Ooblets is a relaxing yet deeply-weird farming, creature collection, town life, and dance-battle game with a lot of heart and character.
It's a game for people who want something cozy, eccentric, expressive, and full of things to do.
Make It Your Own
Convert your rundown shack into a cozy homestead, spooky sanctuary, retro-futuristic retreat, or just keep it as a rundown shack. There’s plenty of furniture and decor to collect.
For your character, there are a bunch of hairs, hats, clothes, costumes, accessories, and more throughout the game.
Grow Your Friends
Collect ooblet seeds and grow your own lil followbabies on your farm. Each ooblet has a couple variants to nab, including the lauded and rare GLEAMY type.
You can also make non-ooblet friends by talking, gift-giving, quest-fetching, and whatnot. Get to know a bunch of offbeat townsfolk, like Mayor Tinstle, Rugnolia, Outgrid, Videon, Millew, and even Taffy.
Familiar Farm Functions
Grow stuff, put things in machines, cook treabies, stuff your gob, or sell your produce in town.
Oh also your ooblets can help out on your farm using oobcoops that can be upgraded to expand what kind of farming they can do.
Settle It On the Dance Floor
Instead of combat, handle challenges and disagreements via the art of dance. Each ooblet has its own unlockable moves, so put together a team that works well together (or doesn’t and just looks cute—you don’t get anything for beating the game faster).
So Many Things to Do!
There are daily challenges, tasks from the mayor, dance tournaments, quests from townsfolk, lost ooblets to find, sea-dangling to dangle, as well as plenty of badges, gleamies, clothes, furniture, decor, and friendship stickers to collect.
Events and Limited-time Stuff
There are a few realtime events, each with their own collectables, activities, and unique ooblets. So far, we’ve added events for Springtime, Halloween, and Winter—and we’re hoping to add more in future updates.
Run Your Own Lil Shop
Unlock the player shop, where you can sell the stuff you’ve grown and crafted to the people of Oob. You can decorate, negotiate prices via a minigame, restock shelves, and unlock shop upgrades.
Maxed-out Minigames
We spent way too long making some pretty serious minigames, most of which are in arcade cabinets in Port Forward. There may even be some sneaky ways to beat the arcade games if you get stuck.
Themey Regions
Explore a bunch of regions, like the arcade-filled boardwalk in Port Forward, the spooky swamps of Nullwhere, the deserts of Mamoonia, and the frozen peaks of Tippytop. Also, there’s a dirigible. Maybe a mystery island, too.
Is there A story? Oh Yeah!
Badgetown needs your help! There’s plenty to fix up and unlock, as well as a major threat that only a series of contrived dance battles and mini-games can resolve.
The overarching story/mystery will take you through all the regions of Oob where you’ll meet a lot of interesting folks, new types of ooblets, recipes, and crops to plant back at your farm.
The game even has a discrete ending… but there’s always more to do in Ooblets, even after the main story is complete.

This is a game I like to play and I don't like most games.
I had over a hundred hours logged on Epic Game store and have loved watching this game be fine tuned into what it is, I love this game a lot and adore my pink clicky claws named Pickle Snib- 10/10 have and will probably play again
Unless you dislike card based combat, this is a great creature-capture game combined with farming sim elements in a super cozy town. Oob clearly has its problems, but you can stick around in Badgetown as long as you like, with no real time sensitive quests. It's quirky, surprising and full of things for collector types. You have 6 towns to scurry to and fro, with one of them packed with fun minigames and a satisfying conclusion.
The polish shows a few cracks, causing a few collision glitches on occasion, and I've had the occasional crash, but it's certainly not lacking in charm. The only downside (at least for some) might be it's not apolitical. Without spoiling anything, it's pro-community and somewhat anti-bureaucracy, which might be a turn off. But if that doesn't make you want to run for the hills, you should give this a try! It's one of my favorite games I beat this year, along with Spiritfarer (which has somewhat similar farming and community building aspects, but wants you to cry instead of laughing).
i love clickyclaws
Genuinely my all time fave game
very calming and peaceful to play, there's no pressure for timing and if you're like me where you start another thing before finishing something (like tasks) that's the only time its ever gotten "overwhelming" but not actually
Very adorable game, best for when you are wanting that collecting vibes and with farming then this game is the best to play. Ive been playing nonstop because of how much you can do but also since it still have bugs and needs some fixing but overall its super addicting and something to chill to.
love these lil guys, they're so cute and they can dance like nobody's business.
I want more content to release, it's so fun I love it and was sad to 100% everything cuz now I'm done :'(
i like itand im having fun :-)
Possibly the closest in spirit to Animal Crossing I’ve come across. Very unique and lovable world that is a delight to get lost in. The pace is excellent and the gameplay is wildly fun while simultaneously relaxing.
good very gen z
:) 👍
Pokemon + stardew valley + animal crossing, also dance battles.
I've liked Ooblets more than I expected to. I started playing it on Switch, and kind of fell out of it about 1/3 through the game. When it went on sale on Steam most recently, I picked it up here and started again, and I had just as much fun making it all the way through the game this time. There are certain traits of this game that I've found I don't love in other games - all the kind of stupid, made up words for one - but Ooblets manages to bring its vision together in such a joyful and comprehensive way that it feels natural. It's a very silly game, the Ooblets are very cute, and the dance battles are a ton of fun.
I had a hard time getting a feel for the economy in this game, but I didn't really end up needing to like you do in many other farming sim games. The dance battles are the core of the gameplay, whether they're to recruit new Ooblets or for progression, and the economy comes second to that. I'm sure there are ways to minmax this game, but I found running a small farm for short-term crop needs and spending most of my time exploring was a lot more fun.
The achievements are mostly unmissable as you progress, with a few you'll need to go out of your way to get. The 'hardest' ones were the two for selling 50 and 100 crafted items, and I got those both at the end by just using up everything stocked in my fridge over the course of the game and selling those meals in one go. The 30 hours of playtime was me beating the story of the game and cleaning up remaining achievements, but if I'd wanted to catch every Ooblet, develop a fuller farm, decorate my dream home, or become max level friends with everyone, I could easily squeeze another 60+ hours out of this game. I'm not sure that I'll immediately dive back into it after finishing it, but I'm leaving it installed in case I do want to play more, which I don't usually do with games I fully complete. Ooblets is charming and fun in a way that made me laugh often, and I enjoyed the entire time I spent with it.
I'm giving Ooblets a negative review, although I do believe that it's probably a great game for a different kind of person. If I had a 'meh' option, I'd pick that instead.
I've played about 12 hours and haven't enjoyed the last 5 or so, if I think about it. The gameplay isn't linear, which is fine, but in being non-linear it quickly starts to feel like an overwhelming mess of things to do, which mostly get in the way of the other things you have to do. The farming element is painfully slow, even with upgrades (and the upgrades are their own battle to obtain, given the game has little direction, so you might spend X, Y, Z and put yourself behind without knowing), which makes obtaining certain Ooblets (read: anyone who requires farmed or crafted items to engage) obnoxious. Some days are entirely wasted with the energy system, and naps/snacks don't restore nearly enough to improve the way losing a day feels. Additionally, the humour/writing of the game got obnoxious after a few hours. Feels like a bunch of teens who really like Jim Carrey wrote it- everything is trying to be cutesy, whacky nonsense, but I personally didn't find that charming. Others probably would. Prices don't always match the demand of certain items or crops, there's too much back-and-forth, and the interesting things, like house size upgrades and crafting, are just too expensive to engage you in working towards them.
It's not a bad game, but it feels unbalanced, and is relying too heavily on the "woahhh, whacky!!" element, which is present in e-ver-y-thing. I'll probably slog through to 100% it for my account, but I'm not charmed by the experience, and won't be trying to build relationships or improve my farm/character beyond what is required.
It's fine, I guess, but it's not for me, and I feel it misses the mark. 5/10.
The content in this game is awesome. All of the artists, writers, level designers and musicians knocked it out of the park. Unfortunately all of the good is attached to a game that desperately needs a complete mechanical overhaul. The gameplay itself is not very good and feels poorly thought out. I would still recommend it for the great art, music and cute character designs.
it's fun to find out how to do things and meet all of the ooblets there so cute
It's a nice game you could play lesurely, I'm currently on my way to 100%ing it myself. I love this game and got my older sister into it as well!
Super enjoyable - a top favorite cozy game for sure!
It's so stinking cuuuuuuute!!!!
if pokemon and stardew valley had a baby and that baby was a stoner, it'd be this game
Stardew but with dancing pokemons. 11/10. A must play for a good brain rot time!
Its a good game, the gameplay loop of building your farm is very very slow but the dance battles are fun
Super cute and amazing game, I love the art style and cozy feel.
It's hard to say I'm enjoying this game at all. I think the devs are coasting too much on charm to actually approach something that resembles *fun*. The gameplay is a tedious grind that forces you to do the most minute tasks in the least streamlined way. I sincerely believe that there is a fun idea somewhere here, but it feels too much like a mobile game to justify.. well, really anything. 2/10
literally one of the best games ever. no joke!! i paid full price for this, the first game ive done so on in SO LONG and it was well worth it.
A fun cute cozy game with a little bit of the story.
Good Soup
One of my favorite games I've played in 2024! I had been waiting to play this for years, especially after I first saw a content creator do a play through a while ago. I even restarted a completely new slot to go through the story line once more at a more relaxed pace -- I think if I knew the post-game would trigger when it did, I would have felt less frazzled in getting tasks accomplished. For this reason, my second time around playing has been even better than the first. And I am still on the lookout for games with a similar vibe!
i l ike to when the little guys the little mushroom does a dance :)
good game
good sleep preventer
Just a cute relaxing casual game to play. It's pretty fun for a kids game, I have to admit... haha
I love this game so much. It's cozy and unique, and the ooblets are precious.
Lovely game, with cute little creature to collect.
I got hooked on the game after seeing the trailer years ago. It had so much potential, but the gameplay fell short.
In short, the game is like a combination of Stardew Valley and Pokémon. However, the elements it "borrows" from both genres feel half-baked. The story is poorly written, the locations are linear and rigid, and the mini-games are poorly executed. On top of that, the game involves unnecessary grinding.
The Ooblets game is very colorful and adorable i really enjoy the game, I really recommend it if you want to relax in bed with a small computer,
10/10
good
Firstly, I'm being very critical of this game, and you may enjoy this game despite the things I find lacking about it.
This game mixes the excitement of creature-collecting and creature-battling a la Pokemon with the coziness of a farming sim, and honestly, it works. The game is very charming. Each day I always find myself excited about what new ooblet I may be able to recruit into my ever-growing menagerie, and I get particularly excited when a shiny ooblet shows up in town.
To recruit an ooblet, you must win a dance battle against it so it gives you a seed of its kind. To challenge an ooblet to a dance battle, you must give it a certain set of materials. Some ooblets ask for forage, others ask for crops, and others ask for crafted foods.
This is where the negatives begin to pile up.
See, for ooblets that ask for forage, you probably already have them on hand as long as you're not neglecting to pick up stuff while walking around town. But for the other two, it causes a dilemma. In a normal farming sim, the primary (if not the Only) purpose of crops is to make money, this makes sense. On occasion, you may need to keep a few crops on hand for quests or gifts, but still you want to sell the majority of your crops to earn money for the next batch of seeds or upgrades. Not the case in Ooblets, because now crops are equally important for money AND for recruiting new ooblets, which creates the two-pronged problem of wanting to hoard crops "in case i need it" and being constantly low on money because you're not selling your crops. It's even worse when the ooblet is asking for cooked foods. Many cooked foods require at least two steps to make (for example, Quib Tart for recruiting Unnyhunny requires you to process Sweetiebeetie into Froobtose, then Cook that that with Quibs to make the tart), while others are even more complicated (for example, Soggy Bread requires you to first process Sweetiebeetie and Muz into Froobtose and Muz Flour, then Unlock Bread Sammy recipe in the wishing well, cook that, then Unlock Soggy Bread recipe in the wishing well, and finally use the bread sammy to cook the soggy bread.)
This, combined with how there's no clear linear way to progress in the game, makes it very overwhelming in my opinion. I'm always stuck trying to decide what I should be growing in my limited farm space, and what to do with whatever I grow from it. Do I sell it so I can buy stuff? Do I keep it to recruit ooblets? Do I keep it for the 500 other quests that tend to just randomly require these crops? Am I suddenly developing a self-destructive hoarding habit? (the answer to that last one is yes)
Anyway, cute game. Very overwhelming. 15 hours was enough for me.
fun
Very fun game.
Love this game.
every time my player character goes "bidoo?" in a little baby voice, i become richer in spirit.
such a fantastic little game. so much charm and humor, and a lot of satisfying minor things. the dance battles are great, i love how unstoppable i am.
i'd normally hate moving slow because of a lack of stamina but trudging around the town with z's floating out of my body is hilarious.
save the ooblets!
Literally the perfect mix of animal crossing, stardew valley and pokemon with the vibes of adventuretime i love this game.
it's quirky, it's cute, you've probably played it already, but I am pretty frigging obsessed haha. I've played it for hours on end and not got bored, with cute ooblets, tons of things to do on your farm, and charming personalities throughout the town (Arah is my favourite)
This game is the cutest mix of a farming sim, card battle, and collection game! Collecting/ finding new ooblets, searching for gleamies, and befriending all of the cute members of Badgetown is honestly so amazing.
so chill and silly literally perfect game!!!!!!!!!!!
good for cashual
If you don't have this game I can not be friends with you
The little amount of time that I played this game I love it. It's really fun!
