About the Game
* StoryWest of the land of Eincia, there was a kingdom of green forest and clear rivers.
This kingdom was blessed by "the Spirit of Aqua". People of this kingdom worshiped "the Spirit" and gained the power from the spirit though the "Priestess of Aqua".
One day, the novice priestess Clemente, wearing her shrine robe, came to the temple with her master nervously, and was about to meet the Spirit of Aqua.
On the other hand, a mysterious one who bears evil power draws near to the Temple of Aqua...

The novice priestess who serves "the Spirit of Aqua”, Clementine fights against so-called
demons with the spirit's blessings in this exploration based side-scrolling action game.
The heroine is capable of using various water-related special abilities in combat.
Since she is a trainee in the beginning, she does not have so much power but will
obtain a variety of abilities as her exploration goes on. Nonetheless, this game
does not employ the typical growth system based on EXP and level, which means
you won't be frustrated by level grinding.

OKAY FOR ITS PRICE
It's okay; great sprite work, but falls off hard beyond that: stiff, clunky, with woefully ineffective spells and skills beyond niche usage, worsened by the castle's difficulty spike, and an utterly grating to listen to voiced protagonist that most unfortunately can't be muted.
If you want an adult metroidvania more worthy of your time, play Grimhelm's Alien Quest EVE instead; it blows UnHolY DisAsTeR clear out of the water without trying.

i recommend not buying this unfinshed game .
the stuff you see in the video is a lie . you only have 1 attack and when you get sp they dont make it clear what its for and when you lose a life witch is real easy with the controls you get there that bad you dont get a way to get that life back.
the game looks good but with it being as bad as it is i can not recommend this to anyone .
if this was made but EA i bet they would make EA proud with this unfinished thing .
Awesome game and definitely worth buying, BUT, it has a downside.
You see, the game is actually pretty fun, the controls (although non remappable for controller) are good enough, the voicing is pretty good, and the story isn't too generic, unfortunately, the sexual stuff has blur censorship.
For the sexual part, you have animations and game over scenes, and a gallery for all of them in the main menu that can be completely unlocked with the Konami code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A), both of which are pretty good and are voiced, but they're censored, and just like, “UnHolY ToRturEr”, it would seem that it's just not possible to uncensor the game in any way. Also keep in mind that this game doesn't contain Steam cloud, so if you wanna back your progress up, you have to do it manually.
If you're okay with that, do get the game. You won't regret it.
While the adult scenes are fun, an unbreakable and slow attack animation. and very limited choices make the game far too frustrating late in. As I am giving up I cannot recommend.
This game is pretty fun and I like the art too. It isnt boring but it also isnt too hard but Id suggest you search some things up like how to use skills and magic.
Great hentai game! Good artwork, sprite animations are pretty good, and the gameplay is pretty solid. Certainly worth a buy.
Hi, I'm Terry Sober.
I picked this game up in a sale at 55% off and I finished it in about 4 hours. I went in every room on the maps, but only found a couple of secret rooms, so there's probably a few items I didn't collect. It's not a difficult game if you are used to these type of games, I only died a couple times on the journey and a few times on the final boss. I didn't see most of the death/capture animations until I finished the game, which you can view in a gallery from title screen. Which is a good job really, because these are pretty decent and not to be missed. The story and gameplay are ok, the graphics, animation, and (hentai) voice acting are really good. It's not so much metroidvania, you enter a section, explore all the rooms if you want, sometimes fight a boss, then move on to the next section. There's no real reason to go back once you have finished a section. I enjoyed my time with this game and it was definitely worth the sale price.
Even without the 18+ content, this game honestly performs much better as a Metroidvania than many games of comparable price. It does lack polish in some areas, but the core mechanics actually feel great and allow for both expression and customization in playstyle, something that not all games can achieve. Even more than this, it offers sufficiently challenging content to push its mechanics to their limits, something that even leaves me with a lingering complaints for otherwise exceptional games like Minoria.
If you're here for the 18+ content, though (or consider it an important or significant bonus), then I have to say I honestly just feel like this game is a masterpiece. The art is great. The animations are great. The translation...is choppy, has line break issues, and is frankly awful at times, but it gets the concepts across. It's certainly not enough to mar the experience for me, though if this is something that bothers you, it's an important detail to note.
Overall, I highly recommend this game for both types of content.
finally a game with T&A and game play. im so tired of boring visual novels. this is a pretty good side scrolling game with skills and 3 stats: attack, hit points and magic. each you can upgrade. its a good game and i cant wait for another from the developer. PLEASE MAKE MORE!
I just beat this game and found it pretty fun. The T&A factor was a big motivation for me to buy this game, as I like looking at hot girls and they seem so rare in gaming today. To be honest, I wish the main girl was naked at all times, but at least she is in some cut scenes.
The dialog is terrible, as I assume its just translated through google or something. Nonetheless, its coherent enough to understand what it going on - mostly. One VERY important thing that I did miss, was that you are meant to spend SP points on your characters skills in the character menu. I scrapped and really struggled, but somehow got very close to the end of the game without spending any of these. Once I did spend those points, the game became much easier.
The game plays like a mini Super Metroid. You run around a sizable map killing monsters and occasionally collecting abilities. There are also transporters that make it easy for you to backtrack to a certain stage if you need to re-visit it. Good design there.
The combat itself is quite good, especially once you have collected some new powers. Hitting enemies feels meaty and satisfying.
Overall,Unholy Disaster is short but sweet.
It is a good game, fun, of course it is a cheap indie juego, so you can not have extremely high expectations, but what it offers is perfect.
Hidden elements to explore on the map and give it more replayability, a Boss Rush mode, different skills for your character, including 3 that you will need to pass the game.
Needless to say, obviously the game is inspired by Castelvania.
The Pixel Art is very good, quality. It has a short history but it is not the big deal, just a pretext for the protagonist to continue on her adventure.
The game in its default version is a platform metrodvenia, but if you download an official patch the game will contain erotic content with many scenes of that style. If that bothers you just don't download it and play the game as it is.

This game is not great,that being said....for the cost and lets face it...for the reason we are getting it, you cannot help tell yourself "why the hell not"?
The animation for cutscenes are OK at best. The animations for the H acts are fairly sub par but can look sort of awkward in certain "positions".
The VO is a little off putting too,the protag sounds way too young for what we are seeing on screen.
As far as the broad gameplay,like everything else is just ok. The abilities feel strange like the dodge/back step.
The enemy types are not very many but the bosses are pretty well done all things considered
I would say as a whole this game has promise but needs more polish. Like i said before,if this game interests you,it's pretty inexpensive so....why the hell not?
Great game. The animations are well made, combined with a good and no repetitive sound efects. Every enemy have it's own animations and they can be seen by the not that great way (dying) or by beating the stage and unlocking all the animations for the gallery. The game is kinda hard but fair, probably it's only hard because you keep thinking about the animations.
Very playable erotic Castlevania clone, with awesome music and tight contols. I couldn't use my xbox gamepad but I resurrected a sidewinder and that worked. To see the uncesored scenes and animations, I had to download a patch for steam from the makers website.
I would gladly buy the previous games in the series too if they are ever made available here!
Great small game. You have correct amount of hentai graphics. Commands are reactive. There are some hidden passage and things to discover. The more you play the more option you have in term of fighting. I found it ugly at the beginning. Then you get addicted.

In Short: ["Patched Version"] A somewhat challenging action platformer with a good variety of H-scenes. You might come for the adult content (pun intended), but the gameplay and progression system is more complex than you might expect for these kind of games. Art assets may clash at times: HD terrain and effects contrast the pixel characters. This is no Echidna Wars, but it is on the right track there.
Good Time, if you want to combine your casual video gaming with hot monster on girl action.
Bad Time, if you want a full Metroidvania experience and have no interest in the "art assets".
Very good despite all the adult stuff. It plays a lot like castlevania and the metroid games. The combat is very intuative and the boss fights are challenging. Game doesn't punish you for dying, instead you get 1 skill point to help you get stronger.
Word of warning though this version does not contain the adult scenes when you die or get a game over. You have to download the patch.
Gameplay
Pros:
- Controls are simple and easy to use. Good enough for a keyboard, but best for a gamepad.
- Exploration is rewarding
- Difficulty progresses pretty nicely, and the combat is fairly challenging. No cheap tricks; if you mess up, it's your fault.
- Each stage introduces new enemy types, which there are a good amount of. Each boss fight is more interesting than the last.
Cons:
- May seem rather easy to metroidvania veterans. At least, that's my assumption as a relative newbie to the genre.
- The campaign hardly lasts more than 2 hours. Pretty short, considering the asking price of $11 (at the time of this writing).
- Quite a few of the skills just aren't very good; you'll easily find yourself using only a few throughout the game.
- A couple archaic design decisions. Namely:

- No cutscene-skipping option
- After the game over screen, not letting the player just load their last save. They have to do quite a bit of waiting before they can do that. It's needlessly tedious.

Graphics
Pros:
- Nice pixel art and animations, and even nicer CGs (some of which are animated!)
- The CGs are really freaking good. $11 might seem much for a game this short, but the CGs make it a pretty dang good deal. At least if you're into huge tits.
- HUD looks nice, with nice use of a leaf serving as both the health and mana gauges. The animated mugshot of the protag is dynamic and very pretty.
Cons:
- Pixel art being low-res hurts the sex appeal. A lot. Especially when you zoom in, the H animations look like they have light mosaics plastered all over.
- Pause menu UI is plain at best, ugly at worst. The implementation of the nice-looking parts of it also leaves a lot to be desired.
Sound
Pros:
- Music is pretty nice, each song fitting the atmosphere it's used in.
- Sound effects are varied and have a good amount of impact.
- Voice acting is pretty nice.
Cons:
- The heroine's voice. She's got the body of someone in her early-to-mid 20s, yet she sounds like she hasn't even hit puberty. She's not even drawn with much of a moe face.
Story
Pros:
- Simple and easy to follow, translation issues aside.
Cons:
- Most of the characters could use more fleshing out; they're pretty two-dimensional and not that interesting.
[*] The translation leaves an awful lot to be desired. Stiff and/or confusing wording, text cutting out of the screen, etc.
Verdict
Overall, I'd say this is a pretty decent game. I'm very impressed that it was mostly made by one guy, only assisted with sound and testing. I'll be looking forward to future releases from this dev. :)
Unfortunately this game is far from the original Japanese version. They basically removed all the cutscenes, death animation, grab attacks, and basically everything else that would make it worthwhile. Go ahead and get it at DLsite for a richer experience. I'm happy that Steam gave me a refund.
I ll try to do my short review after few hours of playing using my mediocre english skills. I've tried steam "all age" version for a few minutes - no H animations. So get r18 patch before starting to play.
This game, like rest of the UnHolY series (google it or find it on dlsite, they are great) is pixel hentai castelvania/metroid like side-scroller. You control cute blonde heroine fighting monsters utilizing different skills and magic abilities which are unlocked by defeating bosses and by finding them in various places in the world. When HP falls to 0 our heroine will be knocked down and nearby monsters\bosses will perform their H animation, which are very well done, you can then use 1 of 3 lives and get back up. Lives, as well as HP and SP are restored at each save point that are located at various places. There are also teleport system for easier backtracking.
If no lives left - you get H game over (GO) CG for that level, each boss has its own GO CGs. Usually you get 3 new monsters per level + boss. DLsite page of this game says that there are 26 pixel animations and 15 GO CGs.
There is gallery option with animations and CGs, and also achievements.
English translation isn't perfect but better than machine translation, in some places in dialogue you ll encounter things like "fit\suitable" i dunno if translator forgot to choose 1 and delete another, but its happen not that often and game isn't text heavy, you usually get a short dialog in the beginning of the level and before/at/after boss encounter. Also i encountered 1 short event that was not translated (it was when you return to very starting place, where heroine took ritual to acquire her magic power).
EDIT.
It appears that in Japanese version Game Over scenes also have dialogue which is completely absent in english version. I hope this will be patched soon :(
EDIT2. Dev said that he is already working on the patch.
Dialogues ARE NOT voice acted but combat phrases and moans of our heroine and female bosses ARE, sadly those are without subtitles.
I can recommend this (and rest of Unholy series, sadly all other games, i think, are in japanese) to all lovers of sweet pixel art with some action gameplay.
Here is few tips from me.
Each time you die and load your game - you ll get some skill points to raise HP, SP or power of melee attack in status setting in pause menu (space key). You can do this few times in a row to make game easier. You can also rearrange your stats there at any time, for example lower your HP to die faster.
Spells (magic) and some abilities (arts) must be first "binded" to keys in Skill settings in pause menu before they can be used (took me some time to figure this out)
After getting double jump you can backtrack to earlier levels and get to previously inaccessibly places with loot.
After defeating a boss you unlock all animations for that level, i didn't test it personally because i always unlocked all animations before defeating the boss.
You can refight powered version of already defeated bosses by revisiting their rooms and activating their icon.
There is also "rush mode" but i dunno what it is yet, probably newgame+ mode.
