Вы еще помните те старые хоррор игры? Сделанные в виде квеста? Так вот это основная идея игры.
В наши дни все хотят клепать игры с ультра графикой, и множеством дополнений. Но мы хотим донести до вас атмосферу, рассказать историю, без красивых картинок и платных дополнений. Наша цель провести вас от начала истории и до ее окончания на одном дыхании, боясь сделать неверный шаг.
Мы очень надеемся что вам понравится это приключение, и мы с полной уверенностью приступим к второму эпизоду.

Granted, It's a borderline flash game. But It's a passion project, and at sale price, It's worth it.
Most puzzles are logical, and bar a few situations where you might need to die to figure it out, It's perfectly fair.
It's a very rough around the edges game but it maintained a creepy lo-fi aesthetic throughout which was effective enough at building atmosphere and drawing me in. And there was at least a couple of good scares throughout. The puzzles are of decent difficulty and logical enough. The only one I needed a walkthrough for was the confusing 3-lock-puzzle box, but once I figured out how to break the first lock the other 2 were obvious.
My only problem I had was my game bugged towards the end when the worm creature from the portal appeared twice, forcing me to use both bullets on him, instead of saving one to enable the good ending. And I needed to kill him the second time so I could collect the axe so I could get to the ending stage . But overall the game wasn't that exciting a prospect to play through again so I just watched the ending on youtube.
Recommended on a deep sale.
The Darkest Woods is a short horror game that has quite a few jump scares and has a interesting though somewhat basic plot. For 3 bucks its not bad and it goes on sale regularly so I would say pick it up if you want some cheap thrills.
Thought it would be short fun time, but it was boring with full of cheap jumpscares. Thought this game would have some nostalgic retro game vibe but nope, even though it's cheap the voice acting is just oof man. Wouldn't recommend
It's a simple click-and-point adventure game, with plenty of jump scares and some low-resolution gores. Not for the faint-hearted.
Very good game! Old style, simple game which is able to scare you considerably, thanks to a simple but effective story carried forward by an intimidating collection of music and sound effects.

Original and truly suspenseful IMO; better than the glorified graphic horror adventures.... this was great! Hope there are more to come from this INDIE dev. BTW I am not an avid horror fan; my opinion is based on my experience with P&C adventure games (some with a dark theme).

A lot of people seem to like this game, and if you do, that's awesome. But overall, I have to say I didn't like it. The best thing about the game is the artwork. The visuals rank high on the creepiness factor, but the riddles weren't very challenging and gameplay was a little buggy for my taste. If you are a fan of jump scares, then by all means play the game, but as a fan of puzzlers, the lack of challenge on the puzzles kind of killed it for me. I honestly wish there was a middle ground ranking for this game because I would choose that option. It wasn't bad, just not high on my list of games I'd ever revisit or play.
Excellent game, short & immersive
Cool little horror adventure game that can finished in an hour. The puzzles aren't very difficult, and there's a bunch of translation errors, but the low-fi graphics have a lot of charm and there's a (mostly) coherent story to follow. Very reminiscent of a certain breed of old flash games, as the store page suggests.
No real replay value, but for the dollar-fifty I paid for it, I'm pretty satisfied.
Nice short horror game. Got some disturbing visuals and a lot of jump scares. Riddles are not very difficult, so you can beat it in an hour or two.
For what you pay, it is a good game to play. just a simple clicking style game that can make you think a certain times. Doesn't get fustrating but every once and a while, you say, really, thats all what takes to get to the next level.
I personally loved getting the three codes even though it was a dick. lol
