Castle: Jigsaw Puzzles is another asset flip from the shady "developers" at Boogeygames, who continually steal the work of others (game demos and asset packs), change the name of them, and put them on Steam as a cash grab/scam, trying to get YOUR money for someone else's work! And it's not okay!
So today they've ripped off a very basic jigsaw puzzle game template, and stole some images from the internet, put the two together (probably took less than an afternoon for this one) and dumped it on Steam to try con gamers into paying for this trash.
Boogygames Studios have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:
- "Case Simulator Weapons and Armors" = Yet Another Case Opener developed by NeraQuam
- "Color By Number - Pixel Draw" = Pixel Art: Color By Number developed by Moana Studio
- "Pixel Art Monster - Color By Number" = Pixel Art: Color By Number developed by Moana Studio
[*] "Rainbow Duck" = Switch The Gravity developed by App Advisory
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.
The game itself, as a basic jigsaw, it just the kind of thing you expect to see in browser/flash games, and hardly belongs on Steam.
The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. That's right, only 4. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is to be expected. Gamers just didn't take this low quality game seriously, and for good reason.
Castle: Jigsaw Puzzles is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
there is only one puzzle wtf
Fun, relaxing game. To get to other puzzles simply right click the game title in your library and select the puzzle you would like to play as the game only loads one puzzle at a time.
nice games.... it just... it will more entertaining and cool if there are achievements for every type of jigsaw
so far.. i do enjoy this :P
While I enjoy the puzzles and love castles in general, the developer actually NEEDS you to use File Explorer to access puzzles 2 - 15. The game will only load the 1st puzzle over and over unless you double click the files from the steam aps / common folder. I realize it's a dirt cheap game but COME ON.
This is a great jigsaw puzzle game and if you have any problems just let them know and they are glad to help
very good. Please add more puzzles. Can you save them as wall paper or screen saver ?
