About the Game
Border of her Heart is a VN about a town that recently had plague outbreak. With the quarantine lifted, you are tasked to work on the morning shift at the border and choosing who gets to enter or not. Because of the recent epidemic, you are short on both supplies and manpowers and have to pick only the best candidate and have to make choices who you let in. But beware, as not everyone is who they claim...This is a game where you guard the border gate that leads to a town. People want to enter, some want to leave. You can only let in two people each day but some special events may change this. After each work day, you can socialize with the people that are inside and pursue relationships. Some of the characters have multiple outfits.

I died at my second day and got my first achievement: Penalty is death -_-
The game didn't give me another good choice so i won't give a good vote. It took only few minutes.
Bought this game with the spare change I had because I didn't know what to spend it on, honestly it's pretty good visually and the voice acting is good for a $1.50 AUD game, I like how each characters has their own accents. Good repeatability and the achievements you can get them quite quickly by saving a lot. I would recommend this if you set your expectation down and want a casual visual novel, the plot is very simple there's not much to it. The only con for me is that you can't date the monk or the witch.
Even if free, get away from this VN! It's boring and bland. It's always crashing, I got five black screen in the same path, I don't want to retry and retry just for the competion's sake because a dumb game crash every new day. Plus you cannot save when you skip...
Can you even call this a game when it is played out within an hour? And by playing out, I mean the game bugged and restarted for some reason and I got pretty much fired because no people would come through the gate, met the elf chick twice, maried her twice... eh.. yeah this is a waste of money and time... even though its cheap AF
Fully voiced. Choices matter. Romance. Interesting short stories so to say. It is super short but for 0.79 cents bruh, with all that it has in it, way better than some vns i've played.
I have enjoyed my time with this game. It's sort of bitter sweet, because this VN is actually a lot of fun, but it DESPERATELY needs more polish. It needs some tlc. It needs someone who actually cares to take the time to iron out the kinks, which is what you do when you actually care about and believe in a project. There's a great game here that never quite received the love that it deserved from the people that birthed it. And, just on the off chance that you care about such things, it would have made the devs a lot more money if the love had been given. You get out what you put in. You reap what you sow. Do better.
You can be gay for less than a dollar. That's like, a little over the price for a can of soda from a vending machine. Well worth the price, I'd say.
The plague mentioned in this game causes everyone to be unable to speak proper english and have horrible grammar and spelling issues.
Also you can't wife the witch lady, what the hell? Why would you include a witch lady with big tiddy and you can't date her? I'm into GUYS and I still think its messed up man.
At least it was only a dollar, I got pegged by an Elf mommy gf and got a boyfriend. For a dollar that ain't that bad. Some people pay $60 for a game and get neither of those things.
You play as a town guard who choses wether or not to let people in/out of the town.
This game is very interesting and really good! (I'm glad that achievements were added.)
Lots of romance options are great. Including a male romance route.
it was great its just my first play through ended shortly as i became the new captain and got from what it seemed like married and we got ourselves a house and the crystal i had found in the woods was destoryed which i was expecting my friend to be pissed! then it ended i want to play even more. i really didnt have even problems with the voice acting and i felt the decision making was done very well. "Part 2 Please!"
A very amateurish visual novel, whose only claim to fame will be voice acting (not very good VA, but VA nonetheless).
I've completed the game three different ways in 37 minutes, that should really tell you all you need to know.
Its an interesting idea, a shame its currently feeling like an unfinished game.
You cant save the game before choices, and after less then a hour i have learned i cant load my save files.
As far as the game goes, it is an interesting story, but the choices seems to random, only a couple real choices.
Its pretty clear this is rookie attempt at a VN game, for its price its defintly worth checking out as i would not call it bad.
But it defintly need some patching before i would call it good.I hope to change my review to positive after a update or two.
It was a good short game, I don't know why I could name myself but I enjoyed being Jermam69 and banish THOTS from the town. Then I killed the child and got sentenced to death- which is understandable.
On my third play through I got best end with the husbando, had a good time. The voice acting was a neat thing too.

Fantastic game, I have never before enjoyed so much from any game. It just hooked me :-)
I have started and played it different ways many times, wonderful ideas. I have even got hanged, it has happened never before. Very refreshing to grumpy old man like me, I just laughed for minutes. Wonderful!
I recommend this game for eveyone of you, very good value for money. Game is very cheap, if you consider what you get.

This is a cute little visual novella. It centers around border control, after your kingdom has begun to recover from a plague. A plague that may not be natural in cause...
Anyway, you are a border guard and have a quota of two people you may let enter a day. You can allow people to go out, but if you let them back in, they count. You can also strike up a romance with one of these women, if you so choose.
For the price, it is excellent. Full voice acting, High Definition, and an engaging concept. It isn't that long, either, so it is a quick read.
Played it for a bit. It is a neat concept, but it is pretty bland. I was hoping for a little more story/drama in it and maybe better humor. But I guess that is what you get for a cheap game like this.
Sadly I can't recommend this game. There are better fantasy visual novel games out there or better visual novels to themselves.
Papers Please anime edition
This is a hilarous VN with full english voice acting for every character which is unique.
Has good replay value and it's well worth the price.
Quite a silly little game and, by silly I mean "We know each other for two days now and we're stuck in a cave during rain so let's have sex, because I love you!" type of silliness, and, by little I mean that I've completed it first time in 19 minutes, while reading everything. Yet this game has it's charm, it's fully voiced, which was quite the surprise for me and it is quite funny too. So, especially considering price, I'd say that it's worth a look at least.
Art: 7/10 (Quite good considering the asking price)
Grammar: 7/10 (Not over the top but very much comprehensive)
Length: 8/10 (Very short, but fair given the asking price)
VA: 6/10 (Some of the voices come off as awkward. But across the board it's pleasant)'
Routes: 8/10 (Short and sweet, but rather good. Was quite surprised by it)
Waifu: 9,000/10 (Healer is bae)
Final Verdict: Nice and short, given the price, is a good VN that is comprehensive and enjoyable. Would recommend to those who just want to enjoy a very simple VN.
Side Note: In its current state it still has some tedious bugs that make it less enjoyable.
I don't consider myself a connoisseur of the romantic visual novel sub-genre by any means, but I will say that Border of her Heart has going for it a particularly interesting and as far as I'm aware unique concept that places you in the role of a border security guard deciding who to let in to town and who to turn away. Your decisions in that regard impact what events happen and which characters you can potentially romance.
In short this is a romantic visual novel with legitimate and compelling choices and though short has more than enough replay value to justify the $1.00 price.
