Slavia
Slavia is a Sorceress who wants to capture the demon. She's not interested in money or fame, she just wants a plaything that she can torture for fun and no one will judge her, if it's an evil demon that she can use for her sadistic fun.

A fun little game with multiple characters to choose from at the start that was genuinely entertaining. If you like smaller RPG games with decent challenge and a fun turn based combat system check this one out! There's not a whole lot of story here but the exploration/combat and trying different team combinations was enough to hold my attention and try to get all the achievements.
The game is interesting, pick your team with future thought involved, and honestly the game is a little too short for me tbh, but if you try to just go through the dungeon as fast as possible you'll find it easy but if you take your time you get more spells and have more fun although there is still the threat of a team wipe due to higher level enemies.
I highly recommend Strangers of the Power 2 if you like quick, straight to it games.
You get to choose from 8 or 9 characters if you buy the DLC for Pain Queen, then the second character will be her close friend while the other two will be the friendly characters to join you. The remaining characters that you did not pick will be your rival for the rest of the game and will battle you on certain floors of the game. Until you know how each character operates, the battles between the rivals might catch you off guard with immune attacks/taunts/heals and etcetera. After your first playthrough, you should know who to take out first or know how to silence/blind/stun your opponent.
Characters/Battles – I found most of the characters were simple to understand and immediately you will learn what moves can be seen to be overpower. I straight up loved Aurae stun shot at the start (100% ALWAYS stunned the enemies 1 or 2 turns) and made leveling so much easier at difficulty 200%, along with aoe characters. You can go to options to change the difficulty from 50% - 200%.
Voice Acting – Very shocking to say that the voice acting was very good. However, you will figure out that the voice acting was limited as you hear the same lines used in a different dialogue. I dreaded hearing Bentley horrible attempt of a Pirate voice. Her voice reminded me of Scott from Southpark. The inn keeper’s voice, I just want to punch him in the mouth because I hate it but glad he only has one line. Samano level up voice is so depressing. That one word, “increase,” sounds so robotic. The Shaman from the DLC dungeon questline, you can tell the voice actor did not have a good quality Mic. Her voice is okay, but it sounds like she is breathing into mic.
Music – Your basic rpg maker music. I have heard it so many times in multiple rpg maker games. I would say that most floors’ music makes sense with the music selection and the battle music is fine.
Map – VERY basic map design with some hidden areas. I will say that if you find the treasure room that’s in one of the beginning floors, put a doubler on and fight the biggest treasure encounter (put difficulty to 50% to finish quickly) for a lot of gold. This will help you buy gear.
Items/Equipment – Basic gear for your characters and items. Nothing really stood out and I felt the gear found in the dungeons were lacking. In some games, you have a chance to find gear that you wouldn’t be able to find at the store. This was not the case nor did the monsters drop gear.
Overall, I enjoyed 1 and 2 and would recommend it for a quick fun game.
You need to buy the dlc to get the last two achievements which is annoying for completionists like me.
Other than that though, a solid little game, very fun... in small doses, the replays the medals require you to do start to grate after a while due to the repetitive monster battles and the unskippable dialogue.
I did thoroughly enjoy my first play through though and I enjoyed the three different endings so I'm gonna recommend it.
Deserved.
The 2nd Strangers of Power. Again there is a small band of 4 girls and 1 little dungeon (2 if you count the very very small dlc).
OK, so I played it with different party members, even with one party without magic....it was no problem.
At last some funny one liner...What I miss is more interaction between the party members and a more livly world.
Simple and fun!
Every house in town has its own outhouse. 10/10 - absolute realism.
Has eye-catching art and sprite, good music, and even go far with voice acting. Something you won't see often on RPG Maker games. But the content is way too short for its worth. Only purchase this game when it's on sale.
For a Game that is fast and you can do multiple choices just go ahead and play it worth it!
I freaking love this game. Again, another game where i can grind away and never get tired. I love me some dungeon crawlers, and this is a fantastically funny one. I bought it on sale, so it was even cheaper than 4 dollars, but I would gladly pay the 4 dollars to play this! So much fun!
Good game, funny characters. You can play this game with many optional features, it depends which characters you choose.
I like most this pirate character, but there are many interesting characters too.
I like the way this game teaches how to play it.
Note: This review is currently in Beta....so expect it to be brief and possibly updated as time goes on.
Essentially, what you had in Strangers of the Power, but with a lot of refinement. More characters (with teams you can assemble), graphically more appealing, every line voice acted. I haven't completed the game, but I'm impressed by what I see. It's a lot to swallow, though, so I'm not sure what to think. Personally, I prefer the primitive prequel more, but only because it's a lot less to swallow in one sitting.
If you're looking for a good looking RPG, then Strangers of the Power 2 is probably the game for you. Give it some thought.
YES!
Okay, so I played until the monster portal, and I can say, that I already enjoyed the good 1st hour of this game! :) I shall play more too once I get down to it. xD
The game allows you to pick 4 characters for your party... The main one, the best friend, and two other friends. xD In my case, I picked the Healer as main, the cat-girl as bestfriend, and the Hunter and Sorceress as two other friends. :D You can actually choose your own team builds for this game, that makes every experience unique, which I really loved. :)
I also noticed that the developer made unique lines for each character and with great voice acting at that. :D So kudos for that. :) It also looks like each main char you choose + their best friend have unique combinations in dialogues and whatnot, which makes variety to the characters' interactions with each other.
Now, for the gameplay itself. It is a fun turn-based battle with some really good animations and enemy sprites. I actually enjoyed its fast-paced battles and any casual gamers will immediately appreciate its simplicity, while still being engaging at times.
You will have a unique Rival depending on your chosen party (I guess?), and I love how you meet and fight them along the way, while treading into the dungeons. There are also some cool secret locations inside the dungeons where you can discover some nice items and bonuses.
The game doesnt have random encounters, and have on-map touch event based encounters, which is really cool. Plus, you get the chance to have a pre-emptive strike, if you every touch an enemy while its' turning away from you. Makes encountering enemies very fun.
Once again, the Voice acting was really amazing and high quality, and you get to hear them a lot in both the cutscenes and the battles. I also really love some of the lines, and find them really funny and quirky! It is such a nice touch to the game. :)
Overall, I recommend this game to anyone who likes dungeon crawlers games and simple JRPG games with turn-based elements. It gives you a variety of characters/classes to choose from, it has beautiful artworks, amazing voice acting, and rewarding battles. What more could you ask from a simple, decently prized RPG? XD :)
I was just browsing the store for a cheap game and found this wonderful game. I had no idea what the game was like and immediately saw the art style which already settled the deal for me. I enjoyed the overall gameplay the most however. It was your standard RPG game except for the fact where you get to pick your main character and 3 others to follow which will later on impact your game. I also enjoyed the aspects of the rivalry system the game had to offer and the different ending that you can achieve in the game . The game had several unique aspects to it that really made me happy when i bought this game. I plan on playing this game more and grinding up those achievements! This game really is a game that will stick with me for a long time.
Strangers of the Power 2 is, first of all, a sequel. However, its story is fully contained within the game and you can play without having any prior knowledge of the first game or its story.
I personally found it a bit short, and the story was there, but could have used fleshing out to give it more oompf. However, it did have elements that made it interesting. When you start, you pick a main character, and then three supporting characters, and that can affect what happens with the story itself and what kinds of endings you get.
Back on it being short: the Dev told me it was the kind of game meant to be played more casually/pick up and play it in a single sitting, or in little chunks.
There was also a character, Bedpan, that gave quests based on what floor you were on in the game (it’s kind of like Diablo 1, in the regard you go to fight a demon while advancing deeper and deeper into its domain, floor by floor). The only downside is you had to get back to town using a consumable or spell to go see if he had a new quest after completing the old one, after advancing to a new floor. Personally, I would have liked it if the quests advanced on their own, without your progression to trigger them. IE: You complete one, he gives you the next.
+8 Main Characters to select from, each with different abilities
+Excellent Voice Acting for almost all characters. Almost unheard of for an RPG Maker game
+Straightforward Gameplay and means of advancing; getting lost or sidetracked was never an issue
+Multiple Endings
+Attentive, reasonable Dev who is happy to fix errors and bugs if you report them. (I reported two major ones and they were addressed within hours)
=Default art on some added engines used with MV. I personally couldn’t tell/care, but some who ‘know’ about this stuff may be put off by it
=Some characters are more ‘optimal’ than others to pick for your party
=You have to use a consumable item to get back to town. One that soon becomes easy to aquire. Would have rather seen this as a learnable skill, etc Spoke with the Dev. All the magic users get this as an ability, I just never noticed them learning it, and thought it was only an option because I had the item in my inventory.
=Quest system gives new quest on almost every new floor, but you HAVE to go back to town to get it AFTER you visit the new floor, and after you’ve finished the current quest.
-No way to skip text if there is voice acting with it. Slightly annoying when playing scenes/game over again. (Or talking to the Inn Keeper for the 50th time) Spoke with the Dev. To enable skipping you simply have to set text to the fastest in options.
-While designed to be a single session kind of game, there is no indication of this on the game’s store page. It can be beaten in 1-3 hours.
-Possible spoiler, but also a negative aspect: Without any prior knowledge of the classes or what they do, easy to make a party that makes progress difficult, or to make an ANTI-Party (those you didn’t pick you will eventually fight) that is VERY difficult to fight against.
TLDR: There are some issues, and it feels like a short entry/demo for a much larger game rather than a fully contained game in and of itself. Still, it’s worth getting, especially on sale.
A worthy successor to Strangers of the Power. Very fun, interesting plot, nice characters, and a unique rivalry system. More to the point, the relationships of your characters can affect how well you do, and the ending you reach...
Worth the price, though perhaps getting the full bundle would help, as you can see where the game has come from, and how it has advanced.
