Great game back in the day, and they did a good job with this remaster.
Old gold
Played it way back. Really great game, hasn't aged all too well graphically and is pretty clunky but still a gem.
Firstly: I don't know if the game was patched or if it's a matter of personal config but I'm running it fine on Win 11 on a 2k-native monitor (I set the config of what seems to be emulator software that runs at the beginning to 2k as well and then in-game to its maximum 1600x900). It's also worth noting that I have the game on GoG and the version there seems to be fussier (harder to set up proper resolution and crashes easier), though in-game text looks a bit better.
One of the best, most unique and also most underrated RTS games of all time. Yes, it did have its problems but most were simply limitations of games at the time, path finding being one of the major woes. But it also had the best giant robot mechanic ever, I've never seen anything like it outside of a very few tabletop games. Unfortunately it was a new IP coming out at a busy time when some other big games overshadowed it. The game is showing its age now but it is still playable and I highly recommend trying it, if only to experience building your own "combot".
One of the best strategy game. I hope we will get 4k remake or part 2 <3
