oh my god.. wow.
i cried twice. this hit my emotions so hard
Note that I've only got the good ending here, I loved the story this game told.
As someone who figured herself out in her teens, living with a parent who had some major issues, finding some solace online in community, I can relate to Alex's story a lot. The game told a beautiful story in a very clear and also very accurate to life kind of way.
Now, I will say this game is not without its flaws. It's not what I want to talk about, but it caused me to restart the game from the beginning. It is possible in this game to create multiple instances of the chat application that have different versions of the same chat in them. It is possible to softlock the game by accepting a chat from a new person at the right time by not triggering the dad event. The reminder program kept its data when none of the rest of the game did when I reset following this.
In addition to the bugs, there are some quirks. It wasn't clear to me whilst playing this game, particularly because I had to restart and all that took was literally closing the game and opening it again, whether or not there was a way to save my progress. The reminder application in the game had the month and day selectors, but even though the first day's date was the 12th of May and that was important story-wise, I am Australian, we use dd/mm/yyyy and so it took me midway through Thursday to realise I had counted to Saturday from the 5th rather than the 12th. The segment with Laguna toward the end was a little tricky to figure out too, though I expect people will probably just check a guide for that.
Overall it's still a fantastic game. It's been out a bit long for me to expect any of these issues to be fixed, but I enjoyed it nonetheless and I think you will too <3

It made me so fucking emotional. I discovered myself on the internet, and I related to so many of the characters's struggles. I just projected my young trans egg self onto this game, and I relived the joys and griefs of discovery through it. It's beautiful.
This game is absolutely wonderful. Very reminiscent of A Normal Lost Phone and hits even harder. This game has brought me to tears at least 7 times and for wildly different emotions. Highly recommend.
Secret Little Haven is a very good game where you're chatting and playing littles games with some friends on an old 1999 Windows interface... it's kinda like an Emily is away game with a touch of eccentricity... It's funny and with his low price, I highly recommend it!!! 💗💗💗
Incredible game, and extremely relatable. I highly recommend you play this, and go in blind. I have found very few pieces of media that have really touched me the way this game has. Made me cry.

it is a cute game
The game is presented as if you're using an old computer, so you advance through the plot by using the programs on your PC and solving puzzles using the terminal, which I enjoyed a lot. My only real criticism is that the writing feels too naive for its own good and it would've been better if it was willing to get a little darker or have a less happy ending, but it's still worth playing.
