nice 10/10 game but too fast if solo and long if 4 players

game is good but after a couple of matches, the game becomes deterministic where you just go the most efficient pattern to play -- they should have add more randomizer into the game or other maps to add more variety. despite all that i still enjoyed the game. I just wish they add more stuffs into the game more RNG cards, new locations to farm, random locations instead of fixed places etc to make it more interactive with other players and influence their gameplay.

I love this game its so fun specially to play for hours with famioly and friends!

Pretty much Jones in the Fast Lane. I love it. I can use a controller.

W game with the most goated music to ever exist. Perfect way to do some work while having fun such as when folding laundry and doing your turn every once in a little while. I would recommend this game to anyone that likes board game type games and also has some friends that can either play with you in person or that are willing to buy the game for online play.

Nuilt off of Jones in the Fast Lane with many much needed improvements. The AI is a bit stronger and the graphics are decent. Enough diversity to make repeat games interesting.
One negative, you can't see what week you are in, and you can't see what the CPU players stats are - where JITFL you could

A lot of fun with friends and I think the ideal experience for us was playing with either no timer or a very forgiving turn timer to get used to the game, then go back and try to play more hectic with the round timer. Kind of like a goofy style Game of Life. Good for a few sessions with friends for sure. Once you play a few though the game seems to really only change based on how you play it. Love the style of the game though and getting immersed in the rat race.

Excited for the dev's new game to have increased replayability and such! Would love to see more random event cards too and perhaps a better mix of positive and negative random events.

Fun pickup here though if you have 1 or more friends who you can play with and have fun laughing at each other's mistakes or successes.

The reason i'm not recommending this game is because there's no save button. PLEASE ADD SAVE BUTTON, and of course, the possibility to save more than one game...

The lack of a save button means wether emergency appears or you're simply tired of playing and wish to continue your game later, YOU CAN'T, because there's no save.
AND if you are playing with friends, and let's say, someone has to quit and everyone just decide to continue another time when everyone is gathered again, well, YOU CANT, BECAUSE THERE'S NO SAVE BUTTON.

I guess a lot of people would play this more, and would popularize more, IF THERE WAS A SAVE BUTTON.

Other than this little important detail, the game is a much welcome remake of 'Jones in the fast lane'.

i had so much fun playing this game. the mechanism, randomness, and complexity is really enjoyable. this game is even better if you have friends to play with. however, there are some glitches that sometimes appear and it really ruined the game. the glitches are: 1) timer filled up right after the turn started so it just skip the player's turn. 2) when you buy some "sabotage", there is a possibility that it doesn't appear as if you didn't buy it in the first place. i found out that this glitches only appear when 1 or more player's internet is slow. hope they'll fix it!!

so fun it require small amount of computer capacity. meaningful for person who like organizing and plan their life

Took 1875 hours to complete this game almost 2 1/2 years to 100% everything!!!! Cain't wait for the second game to launch got it waiting on my watch list. The hardest task was saving the 99,9999 which kept getting side-winded by the computer players so in order to bet the game I reviewed the log book again and it didn't say that I couldn't complete the task on single player mode and did so. The game was challenging but well deserved.

Bought this for all of my friends during the Steam Winter Sale. Definitely glad that I did. Fun and easy once you get the hang of things. Sure, it can become a little repetitive after awhile but it is still a fun game to add into our rotation of things to play. Would love to see some seasonal updates.

As a fan of the game it is modelled after, "Jones in the Fast Lane", I am extremely biased in this review. But trust me when I say if you enjoyed that game in the 90s, you will appreciate this game 100% and must buy it. I believe it's a fun game in its own right, but I can understand why the simpler mechanics and shallower gameplay would not appeal to younger gamers.

However for an older fart like me, bring on the simplicity and shallowness, the quirky humor and art stand for something!

Quite a boring game. First time you play it seems interesting, but once, you play a second game, it's all "ah, this again" kind of reaction from you and your friends.

For more details: the tutorial is a short wall of text at the start of your first game, that broadly explains what some buildings do (and you need to read that fast, because there's no time stop for that, if you had default time setting). On the other hand that "novelty" and unexplained things actually provide 90% of enjoyment from your first game. And that would be gone in your next game, where you would be bored.
And boredom comes from what you're gonna be doing in this game. You're gonna pump numbers up, be it money, health, sanity or education, just so at the endgame you get more points. That's the simple gist of it. And while it's fine in a game like 4X, but in this "party-game" it's mega boring. Maybe sweating away with spreadsheets online is fine for some folks, but I thought this game's a party game. It's not.
Random (and not random) events in a form of cards just take away or sometimes add resources to you. No multiple-turns modifiers, or things that make your current run much different that the rest. You just "lost money" or "lost time", or "gained sanity" and that's it.
As people already said in some reviews - your interactions with other players are minimal. Dev says there's a shop for interactions, and there is like 4 "spells" to take away your opponent resources, by paying your resources (health). Aaaand that's it. Just some stat warfare. No unique interactions, no counterplay like in many good tabletops I played. You just rawdog it.

If you love board games, you'll love this game. The game by it's self is fun, but getting all the achievements add a whole other layer to the fun to be had. I'm glad they have an online mode as well. I would recommend this game to all my friends. It's stressful and relaxing at the same time. A game you can bank at least 25 hours in my opinion. The price is worth it especially if you get it on sale like I did.

This is 'Jones in The Fast Lane' reimagined, remade, redone, and reimproved. If you like the old Sierra game, then buy this, because they blew it out of the park; the only thing it doesn't have is a pawn shop. The Only thing. Also, many new improvements, and a much better AI for playing on your own.

This game sucks, I thought I'd be able to play with the family but the time goes by too quickly. It's just NOT FUN and not worth the money

The game is fun, fun with friends or even solo against AI or even by yourself. I think that most part this game is replayable because of achievement count otherwise you would just invest 10 - 30 mins and would be done with it, unless you have friends to play with.

However, each turn game gives player random event cards and most of them are bad ones, but the worst one is crime wave, if player does not deposit his money in bank then he/she can loose all of it, does not even matter if you had 2k+ or more you will just loose all of it which is completely unfair. I wish there was option to disable these event cards.

Fun game, reminiscent of "Jones in the Fast Lane" whoever made the decision to edit the clock on Icelandic....worst decision EVER!

Ok... so gonna say, I DID NOT LIKE IT! I was looking for a random chaotic party game of LIFE, where it would take all of us on a quick journey based on decisions and luck to laughter and fun. What this is, is a life simulator for turning 18 with defined ways to win. After you play it once, it's more like.. "Follow these steps to succeed.", which is boring AF.

THAT SAID... I gave it to a 9 and 12yr old and they thought it was the greatest doll-house simulator ever. Soo..... if you are a gamer, NO. If you like playing dress-up and dolls.. YES.
