King of the Beach for the NES meets Wii Sports. That's pretty much it. If you played KotB by Konami on the NES the game mechanics (and even little tricky things you can do) will feel very familiar. The aesthetics are all cutesy Mii types. It works. Quite possibly the best volleyball game on Steam.
The gameplay is very addicted but some thing is wrong with only the Player 1 Key mapping. Both controller and Keyboard is not accurate and missing in every button. Key binding option in the game is a joke. You can do nothing with It.
Plays very well. Everything is very smooth. Even the story is pretty fun. The only downside is your AI teammate is terrible in single player. The best volley ball game I've played in a long time.
Quite a fun game to play if you play this multiplayer. If it was single player, there's just not that much to the game, though the basic gameplay is still strong enough to entertain. But with a partner, this game becomes hilarious and tense. Communication is key. The graphics aren't AAA title type of graphics, but they work perfectly for this game, and everything else builds around the art style.
Lots of fun, you should give this a shot if you have a couch co-op partner to play with.
This seems like it is one of the best volleyball games that have ever been made, and it doesn't cost very much. I bought it on sale for $5. But, it is taking me quite a while to get used to the controls. The volleyball games I played before you just hit the same button for everything you do, but in this game you have to use several different buttons on the controllers.
Unlike some other VB games, SVB works, is playable and really fun
Got this game because I've been searching for a volleyball game for a while. It's actually a lot more fun than you would think.
Pros:
-Good character customization
-Actually quite funny
-Mechanics feel smooth
-No bugs/Runs really well
-Good difficulty bots, not too hard or easy
The game is overall just a good time. If you think it's too easy, up difficulty, to hard, lower it. Power up mode is quite fun and allows you to challenge yourself more. Story mode is funny, and quite challenging. I am on my 4th run currently and it's still keeping my interest. Now the cons;
Cons:
-AI partner is overall just really bad
-No online Multiplayer support
-Can get somewhat repetitive
That's really all the bad things. But it not being online co-op makes this go from like 10/10-8/10.
Super tight couch vs volley ball action. Haven't had this much fun since NES Super Spike V'Ball
I am a fan of the game, but there are a couple of bugs that you need to sort out. I have played a LOT of coop multiplayer with 3 other friend and the ball is called "out" sometimes when it really is in. It does not seem like the game always registers correctly. And it messes up our matches, if I should have the point and it goes to the opponent? Kind of screws it up so please fix it. :)
This game is loads of fun. I wanted to recommend it to a few friends who would love it, but there isn't any online multi-player! Would love to see an update with online multiplayer.
This is a very cool game. Its not complicated but its not so simple that its boring. Having fun with it
Im looking forward to getting the others - Super Soccer Blast and Super Tennis Blast. I hope they make a basketball, football, hockey and baseball game, maybe even boxing and golf..... Just get all the sports......even Olympic sports
5 STARS!!! Sooo much fun! A blast to play with and against friends. It is way better than it should be. The mechanics are very good for such a backyard sports game. It would be so much fun (and probably become more popular) if there was an online competitive scene. THIS GAME NEEDS AN ONLINE MODE!!!
I got this game for switch first and have played about 60 hours on it and now have it for my pc as well. Any friend I show it to loves it and and gets hooked pretty fast.
Absolutely amazing game that is AMAZINGLY underrated.
The first time I played this I was on vacation with my friends. At first we were playing Fifa (which I hate in secret), but then the friend that owned the xbox we were playing on said he had some volleyball game. At first everyone was hesitant to play. But once we got into it, OH BOY. We almost ignored the fact that we were in a tropical paradise and just stayed inside to play this game instead. Almost. We played this so much that we managed to beat tournament mode on Ultra Hard difficulty in only 3 days!
In conclusion: GAMEPLAY ROCKS, GRAPHICS ARE OK I GUESS AND THE MUSIC IS CATCHY!!!
Complaints: Why is there no online multiplayer? Why did you remove the darkest skin colour? Was it because of people making racist characters? Well, I certainly didn't, absolutely not... I cannot recreate my xbox character called Nmbenga because of it.
The legendary african and chinese duo will never be forgotten.

I cannot stress how fun we had playing this game and creating characters. Just thinking of the memories I had of this game puts a smile on my face. Buy this game for maximum couch enjoyment!
Easy to pick up, controls really well. Doesn't try for anything too fancy (at least so far) - reminiscent of much older video game style.
At 4 players it's exactly what we wanted out of a small multiplayer game.
I'm a Haikyuu fan. Picked this up because season 4 can't come soon enough. The first thing I did was make two characters with the character creator: Hinata and Kageyama. The look pretty damn close to the anime/manga.
Pros:
- Easy to pick up
- Fun with friends
- Funny references in the story mode/campaign
- Character creator has a lot of options
- Hits and blocks feel satisfying
- Arcade modes are cool
Cons:
- Ball being in/out on the line is inconsistent
- Don't know whether my AI partner has the skill of Kageyama (Pro) or Hinata (Scrub).
- Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump are too good at digging up my hits
This game has huuugee potential. Give it a online mode and a ranking system because its getting boring, if youre getting better then the bots. I hope there will be a online mode in some time.
This game really took me by surprise. I have been looking for a decent volleyball game for a while and this actually delivers.
The game is easy to learn and feels arcade-y, but underneath it offers a surprising amount of depth. I would say that it is in-between Mario Tennis and Top Spin in terms of arcade vs simulation (or NBA Jam and NBA 2K, but leaning closer to 2K than Jam).
Pros
A solid foundation for a beach volleyball game.
An absolute blast to play in multiplayer or coop.
A reasonable single player experience (tournaments and decent difficulty settings).
Avatar creator is fun.
Cons
It could use some additional polishing and content.
The AI player is but could be better.
Conclusion: I really hope people will support this developer so that they can make it better because this game definitely deserves it. It has a reasonable amount of single player content at the moment and is an absolutely blast in multiplayer.
A delightful little work in progress that's already very polished - character creation is surprisingly fully featured and detailed, AI plays a reasonable game, movement is fluid and controls are simple but with just enough subtley to raise the game above something like PONG into an actual arcade sports game. At the current price it's well worth it even if this is the finished product,,, but its got plenty of updates in the first couple of months.
NB - No online at the moment so its local multiplayer or solo plus bots at the moment.
This game is a lot of fun and surprisingly addictive. It's quite easy to pick up and I can see it being a great party game. There's already a lot of replay value in the single player modes though, definitely one of those "just one more match" type of games.
This game totally took me by surprise. it plays a great game of volleyball and is a total steal at the asking price. The only thing that I would like to see eventually added would be online multiplayer...otherwise this is a total gem.
