Продолжение получившей признание игры Where the Goats Are, «Неподвижность ветра» – это тихое размышление о жизни и утрате.
Where the Goats Are was Memory of God's first game. The Stillness of the Wind will be a follow up, expanding on the original concept.

Very cute game but also very sad. This game deals with mortality and the passing of time in a way that's not scary, but is peaceful and easy to accept.
I'm sure this has something going for it - I just couldn't stick it out to find out myself.
I played for about an hour and I did not enjoy any of it. The mundane tasks hardly felt like I was 'playing' a game, but instead a chore of using a clicking simulator. The main character is so slow and boring - she literally FALLS ASLEEP if you are idle for a moment because you got distracted with anything more entertaining than this 'game'.
There is no tutorial except "you have 2 buttons: Pickup Item (Left Click) and Drop Item (Right Click)".
That being said, there are 2 things you can do, besides walk... and somehow - even that is a bit janky. The icon saying you can interact with something is finicky, requiring you to place your cursor just right to see it while moving - because that's also how you walk.
Trying to interact with things (since its just one button) is a bit like this: pick up bucket, drop bucket, pick up bucket, walk into the fence, no walk to the goat, drop bucket, pick up bucket, drop bucket and pet goat, walk in circle, PICK UP BUCKET, DROP BUCKET, - NO STOP! OMG JUST MILK THE EFFING GOAT!
But really, its the same thing. Every day. Do mundane task. Hear the same sounds. Read some lore. Face-plant into keyboard because you accidentally developed narcolepsy.
Maybe this is the game for you - but Its certainly not mine!
The Stillness of the Wind (2019)
“I feel pain that doesn’t belong to me. I see a face, but it keeps fading away”
The Stillness of the Wind is a narrative centered farming game. You play as Talma, an elderly goat farmer living in solitude. Her family has left for the comforts of the big city, leaving her to tend to their family’s legacy, the farm. Over the course of the game, she receives a series of letters from various family members, each describing their fortunes and fears while away from home. All you can do at this point is tend to the farm, feed your goats, make cheese, meet the jolly mailman, and wait for someone to come home.
At a first glance, it's easy to see Stillness of the Wind as a “chill game” because of the initially relaxing visuals and farming simulator elements. But gradually, you begin to experience the cruelty of time and old age. Talma walks slowly and every act requires energy that can be replenished with a meal. In Stillness, you aren’t farming for profit, but for your sustenance. The game demonstrates clearly the hardship of the average farmer, left behind by the world and family in favor of an increasingly industrialized and modernized world. Once again, the cruelty of time remains firm as life moves forward without you.
Be patient and stay engaged. Be forgiving of Talma and put yourself in her shoes. This is a game that opens a window to a life rarely examined in the gaming medium.
8/10.
It's touching and emotional.
It's a masterpiece, an artistic experience of an old age and loneliness.
If you have 3 hours to kill, miss your Nana terribly, and need a game to make you FEEL something while filling that desire to raise goats and make cheese, this is your game!
A gorgeous little game that really gets you thinking.
The Stillness of the Wind explores solitude and the simplicity of a life that often accompanies it. Each day, you tend to your garden, care for your chickens and goats, grow vegetables, make cheese, and eagerly await a visit from the postman, who brings letters from your family and much-needed goods. Every day becomes harder, and each new letter makes it more difficult to carry on.
The game is quite simple and somewhat tedious by design, which, interestingly enough, enhances the immersion. It’s not the most polished game out there, but it plays well enough. What sets it apart is its ability to convey a profound message without unnecessary complexity.
Este juego es como el dia del padre en un orfanato
worth EVERY cent. absoloutely love it. been thinking about it nonstop since i downloaded it. it´s got story but also just a go at your own pace vibe. i really love it.
notes for other players; even if you don´t care about what the letters are about still click in on them as they can contain gifts, some are more useful than others. buying hay when you can is a smart move if you´re running low, i made the mistake of waiting till i had barely any left and it wasn´t smart of me. if you don´t talk to the mailman when he shows up he will leave soon after and you can´t buy stuff from him during that day. the water bucket next to the well empties after watering around 5 patches. if your tools bug out or disappear you can just reset all the tools without a problem. your goats will try to escape if you leave a gate open so make sure you keep them closed behind you. however th chickens kdon´t escape, they just roam. while you can grow flowers to make your place a little prettier i wouldn´t make it a priority, the days pass fast and the flowers just take a lot of time and space.
This is a very slow game, but at the same time, I feel like the story is pretty well paced. You just have to wait a little for the letters to get interesting. Talma walks extremely slowly, so it's impossible to do everything you want to in a day. You don't have to sleep, though, although it's very easy to get lost in the vast desert if you're walking at night. But the game is really not about managing your farm, it's about the story. It's an experience, and the slowness really adds to it.
The game looks cozy, but it's definitely not. It's tame at first but gets increasingly heavier and heavier. I wouldn't call it horror, but it's certainly haunting. Some aspects of the farm are shrouded in mystery, especially the dolls you can find lying around, which do sort of give the game a little psychological horror vibe. I don't think this game is for everyone, but if you want a slow, heavy game with a powerful story, it's perfect. Deep, beautiful, poignant, haunting... a little masterpiece.
More like a short story rather than a game. That would be okay, except that there is some tight time management mechanics which don't really fit the mood/tone of the game. Given that, It is still somewhat charming, and if you'd like to try it out at least wait for a sale. Not my cup of tea but might be yours.
There's too much to do in too little of a day. You turn your back for three seconds, and your friend has already come and gone without a chance to barter. I don't like games where you are expected to do things in the dark. The writing is not my favorite, so I didn't want to read any of the letters.
Slight Wind.
Beautiful and poignant.
Been no contact with my mother for almost 3 years now and this game almost made me change my mind. Very profound message and impact.
I'm not sure I can recommend this game. The gameplay is rather tedious and the story, while undoubtedly artistic, has a very dark and depressing ending. Wish I could have my 2.7 hours back.
Heavy vibe
This game is beautiful and after two playthroughs, I am looking forward to playing it again. While there are some glitches, the scenery is stunning and they paid special attention to the subtle changes that happen in the sky and weather. This game truly makes you think about resources, timing, and whether or not you are doing something for the very last time. A mix of sadness and fear, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to think about the story more than the actions within the game.
I don't understand why the reviews are so positive, this is a very sad little game. It mostly made me angry as the old lady has grandchildren, but not one of them thought to send firewood, food or anything remotely useful for an old woman living in a desert. Or perhaps that's the motto? "Take some time to look after your elders"
I gave it a 'not recommended' because she moves so infuriatingly slow. Someone give her a bloody mobility scooter with treds.
Game is super nostalgic and comforting for people who has recently felt a lost as I did on Sept this year
SPOILERS AHEAD.
This game is slow. But not in the typical, boring slow. It is inherently slow. You are basically dragging yourself through life, just like Talma is dragging herself through the days and the dust. You only have one guy you can talk to, and he doesn't even come every day, the more you get through the story. You have goats and chickens, and it starts off as this very cozy sort of farming sim, but really... it's not that at all. It just keeps getting worse and worse, subtly, as if your age is wearing on you. As if the entire world has aged into something akin to death.
I don't know, I'm emotionally upset about everything. The dreams were creepy. The music is heartwrenching. My efforts ended up going nowhere, because everything disappeared. I'm... I personally cannot play it more than once. It's just... that bleak of an ending. I knew to a certain degree it would end as it did. But it still surprised me. I still wanted it to end differently. I still wanted her to be happy, I still wanted her to meet her child and her family again, if they could ever visit. I was still waiting on the letters.
I'd still recommend it because it's an interesting experience. But man, I'm just sitting here tearing up over everything.
It's sweet but it doesn't explain most of the mechanics so you're kind of left to guess how to harvest some things or how much time you actually have do do something. On top of that it is also fairly glitchy.
At some point a goat randomly disappeared and I've also seen people complaining about key items disappearing and the "Reset position" option did not work.
You also don't have a visible inventory (or maybe I just couldn't find it personally). For example you have to actively try to plant something to see how many seeds you have or if you have any at all.
Just to preface this isn’t a story with a happy ending, but it doesn’t need one frankly. You are old, you are alone, your only knowledge of the world outside your farm are the letters from your family, the conversations with the trader, and the slow changes occurring in your environment. All of them signal that things are changing, and they’re changing for the worst. But no one has answers as to what’s happening and all you can do is slowly go about your days as you always have, until you can’t. Play this if you’re looking to play something simple and short yet deeply emotional and artistic. Just make sure you go into it with the mindset that this isn’t an experience you can Win.
I cannot describe the investment I felt in making sure this old lonely woman stayed alive, had plenty to eat, and plenty to bargain with so that she could continue build a stable life. And I cannot describe the anxiety I felt as the letters from her family kept getting worse. I started stockpiling and basically doomer prepping as much as I could. Even though mama Talma is in her last years I couldn’t let go of the need to help her survive.
And then there’s no food in the cupboards, there’s no food for the goats, all the birds are gone and the chickens have disappeared. And all that work leads to the same end.
On a logical level I am not disappointed by the ending, you sort of get the idea that it’s going to end a certain way after all your efforts have been rendered moot. But on an emotional level I could not let go of hope. Or maybe I was just hoping to understand.
Underrated and beautiful game. Genuinely made me tear up at the end.
What makes The Stillness of the Wind stand out is its emotional depth. Through letters from family members in the city, the game subtly unfolds a larger, mysterious narrative that contrasts the peace of rural life with the turmoil of the outside world. The art style is minimalist yet atmospheric, and the slow, deliberate pacing invites players to savor the moment, reflecting on themes of aging, loss, and the passage of time.
The game may not be for everyone, as its slow pace and lack of traditional objectives could feel uneventful to some. However, for those who appreciate quiet, contemplative experiences, The Stillness of the Wind offers a poignant and intimate journey that lingers long after the game ends.
I cannot recommend this to other players as a "game." This did not feel like a game. This felt like a tragic story with some interactive elements. It's artistic. It's haunting. I don't think I can play it again. I'm not mad that I played it or anything (though I'm a little sad that they used the G-slur), but having just been through a natural disaster, I think maybe this wasn't the right time for me to play this. Or maybe it was the perfect time. There are charming bits, but don't look for hope, coziness, or anything uplifting here.
LONELINESS LEAD TO THE DEATH
5.5
EVERYTHING SEEMS NORMAL
Everything in this game has spoke about loneliness. Wherever you go, whatever you do, it just lead you to the death. Nothing more than it. The part you will remember is how slow the granny walk around. How you can't move just like normal granny, this granny seems different. Because i realize this game is really something. I need to play two times to know what kind of game is this. The deeper you try, the ending you seek about, you will not find it. That is the only one ending that you will achieve, death.
The concept was pretty well, i know that. The design they made is really good. All environment boosting up the atmosphere of the game. The breeze of the wind makes it more dramatic. And this game bring you some scenes that you will not understand. I mean, this game contain many mysterious scenes and it's confused me as well. But as long as the story goes you will understand. There is no time to wandering around because you will make no time to finish it. Time management is needed in this game. Do the chores and finish everything near the house and you will okay

The Stillness of the Wind is a game that not allowed for the people who got mental issues. The game it self has unique concept. Will not find it in another game. But it's important that this game can affect to mental stable. The atmosphere sometime feel quite mysterious. It just what i feel from this game. People experience may be different. And also this game has slow pacing, really really slow. Need more observation if you wanna try. I give thumbs down because this game is not for me. All the way you through, is just got no point at all. It is like wasting time in my opinion. That's all, hopefully before you buy do your own research. Thank you and excuse me. Have fun~
Thanks for the sad 7/10
I hope Grandma is happy :')
Beautiful and poignant game that is as gut wrenching as it is up-lifting. Lovely world building make for a short and sweet story-driven game.
Only aside is beware if you are playing on mac as some of the controls don't seem to match, particularly the cheese making mechanic.
While the pacing for this game can seem slow at times especially once there's more urgency to do things, I felt like this was a beautiful piece of art. A story that truly evokes emotion especially after investing what time we put into it. I loved the relationships between Talma and her family and those she knows. I really got invested in their whole stories and feelings.
So happy I picked the game up and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good story to play in a day. This game is definitely going to stick with me. Beautiful and heartbreaking.
I would love of the game had voice acting as it is featured in the trailer.
Sadly, there isn't any...
What a hard hitting game. Slow and just gut wrenching at the end. Could not recommend enough.
The game was frustrating most of the times, but it was bittersweet. The days felt long and tiresome since Talma is so slow. But then I started to miss the amount of chores when the days became bleaker. The dialogues and pages (of books, maybe) felt extremely personal and beautiful. The letters were all sweet except for the last ones. They, legit, made me cry.
Overall, the game is a reminder of how everything changes and death is inevitable. A truly wonderful experience to have lived Talma's life through this game.
