Penko Park

Did I play it for 6 hours? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Also, yes. Can I recommend it? I... don't know. This is a middle ground for me. It is very much pokemon snap, only the art and style did not feel in any way charming. Instead, it felt disjointed and discordant. Some of the puzzles were finnicky, and stuff happened certain ways just because that's how it was in Pokemon Snap.

Cute creatures, lots to see, playful humor, and photography.
Very sweet game, I do recommend it.

A weird and cozy game about taking pictures of weird little (and some not so little) dudes. I'm just a couple hours in, but the graphics are nice and compliment the weirdness of the strange creatures. I'll definitely be continuing my adventure through the park.

It's basically Pokemon Snap that you can "beat" in less than 2 hours. I say that in the best way though. It was very fun!

Fantastic relaxing game. You literally can't lose. Just enjoy the ride and the skills you unlock to take pictures of all the cool penki you see. There is a bit of a simple puzzle element for finding out all the poses for each type on penki.

We need more games like this.

needed more to live up to pokemon snap from 20 years ago. more animated creatures, more combos like pikachu on a surfboard or flying on articuno, more *animation* in the creatures. they dont seem alive, just wooden boards on pegs.

A quicker version of pokemon snap

Utterly charming little pokemon snap style game. Lots of weird little dudes to find a photograph and the art style is works really well for this type of game. If you like pokemon snap or just want a chill little none combat game with a lot of heart and an adorable art style this is one to look at!

This is exactly the type of silly game that hooks me. I love this one so much, a new favorite for sure. The visuals, the gameplay, the pacing of the unlocking of new mechanics, THE AMBIENT SOUNDS. It's so so perfect and satisfying for my brain. The replayability is amazing and I'm definitely 100%ing this.

There are only a handful of games based on a photography mechanic and this is a welcome addition. The imaginative artwork is fantastic, cute and spooky. Nothing says danger like when the skeletons start dancing at you. Having different routes and many interactions keeps the game fresh as you make multiple passes trying to get all the photos. I can definitely see the potential in this specific game, more items and biomes. I hope to see more like this in the future.

Really scratches that classic pokemon snap itch. Exceptional game.

New favorite game! Beautiful visuals and great sound design. All of the different creatures are adorable and it's fun to progressively figure out how to get all their different poses. You'll find yourself replaying the levels over and over again and still finding new secrets. The story itself is simple and very easy to complete, but I recommend doing a full completionist play through to get the most out of this game. Try to do it without googling any solutions.

Penko Park is essentially an indie version of Pokémon Snap, and it recreates that style of gameplay pretty faithfully. Penko, however, brings in a whole cast of unique creatures to meet and some interesting world building to go with it, even if the game is overall pretty short. Still, it's an overall fun experience and adds to a genre of games that doesn't get seen too often.

When I first got this game I was very overwhelmed and didn't pick it up for a while again, but there was something about it's unique style that kept pulling me back in, so I picked up where I left off and needless to say I loved it.
My only advice to you is to take your time during the levels, all the small details they add in the game makes it so worth it.

very fun and casual, this game is nice when I need to turn off my brain and play a nice little puzzle game. The critters are so so weird and charming. It was fairly simple to understand what I needed to do to complete the critter's pages and unlock new areas. The art style is unique and visually pleasing, it reminds me of a cool little water colour book. I would reccommend this game to people who like weird creatures who make weird creature sounds.

Very cute Pokemon Snap-like. Except even better in my opinion, because you can unlock the ability to stop the cart, an option that was sorely needed in Snap. Not really as spooky as the horror tag suggests. Penko Park is a relaxing and adorable experience!

Got this for Halloween and loved it so much that I played through twice. I only wish the lore was a bit more expansive but otherwise this is cute fun with beautiful graphics. I need more photography games

I actually had fun, it isn't horror, but it was fun to play, rail shooter feels fresh with all this FPS games, also I was interested in universe. And with -70% sale it is totally worth.

Very cute little Pokemon Snap style game, the systems are simple but effective, and the game is oozing with charm.

This is the EXACT definition of "A cozy game that isn't about farming for once"
It's got cute creatures that are a little messed up! It's got surprises around every corner! It's got a lot of little power-ups that can overwhelm you at first, but they are given with the promise that you can always go back again and again at your own controllable pace!

This is the game for people who don't want to miss anything- people who want to explore every little bit as slowly as they want, without ever having to start from scratch to achieve that. You constantly build on progress and lore, learning as you go without being punished for mistakes or wrong turns.

The art style is unique and whimsical, the lore dystopian with a satisfying ending, and most importantly?
THERE ARE HATS! HATS FOR A CUTE LITTLE GUY!

I absolutely love Penko Park! If you are a lover of Pokemon Snap you will love this. Just like Snap your goal is to take pictures of all the creatures while on a track moving through the park, you will encounter many strange and interesting things and the game just feels very spooky and weird but is really a delight to play.
