this game is pretty neat. clever puzzles solved with shrinking and enlarging objects. The time constraint is pretty freaky.
game was fun to start with, got fed up with the controls, shrink the ball drop it in the top and quickly try and get to the sliding panels to get the ball to the green, very frustrating, new what to do but just got fed up, well made and fun game but going from fun puzzle to frustrating is not for me, shame as I was enjoying it up till that point.
a little bit short but i guess for that price its ok.
globally i had fun with it but i sadly dont see a replay value sadly.
will still give thumbs up and recommend at that price but keep above mentioned arguments in mind
Not really a fan of doing the same thing over and over. I kept failing at a task. No clue why, I'd just turn red. WTF. If you are a glutton for punishment, you may like this game. I don't have time for this crap.
Excellent, but hard to complete. I got very far, but could not complete the puzzle where you guide the ball through the maze. Maybe they patched it to make it easier, I think that's a possibility. That being said, this is a very atmospheric and spooky VR escape experience, with several different rooms and kinda of puzzles. Easily worth more than the asking price. Hail stan our dark lord and conjuror.

I absolutely loved this game. First vr game I've tried, and it worked perfectly. Great fun puzzle solving. Amazing all round. Thank you
Good short experience for a buck. Multiple clever uses of the one item scaling "spell" mechanic. I could have done without the time limits, they serve only to pad out the content. At about the third section you're going to spend your first round playing with the puzzle, figure out what's required of you but not have enough time to solve it, and then you'll come right back and unlock the next sequence to repeat this experience.
Fun little VR puzzle game. I really liked the shrinking room concept and the pressure it added. Only about 10-20 minutes of gameplay though. I feel like there are comparable VR experiences that are free-to-play, but for $0.99 it's hard to complain. Recommended if you have some spare cash lying around.
This is a moderately challenging puzzle game with straight forward controls. There is a certain amount of elegance in the simplicity, and it does require you to use your brain to beat it. Despite being quite short it is a great value, and I think this will be my go to game when showing friends VR.
Unfortunately I have an anime profile picture, so none of my opinions matter.
Lots of reviews saying the same thing. It's short, but it's a clever mechanic it's cheap and it's fun, so know what you are getting into and enjoy.
Short but polished series of puzzles in a somewhat spooky (but AFAIK scare-free) occult setting. The puzzles are all on timers, which adds a lot to the challenge of the game. Tons of potential for expansion on this concept, and I kind of hope they do. Unqualified recommendation at 0.99$ (or less, as I actually got it).
Conjuror's Eye has some MAJOR problems. For the price, it's worth picking up, though. It's a decent puzzle game with innovative concepts. Puzzle gamers will enjoy it - assuming they can avoid motion sickness and handle the poorly calibrated controls.
TL;DR - Worth the cheap price, but needs some major updates.
1) No teleportative motion.
You're trapped inside a cube, so you wouldn't think you'd need to move around, but the lack of teleportative motion means that if you're not careful, you're in for a pukefest.
2) No options.
The game doesn't allow you to adjust sound or lighting (or choose teleportative motion). I actually wasn't able to see a lot of the graphics because the game defaults to a very, very dark interior (on the Vive) despite the screenshots showing a much brighter and visible room.
3) Controls are wonky.
The control concept is genius - spread your hands to enlarge, compress them to shrink. But instead of pointing at objects with your finger, you have to point at them with your palm. Then, the shrink/grow sizing is not one-to-one, and capped by the software. So instead of sizing something exactly, you're struggling to get objects JUST the right size for the puzzle.
4) Puzzle timers are unforgiving.
Problem one here is the puzzle timer starts even before you're able to interract with the room. Problem two is the timers are unforgiving even then, making the game nigh impossible for kids. Couple that with slow stage-swaps (while the room is still shrinking) , and the game is less "fun" than it is a "chore."
For $1, the game has potential.
If I could sum up my thoughts about this game in one word, it would be PogChamp. Super neat little puzzle game that takes some careful thinking and observation to beat within an hour. Love the work Escailty Games is doing and I can't wait for them to put the s in Games!
Easter Egg: Make the apple on the desk as large as possible and watch as it violates the First Law of Thermodynamics :)
Fun game for $0.99, neat puzzles. Definitely reccomend.
I've played through the first few puzzles and I'm really enjoying it. The difficulty level is just right and the game runs really well on my bare minimum VR rig. I look forward to more like this.
Quick game, good concept and I look forward to more puzzles & spells. Initial room is laggy, and game doesn't like to quit without killing the process on my machine, but the core game is fun. +1
Got smooshed by a shrinking cube.
Beat the developer's speedrun time xD
Don't wanna play for 10 hours tho. Short but fun game, worth the sub $1 buy.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
Neat little puzzle escape room experience. You're basically a wizard and can reshape some items. That will be key to solving the puzzles. I think the game is worth $.99 cents. But if you don't like VR puzzle / escape room experiences, then this little guy won't change your mind about them. However, if you like puzzle rooms then this one is one of the best at this price range.
While you're trying to solve puzzles, there's a big eye overhead that keeps dropping down. You have to solve the puzzle(s) in time before time expires or you're dead. You can only die a certain amount of times (I believe it is six, but I'm not sure) before you will have to restart the game. If you quit before finishing the game, the game does NOT save your progress and you will have to restart the game.
Fortunately, once you solve the puzzle it is usually pretty easy to steamroll by the levels and get back to where you were. Still, I found it annoying. Especially because although it is officially Oculus supported, you can tell it was built with the HTC Vive in mind and not Oculus.
To move with Touch controllers, you have to click down on the joystick and the direction you want to walk. You cannot turn. And worst of all, you're by default facing sideways from the main puzzles. So although you can play this game with standing room, I don't recommend it unless you want extra frustration. You should play with a roomscale setup.
The graphics are not the best. It's kind of too dark as well. Resizing items can be a bit of a chore sometimes. As you're racing to beat the clock versus trying to solve the puzzle at times, especially on restarts. But for .99 cents you're getting value for your money. This is one of the puzzle games that you can beat in 15 minutes or take 1-2 hours depending on whether you get it or not. I definitely had more than .99 cents of fun.
Rate 7/10
Real, real short. Simple. Bit low on neat things like dynamic lighting effects and things like that...
But also real fun for the price. Great if you want some small, short thing to entertain a friend with, or if you just feel like taking a short break from other VR things you've been playing and spend half an hour playing with something small.
And there's value in something small without much replayability - nothing repeats, everything's unique, and if more or less the only time you play's the first time you play, it's a little like having a visit somewhere interesting, just the once.
If this is student work, it's the kind of playful student work that shows the group that worked on this has a bright future.
For only 0,89 it was grate! very short but entertaning. Love love loooove to have more puzzles (maybe some without timepresure :p personaly not a fan of that) The grafics was extremy nice even on my barely OK computer. Very fun small tings to find in the "wizard office" love to have more cool things in there, it was abit dark in there so little hard to see. did feel a little sad for the guy that didnt get paid T.T poor thing.
The movment was a little slow untill i figure out that it was faster when i move with both controls.
Like to have someting so you can go back to the puzzles again...to you can play the one that you have finished again.
