Master Pyrox Wizard Smackdown is a fast-paced arcade-style multiplayer game. It's very easy to learn, but difficult to master. Avoid the fireballs that manifest in the center of the screen, knock your opponents down, collect power-ups and cast spells. Up to 8 players can fight against each other in a tournament or cooperate against one of Pyrox's creatures in a boss fight. Various gameplay options allow you to customize the game, and you can even design your own maps.

If you like games similar to Wand Wars, you'll like this one. Game is pretty straightforward, the trailer shows you everything there is to see. Haven't tried the multiplayer, so I don't know if there is a playerbase or not, but single player is proving adequate, with a variety of game types. You can even pit the AI against itself and just watch them have at it, and the ability to name your opponents is a nice touch; I would however like to see more customization options and colors, as there aren't a lot of wizard types to choose from. And of course, there is a level editor if you want to make your own maps, which is pretty cool.
The only complaint I have is that it is easy to forget that the portal effect while a fireball is being summoned can kill you; I think it would be better if this were not the case. Other than that they did a great job, and I got exactly what I expected!
