Hands down best beat em up.
It's my lack of research that lead me to be disappointed with the combat : clunky, repetitive, mindless and uninvolved. Playing it, I thought it was originally a mobile game. It's sad considering the level of detail the game world presents. The game is very stylish with flashy animations where you use your environment (wall-runnin', bycicle-throwin', pole-swingin', people dunkin', turnin' super Saiyan) but it just made me wish to play Yakuza or MadWorld instead. The lacking combat is no surprise since it's a game for perverts where you fight in-front of high-school girls in order to impress them and collect their wet panties after they literally cream themselves to their knees watching you punch other men. I wouldn't feel as deceived if they rather named their game Creamed Pantie Collector: Ranma and Friends Versus Japan's Lacking Laws.
Great beat-em up with waifus 👍👍👍
At first I thought that this is awesome! It looks and sounds nice and the fighting had a certain weight to it. Special attacks are flashy and there are crazy location-specific special moves to do, such as punching a guy up to a helicopter.
Unfortunately such feelings didn't last.
The game has 13 characters, but most of them play the same.
Gameplay encourages to fight in various styles, but the way it's implemented is insane. You have to be within a specific radius of a groups of girls, who then make requests such as "finish with a throw", forcing you to lure the enemies to this area and continue the fight.
Since this was originally a Vita-game, it does the very Vita-thing by making you replay some stages before you can progress through the story. Performance also shits its bed if there's more action on the screen.
I don't mind occasional fanservice moments in games, but here it's so forced that it feels as if the developers themselves didn't seem to care for it and just had to cram it in somehow.
I appreciate that this was ported in the first place. I wanted to enjoy the game but the few crazy design choices had other plans in store.
[h1] [b]The game looked cool, but unfortunately there's typical Japanese Bullsh** with the perverted sexualisation of schoolgirls.
Refunded.
Fun 3D beat 'em up, scratches that street brawler itch. The "audience request" mechanic is a cool idea that should be explored more often in action games. Daidoji is the coolest.
