Species
Almost all the fish and plants that are in the game are created to imitate their real life counterparts. The art style of the game is very stylistic but we aim to make every species recognizable to people familiar with the hobby.
Dimorphism
Quite often male and female fish of particular species have differences in their body shape and colour patterns. It is important to us that we show this in game even when the differences between male and female are very subtle.
Creativity
Every aquarium can tell a story. Create dramatic rocky landscapes, thick aquatic jungle or even a scene showing the rusting carcass of a sunken machine. It's up to you to create the unique world that your fish inhabit.
Shrimp
It is not only fish that can live in an aquarium. Populate your ecosystems with animals that crawl as well as swim.
Lighting
Create a sense of mystery, awe, curiosity or just simple fun with our simple but powerful lighting tools.
Substrate
The substrate is an important part of any aquarium. It can be sculpted to make a dramatic landscape for fish and plants to inhabit
Backdrops
The environment that your aquarium sits in can be key to bringing your creative vision to life.
Breeding
You will know if your fish are happy and contented in the habitat you have created for them because they will have lots of babies.

Fishery is really unique. Its like blender meets the fish hobby. It lets you creating epic aqua-scapes and experiment with different designs. It lets you combine things in multiple ways so you can see what your perfect scape would be like. It has features that make it realistic. Such as fish can feed, prey and breed. It also has settings so you can turn off fish dying or preying on one another if you are more casual. There is a lot to do here and as more as added im glad i picked this up when i did. If you cant own a real fish tank, or If you want to test out new designs this is for you.
This is so fun!!! the sand box mode is very much relaxing and the ability to just watch and observe the fish like i have my own real fish tank? Beautiful! especially being able to set the camera !!
I do hope as the game develops, there'd be a more complex breeding system mechanic and carnivorous fishes eating fry/natural life cycle simulation... if possible, this is going to be a big game by sheer simulation capabilities alone, not to mention the multitudes of fish, plants and decoration it could tap into- you might as well have two versions of the game: a fresh water and salt water variant. Not to mention Ponds???
I do hope though that there will be the possibility of having multiple tanks present in the screen for the option to separate fry or simulate having a brine shrimp tank for feeding fry... and maybe, if the coding, graphics, and tech gods will let it, the ability to selectively breed fishes! Though that might be a DLC sort of situation when this gave ever finishes considering to what extent is the breeding mechanic going to operate under.
Honestly loving every moment i open this up and build tanks and see the fishes. Definitely keen to see it go further in a story mode direction! i can only imagine how much IRL fish keeping could be represented in the game that it essentially teaches anybody the complexities involved of fish keeping as a hobby or a business.
cute make your own fish tank game
As an avid aquascaper, fishkeeper and goldfish breeder, this game has an excellent design. I think this can be a super helpful way for those keeping to trial different aesthetics or aquascapes before build-out IRL.
In terms of the game, I think a really interesting mechanic to add would be varied color morphs. IE: As a ranchu breeder, you could have several base colors in shop such as red, white, black and breed them to create blue, bronze, lavender and tricolor offspring. This would add some serious depth to the breeding mechanics as well as drive the player to interact more in depth trying to understand breeding mechanics.
Insectron breeding in the game "Rogue Galaxy" for PS2 would be a good structure to liken to what Im describing. Super interested in seeing where this game goes!
fish
im having a rad time with it. it fuels my need to aquascaping without getting another aquarium in the house. I do wonder if there will be new fishies in the future too? like rays or eels etc. overall its a vibrant and chill game

I genuinely love this game very much!
It is very simple and straight forward for someone who is just starting and has just enough to keep entertained while also not becoming overwhelming.
Some of the decoration controls are difficult to adapt to as are the camera angles, at least personally. It took me quite some time to become proficient with the camera and discover it's quirks. Similarly, learning to adjust the placement, scale, and angle of the decorations also took some time. That very well may have been my own learning struggles though and may have been much easier for other users. That is not at all a complaint, just something I noted in my own experience.
Aside from my own learning curve this is such a lovely game. The animations are really great in my opinion and the music is such a nice touch and creates a great atmosphere. I am a beginner freshwater fish keeper in real life and have kept fish since I was a child, and recently I have not been able to keep any due to living circumstance, so this game has really satisfied that desire and I have nothing but adoration for it!
I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this game and cannot wait to keep playing it <3!
I am devastated that ive lost my builds, i spent days and days building castles, the krusty krab and much more and because there is still no cloud saves they are all lost after i had to get my computer fixed... other than that i do love this game, I hope when it is out of early access we get to have a creative mode, all i do is build.
