How do you lose pieces in a digital puzzle. St Petersburg Map missing 2 pieces for me. Ridiculous.
Excellent jigsaw puzzle game and all achievements work. 30 cities, 4 puzzles each - 40, 80, 200, and 400 pieces.
A lot of fun for the oldtimers who yearn for a slow pace to reach a pleasant sense of accomplishment every time a puzzle is completed. I would recommend this game to anyone however.
The next installment of the SJP franchise, this one brings yet more 30 levels more of traditional jigsaw puzzles, revolving around the diverse cities of the world (mostly in Europe though). “Cities” is my most favorite of the SJP stand-alones available; the images typically represent airview city-scape vistas or skyscraper panoramas, look really great and were generally fun to assemble for me. In all other regards this is exactly the same as the “Base” SJP: same principle, same difficulty levels, even same music. And sadly, same problem with the drag&drop controls, which makes any thoughts of replayability quickly go away.
A really enjoyable jigsaw puzzle game with 30 city themed images you can solve on 4 difficulty levels (40, 80, 200 and 400 pieces).
The images are nice except the Saint Petersburg one which is black and white and therefore incredibly annoying on 400 pieces.
Other than that my only complaint would be that the difficulty of a jigsaw stated in game doesn't match reality for a lot of them in my experience, but you can just happily ignore that piece of info so it is kinda a non issue.
Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (7.0-6).
Ok I like this game but there one or two issues that need fixing (which I don't think will be) and then I will 100% recommend.
1. Selecting a different puzzle.
The game starts with Vienna by default, I could not allocate any other location/puzzle, so I thought I had to complete the 40,80,200,400 with Vienna and the next location would unlock, however no new location unlocked at all.
As it turns out the puzzle selection is on a map which you will overlook as the markers are dark grey and the map is light grey, there is no indication whatsoever unless you hover over with your mouse then it shows the location names on the map which you can choose which location you want.
I would like to make the suggestion to the developer to maybe either make the current location marker flash/blink on the map or change the marker/pin colors to red, something to let us know a different location is available.
2. Adding a zoom (right click) on the piece you pick up would be very helpful especially with the 400 piece puzzles.
The music is ok at the start but I did find myself muting it, there is just not enough variety.
I have seen other reviews stating the same issues so I know I am not alone with these problems.
I completed one city and for some reason I cannot get other city.
If you're into jigsaw puzzles then this a good game to play. Good selection of puzzles with different number pieces from 40 up until 400. It is quite quick to go through all the puzzles but is a good game to wind down and chill. A nice break from shooting and adventure games if you want something to calm you down and chill with then this games is perfect for that. IF you think you will be bored easily then thats your call. If you don't mind piecing things together and just want something to logically do then give this a go but be warned you may get bored of the puzzles after some time but is a good activity to wind down and relax with. Would recommend but be wary once you run out of puzzles and pieces, would have liked there to be more puzzle sizes but you can learn to be content with what they give.
If you like puzzles, this is a fun game. Lots of interesting puzzles, a few challenges and other easy.
I've always loved doing regular jigsaw puzzles since I was a kid. Now, I get off of work, clean house and relax for a few minutes while doing these puzzles. It actually helps my stress so I sleep better before going to bed.
Nice puzzle game. Better in some ways than the Pixel Puzzles series. (Specifically, the fact that the puzzle pieces snap together outside the picture frame.) Decent for the price (especially if on discount).
I was skeptical, but I am quite pleased with this jigsaw game. It does something I wish more of these games would do: snap together pieces not yet anchored in the right spot! This simple mechanic is what makes a puzzle feel like you are doing it IRL, and not having it is just annoying.
I like that they max out the puzzles at 400 pc, because it just gets too tiny otherwise. I have a largeish monitor (32") but still hate doing 1000 pc puzzles on it because it is just too unwieldy. I also like how you can drag over the box if you like, and even make it transparent. Just another nice mechanic that makes it feel more genuine.
Do consider this as a viable option to the competition, or add it to your jigsaw games library along with the others and support casual game developers.
I got this on sale, as I prefer to do, but could argue it is worth the full price (US$4.99) as well.
At full price - 7/10
At a nice discount of 75% - BUY
I wouldn't consider myself a jigsaw puzzle player, but Super Jigsaw Puzzle scratches an itch I didn't know I had (my 23 hours playtime tells me that).
It's very satisfying to play a piece that fits, and then to complete a puzzle. Of course it's not like playing a real jigsaw puzzle -- for one thing, all of the pieces are in the correct orientation to begin with. But (unlike some other digital jigsaws I've played) the pieces 'feel' solid and chunky. They click into place when you find some that fit together, and there's a pleasant 'pling' sound when you place them correctly on the board.
The music that comes with the game is pleasant enough. I'm no musician: I wish that the music were more 'circular' (you can easily tell when it restarts, which I find off-putting) and I would prefer to have more variety. Of course you could tell me to plug into my own choice of music, but the tunes that come with the game do match the mood.
A very satisfying and relaxing experience.
Great! One teensy problem... max 400 pieces. I want a 1000 piece puzzle. Is there any out there?
Just one more piece...
Beautiful pictures, Soothing Music, and addictring gameplay with challenge that runs the gamut from casual to infuriating. All the things you love about Jigsaw puzzles minus the lost pieces
I kid you not,; this game may well be a new guilty pleasure for me. I've always loved jigsaw puzzles but I am one of those people who some how always finds n-1 pieces in the box, where n is t the number of pieces you know you put back. But i digress. This game brings all that fun (and frustration) to your pc.
The Good
- The pictures you're working on are gorgeous! There are also a goodly amount of them. A world tour of cities to be sure.
- The music is soothing.
- The challenge can be whatever you want it. Each picture comes in different puzzle configurations. 40, 80, 200, 400 pieces. 40 Is a walk in the park and 400 will have you teraring out your hair at times. All of them enjoyable.
- Addictive gameplay. Maybe its just me, but the game is quite compelling. I keep coming back just to slot a few more pieces in and its always just one more piece. Not even kidding, this is not the game to play to get ready for bed. No. This is the game that will keep you up all night necause you started a 400 piece puzzle and you just want to fit in a couple more pieces...just a couple more
The Bad
- Missing some key features. IThere is no ability to rotate the pieces, or zoom in on them. I can kinda understand the first one because well, it'd be a nightmare if you had to find the correct orientatrion and position of those pieces, especially on the 400 piece puzzles., but t the latter. There's no reason for it, especially on the 200 and 400 piece puzzles where the pieces are just so small it can be very difficult to figure what's what. Just sayingm could have easily had a zoom feature, I mean its not like the right mouse button is doing anything.
[*] Minor gripes. the game provgides you with virtual voxes for sorting loose pieces, However once you snap two pieces together they automatically move to the puzzle board. It would have been nice if you could put small connected groups in the various boxes.
Conclusion
This game is good. I mean it scratched an itch I huaven't been able to reach in a looong time.. There are some little niggling problems but at the end of the day i can only give this a solid recommend. if you nlike puzzles you will love it and if you've never tried a jigsaw puzzle, , this is a good way t get into the hobby.
Good jigsaw, nice variety of cities and I really like that you can up the difficulty by changing the number of pieces.
Update:
Based on the quick developer response and their commitment to disable the internet beacon in the next update, I am changing my review to "Recommended."
Original Review:
I like this game, but I cannot recommend it until the developer explains why a puzzle game with no multiplayer or DLC (which could warrant internet access) tries to connect to the internet (to ping.yoyogames.com 143.204.158.66:443). I have my firewall block the connection, but the puzzle game still works and auto-saves my progress. It does freeze up for several seconds every so often, which is also annoying and might be related to my blocking its internet access.
Very good game to spend a relaxing time. With several difficulties that fit the ability of each. I love the skylines!
Thank you very much! I have to admit this just hurt my feeling so much.
I love your game and am so glad that you hear my people's voice :)

Taiwan is not part of China. Correct your achievement icon.
The game is almost the same than Super Jigsaw Puzzle but it has 40 new puzzles and all of them are landscapes of big cities. I,personally, like this more than the previous one because the images. But the game mechanics hasn't changed at all. Different music but equally enjoyable. For 4 euros, it's giving me hours of fun, but I recognize jigsaw puzzles aren't for everyone, so if you like them, give a try.
What fun! The puzzles cut is a standard grid, but there’s lots of variety in the pieces. The puzzles has a solid fit that is never confusing. You never think a piece fits where it does not.
This puzzle game earns a robust 10 out of 10 by doing everything brilliantly.
There’s so much color and detail in these images that assemble is very quick and easy. The inclusion of the preview is a particularly nice aid for working with this kind of images
