I know it's fictional but dayum. Me wishe for better life and love.
First half of the story will depress you.
Cheap simple kinetic VN. Nice music. Meh translation but good enough for a buck.
good game, weird TL though
The girl's personality is terribly unbearable and her character is a giant cliché. Mediocre translation.
The way they meet is beyond off-putting but I'm honestly glad that I powered through the unpleasantness of the beginning of the story. It's an enjoyable enough story with some minor translation issues. I found the ending beyond rushed (and nonsensical) after fairly decent pacing up to this point but it's pretty cheap so if you can get over the beginning, I'd say it's worth your time.
A short slice of life story of a Chinese high school student encountering a tsundere loli. VN developed by a Chinese developer and published by the infamous SakuraGame. Is the story intersting? Is the translation good?
The story, as mentioned above, is mainly a slice of life comedy with some adolescent drama sprinkled on top. There is little to no romance or action so if you don't like this type you might find it boring. The main character is a Chinese high school student going through some hikikomori phase. He randomly meets a girl who then starts living with him. Majority of the story is about that. Weebs might be able to relate to the protagonist here. Lots of anime related tropes present here. While the two main characters are fairly well developed nothing else is. The school friend, Luo, has barely any 'screentime' and development. Some parts feel rushed and some are left unexplained. Not a terrible writing but can be boring at times. It's a short kinetic VN so there are no choices and only one ending. Credits mention sequel but nothing has been mentioned since the release date so I wouldn't expect to see any continuation.
The publisher of this game is infamous for machine level translations. Surprisingly, the localisation of this one is pretty good in comparison. There are some issues but you won't have to keep guessing or rereading ten times to understand what is happening. Acceptable. I hope more quality like this in the future.
The character art is decent but there are barely any sprites and variations. They sure saved money on the visual side. The backgrounds are good and CGs up to standard. There is very little art in this VN but it's not a huge issue.
Music fits events well and there are several tracks. No real complain here. Nothing memorable but works well with the game.
No bugs encountered.
Overall, a short kinetic, slice of life VN focused mainly on comedy with decent art and music. A casual story with no plot twists but it sure has enjoyable moments. If you like comedy slice of life then it might be worth trying. 6/10
Let me start by saying this game is definitely worth it's price.
Although story might be a bit rushed, but it's definitely worth it.
WARNING: YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT IN THIS GAME, CAUSE IT MIGHT BE SERIOUSLY ANNOYING AT START. DON'T PLAY IT WHEN YOU ARE IN BAD MOOD. IT WILL DEFINITELY MAKE IT WORSE FOR YOU.
The game is about a fat student that can't get along with others and stays at home all the time.
Plays games all the time and only goes out when he needs to buy food.
All of sudden some funny scamming kid shows up and makes him into her "slave".
It might be a bit annoying, but overall it's pretty good story.
About translations... well once you get used to it, it just doesn't matter. Even if it's badly translated, you can still understand the meaning of the sentence regardless so it's doesn't really matter for me. I didn't expect cheap game to have good translations anyway.
Well I won't comment on how the story ends, but if I had to describe this game in one sentence.
I would say it's a funny story with bit of sadness and romance in it.
Although if you are looking for a game where you can make choices and change the direction of the story then this game is not for you.
Because there are no choices in this game.
It's simply a visual novel for reading.
I recommend this novel to kill time or simply read it when you are in good mood to even more happy.
(MY PERSONAL OPINION)
This story has a lot of potential but it felt rushed, messy and confusion. While I do like some visual novel with the "next level" type of romance story, this one is focused way too much on one character and I have to say that character is so annoyed and stupid as well.
Let's talk about Quin, yes the character that I said previously was Quin. Without the doubt, this character is what makes the main character pretty dumb and being tricked by ten times, not even more than ten times. Thanks to the annoyance of Quin, I pretty much want to skip everything on this girl and the ending is absolutely non-sense as well. This character has terrible voice acting (say and scream at the same time) which is laughable.
Luo, on the other hand is really good overall. I feel sad to her childhood but most importantly, she is a life saver to the main character, but sadly thanks to stupid Qui just ruin this scene, uhh...I don't want to spoiled what happened to this one, but if you want check some random chinese review and good luck of spending hours of translate.
All in all, this story is a huge disappointed, it messed up a lot of parts at the end of the story basically all I see from this story is a circus . The lack of making story and some game plot logic cannot be forgiven whenever who make this story are neither want the main character is a tool for some random Loli or got tricked like ten thousand times and still get tricked over and over, being gang bang by some punks just protect worst Loli I ever seen and the ending, uhh being even more gang bang by Loli like WTF IS THIS STORY ????
Ah yes, the translation, I guess I have to say this thing again for every visual novel that I read. While I don't mind bad English translation with some visual novel from SakuraGames are Fox Hime or Tricolour, this one unfortunately is pretty broken and cause a lot of error ingame encoding, making very difficult to read. The UI design and fast forward are really bad, you can't skip some of the worst part that you don't want to see, which is make me realize do these publisher don't know how to implement the codes for the UI and in-game text.
Right now, 2 or 3 out of 10, nice try of the plot logic but this vn is definitely a great example of " AVOID THIS VN AT ALL COST" !!!
Wet pussy
This visual novel is very enjoyable and will leave you more than satisfied with the low price you paid for it.
The story is nice, the characters are charming and the story is easy to follow as it gradually builds up.
This visual novel offers no options to interact with the characters or story itself but the linear story has little need for it as it provides with a rich, yet simple narrative. It should not be a story rushed by the reader and you will find wanting to read more as you immerse yourself within it. This novel has a well balanced blend of drama, sadness, seriousness and comedic pieces that develop characters and help the reader get attached to them. The CGs are well drawn and vibrantly coloured to please the eyes. The background music is nice and the changing atmosphere in the game is accompanied by music that compliments it. The voice actors do a good job at expressing and telling the story that an be heard by the reader as well as bringing the character to life.
It offers 42 save slots which allow you to pause main points in the plot or visit your favourite parts within the novel. The English translation is not perfect, and around 5-10% of its text will have (as of the time of this review) spelling errors and/or other grammatical errors. Almost all of the errors are minor and do not harm the main points of the story. It is worth noting that one can easily make sense of the words or sentences imposed by the few errors if you read the whole sentence or are following the story. Overall it's an excellent visual novel by its low cost and the length of content it provides.
I just play this game for an hour an regret every single coin for this shitty game.
Lovely game, altough the translations were kinda poor, waiting for part 2 ! ^^
Wow, I liked this a lot more than I expected to.
Translation needs some work, it's not the worst I've seem by far, but somebody needs to explain that there is a difference between to and too.
Also the words often run over the space provided, so you miss the end of the sentence.
Words are also cut in half between lines (as seen in some of the screen shots) maybe this is done in Chinese books?
In English books this is considered the height of bad grammar.
(I think grammar is the right word?).
But yea being bossed about by a lolli works for me on so many levels.
What can I say I'm a fucking degenerate.
Artwork is great and the background music does the job, UI is fine apart from leaving insufficient room for English translation.
I would pay for full English voice acting DLC for the female characters.
weird need info to change into english language
Where should I start Now then Main OC Named Mr.Heh Lol that Name is funny to em Trust me I Laughed when I saw and heard it. Anyways He kinda Lost the love of his Life When all of the sudden She was tooken away from him oin the Blink of an eye He lost all Hope and He was Depressed, All of Sudden This Mystery Girl Named Quin Appeared in his Life where she was the Boss so to speak And kept calling Heh Puppy and was Barking orders Around Cause who doesnt do that right lol Basiclly Trying to get Him to do stuff for her or else he would suffer getting his CGS Deleted off of his own VN Game he worked so har dofr. In time they both bonded and shared each others Past and learned from each other and How they can co exist Plus Heh also thought of His Long Lost friend Luo in Whom he Really didnt want to see her Cause of the Recent event that Took place Long ago he was Made fun of. In all thoughQuin had Horrible Parents well Adopted ones that Treated her Horrible and used her for money and got what they wanted it but in return They soon found out they were framed in the act and Now Quin Lives with her oni chan. In the end it was Very Good VN I Quite Enjoyed it very much ^^ I would Recc thsi to ANyone who Loves These Types and also Take care of your Brother and or Sister.
This visual novel bills itself as an "enchanting journey with [a] lovely female MC," but most people who play it will probably disagree. The focus of the story is the protagonist Mr. Heh's life with a young girl, Quin, that he runs into (literally) one night. As he tries to help her up, she threatens to frame him as a molester and he is forced to act like her servant and let her freeload at his house. The story later provides justification for her actions, but most people will probably (and understandably) be annoyed by her anyways.
He also reunites with an old classmate, Luo. However, the game ends before we see too much of their relationship (there will apparently be a sequel in which she figures more prominently, though no details are available about this in English yet).
It takes about 1.5-3 hours to complete a playthrough and there are no choices/routes. The art is decent and there are plenty of CGs for such a short game. The voice acting is kind of meh, though.
On to the most important part, English translation quality. SakuraGame is known for its poor translations (among other things that you can look up). The Moment We Met actually has a pretty good translation. You should be able to fully understand the story without knowing any Chinese, which could not have been said about some SakuraGame's earlier releases. There are many minor errors, however, and line breaks often occur in the middle of a word.
Overall, I don't think this game will appeal to all or even most people. However, if you want to give it a try then the low price point means you don't have much to lose.
Note: On release, the English release of the game was unplayable due to some pretty serious bugs. These were fixed within the first few days of release. My original review is below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are familiar with SakuraGame in any way, then you know that their "English" translations are nowhere near the quality most people are willing to accept for a visual novel. Anyone who buys one of their releases should know what they are getting into so I won't be commenting on the translation quality any further.
The problem with this release is that it fails to live up to even the relatively low standards SakuraGame has set for themselves in terms of English releases. It is not even possible to launch the game normally with an English language operating system, as you will get an error about the game's text encoding. Once you switch operating system language or use a locale emulator to start the game, you will run into repeated errors within the first few minutes of gameplay. The only way to get past these errors is to switch the game's language to Chinese. Essentially, the English release isn't even a release as the game cannot be played in English!
TL;DR: Learn Chinese or wait for a bug fix before buying this.
