rena cause she Had Secret that She Just could Not tell him. Little did the MC know These chibi Fairies Were not Supppose to be out In the Human World for Very Long time If so they Get Illness That Makes them Dissapear without A trace and Humans Nor Anybody can Revive them again they be Wiped from Existence. In all though Very Very VERY Good VN it touched me in ways I cannot say The Ending is what Got me Yes I cried Not kidding it Moved me so Much And Loved Every Bit Not gonna spoil all of it Go Play and Find out Def worth getting. I always say this but Would recc this to Everyone who Loves these Types of VN Games ^^
Koropokkur in Love ~A Little Fairy’s Tale~ is a short kinetic visual novel with romance and comedy elements, developed by MangaGamer, a company quite famous in the VN community for translating and publishing lots of adult games. This is their first original project ever released. Which is a bit unusual I must say since Koropokkur is an all-ages visual novel, and as I've previously said, this company usually releases R18 titles. I'm not complaining, though. Sometimes it's nice to read something different, at least in my opinion. I was personally very excited when they announced the production of this game through Kickstarter. I've read a bit about the legend of Koropokkur from the Ainu folklore years ago, and I was curious to see how this little game would handle it.
Asirrera is a tiny fairy living in a Koropokkur village in Hokkaido. She dreams of seeing the human world, and maybe, even falling in love with a human as well. After gathering all her courage, she's able to use her magic to turn herself into a full-sized human girl, and finally, she ends up in Akihabara. Being very clumsy and unaware of her surroundings, she unintentionally ends up ruining an event hosted at a maid café called Petit Fille. Satoru, the owner of that café, ends up losing lots of potential customers. Therefore, his last effort to save his business is over. Asirrera feels guilty about it, and then she decides to help Satoru to rebuild the reputation of his café. As long as the story goes, we also get to meet two more Koropokkur: Cirta and Haruante. They are Asirrera's friends, and they also become maids at the Petit Fille.
The story itself is light and cheerful, and somewhat predictable too. There are seven chapters plus an epilogue. It's a nice read if you're in the right mood, and if you're a fan of cute comedies, you'll probably enjoy it in the same way I did. On the other hand, there isn't exactly anything that makes this visual novel unique. Sure, the story is cute, the art is nice, etc. But, to me, it feels that something is missing here, and I'm not sure what it is. I'm not talking about the lack of R18 content. It's really something related to the actual plot. It doesn't mean that this story is bad, though. In the end, it just feels like a generic happy story with a bittersweet ending. Anyway, the pacing of the narrative is pleasant, and little by little, you're able to grow fond of the relationship between Asirrera and Satoru. The dialogues kind of drag around on certain scenes. Nothing too annoying, though. Haruante and Cirta are also very cute, but they don't have enough screen time compared to Asirrera.
Let's talk about the art. The artist here is Hinoue Itaru, a well-known artist for illustrating great VNs such as CLANNAD, Little Busters!, Harmonia, etc. Her style may not please everyone, and you can easily recognize it by looking at her characters faces: they all have huge eyes. I'll be honest and admit that I'm not really a fan of her art style. But, I think it kind of fits in Koropokkur: this is a heartwarming story, everything is pretty much "innocent and pure", etc. It didn't bother me so much in the end, but I'm not sure that other people can agree with this. Anyway. The BGM is good, the songs are pleasant and they help to set in the mood for certain scenes. The UI, on the other hand, is very simple... I think that a little more effort could've been put in. You also cannot adjust the opacity of the text box, which can be a nuisance for some people. There are also some bugs going on: so far, I've encountered one related to simply going through the story. At some point, I couldn't keep progressing as the game wouldn't let me, and the only way out was to close everything and restart it from my last save or from the beginning. This happened to me twice in chapter two. The only thing that I disliked about this title is the fact that it isn't voiced. I know, it's a debut project, but adding VA to this novel would've been fantastic. Hopefully, MangaGamer will consider this in a near future. The narrative and dialogues are written in fairly simple English in this game, which makes it a quick read. I also don't recall seeing grammatical errors. Oh, and it took me nearly four hours to finish this novel.
7/10. Despite its flaws, I honestly enjoyed this visual novel. It was nice to read and the characters were cute. It's far from perfect, but still, I think it's worth checking it out. Since it's a bit short, I recommend getting this game on a sale.
